The sheriff's department required that DeAngelo be placed in a wheelchair in case he needed to be removed quickly from the courtroom. It was neither DeAngelo's -- nor his lawyers --' request. If you want to talk about what DeAngelo *did* have control over, consider his limp and his gaping mouth.

This is only my opinion. I personally think there’s more then meets the eye with stuff like this. I believe some of the stuff is totally spiritual.
I totally hear your comment. My opinion is I think something evil was protecting this guy. He might’ve had above average intelligence, he also was athletic. Still the odds of somehow D’Angelo never getting caught amazed me myself. I personally believe that the lord GOD intervened pertaining on how this guy got caught. I can’t explain why sometimes certain evil people never get caught. I still believe the Lord intervened on this case. Here is why I believe that. Somehow this perpetrator (D’Angelo) who is now in his 70s was shown that he couldn’t outsmart everyone (get away with his crimes) Also another incident during this case, Paul Holes as good as he is almost made a very terrible mistake approaching the perpetrator (D’Angelo) for his DNA - which was stopped (Holes decided not to confront D’Angelo) . I totally Believe God intervened on D’Angelo getting caught.

I really like Amber Lee’s interview style. She approaches it like a conversation, rather than just asking a litany of questions, waiting for the person to answer one so the next one can be asked. It being conversational, you get details other interviewers don’t uncover because she asks questions and follow-up questions based on what the person says. I appreciate Amber’s persistence in really wanting to understand all the in’s and out’s of the subject she’s inquiring about. This genealogy, hereditary stuff is complicated and I understand so much more now because of Amber’s approach to it.

@@zochbuppet448 i don't really understand the meaning of your comment. i wasn't implying you were being negative, sorry if you took it that way. my point was just because you know someone's last name, you do NOT know if that last name is connected to their DNA. just because he has an Italian last name, doesn't make him Italian automatically. that could be a step father last name, a step grandfather last name, an adopted name, or his mother could have had an affair and claimed the father was her husband. my last name is irish -- but it's not my real last name, it's actually my step grandfathers last name and i'm dutch. so no, there isn't tons you can find out by a persons last name when it comes to DNA. however, there's ton's you can find out like where they live and who they probably are connected to.

This method of tracking down the Golden State Killer is almost as terrifying as the Golden State Killer. I hope that there are some serious limitations put on the use of this technology going forward in the future, there are so many ways this could be abused. It strikes me as similar to the issue of increased police surveillance power in response to 9/11. The science is also incredibly easy to understand, this interviewer had such painful questions about how the technology works.
