Meet Mike, the captain of this one-off, 72ft 12m wide ultimate performance catamaran. Together with his wife Sarah and their daughters, they live aboard this incredible vessel. As a professional sailor, Mike has always had the need for speed and unique boats. When they went looking for their boat to set off with, they came across Komotion and fell in love. Her unique pod design, sweeping lines and amazingly simple and light build will give any other performance catamaran a run for its money. After over a year of preparation, they have just left on their voyage and crossed the Atlantic. Starting their travels along the world's oceans on this ultimate performance cruiser. HI. I love the boat and thought behind the design. Just curious how much a boat like this would cost new / used? I have been shopping for a performance catamaran and have only seen one or two like this in many years.

A custom built catamaran like this new will set you back a couple mill depending on specs. But this one was for sale at 490k euro. Offcourse purchase price is only a part of the equation. Maintenance and running cost scale exponentially with size and sail area.
