    Possibly my favourite youtube channel. Can't believe you don't have more subs, as the quality of your videos rivals and surpasses many professional off roading videos I've seen, by people who do this for a living.

    Great video Ronny and Co. and some really good technical driving. It's a real shame the government want to shut down MOA. One of the best spots in WA to test your vehicle and 4WDing skills but also to enjoy what nature has to offer. Hopefully the bureaucrats in their ivory towers come to their senses and see what a great job Mal and Bev have done at preserving the land but also opening up their station (and their hearts) for both families and the 4WD and camping communities to enjoy.

    Great footage, and great music, the hallmark of all Ronnie's videos.
    We really need to start a 'gofundme' for you and the crew to get your vehicles over here and wheel in Colorado and Utah.
    Thanks for your time and hard work with the vids, they're inspirational.

    Ronnie,
    Im a big fan and i appreciate your videos. a lot has changed over the years and i have just recently started to rewatch some of your older material. I dont know how to explain it but your older videos like this one are a lot more entertaining and have better offroad material than your newer videos. keep the videos coming but maybe review some older stuff like this video

    Great job on these videos Ronny! As a suggestion for a future video, I would enjoy seeing a video on your camera equipment along with some short clips showing what was shot with each camera. The drone work is fantastic! I would also enjoy a video on what kind of meals you prepare in camp and the general layout of your campsites. Thanks again for all the hard work to make this may favorite TH-cam channel!!!

      I agree. Really great job. I'd like to know what powered gimbal setup Ronny is using for the night shots around the campfire. You can kinda see it in the final drone shot. Also what all the overall gear is he uses besides the obvious GoPro and drone.

    Great job as always. Your videos have become part of the Sunday morning procedure. Great production as always.
    I'm always impressed with that Jeep. Goes anywhere the big boys do.
    The down side is I always have to spend money after watching. After all the rear end skidding over rocks I might look at a steel rear bumper. One day I will feel I can come along and not rip the car apart :).

      If you are talking about what is available in the US, then true. Elsewhere in the world, give me a 70 series LC any day over a Jeep. I've never had a JK, but I did have a TJ and while capable, not very comfortable to drive. Overall longevity is questionable too. Since Toyota stopped importing real Land Cruisers to the states in '97, I'm just going to maintain my Lexus LX450 (80 series), which is 3x factory locked for my overlanding needs as long as I can. Which by all accounts, is a LONG time.

    • @JoeC92
      @JoeC92 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Don Leamon the jeeps are great off road...but on road I alway found them kinda crappy. And the reliability and resale value is terrible on anything chrysler made.
      They are certainly very impressive off road though. All my friends that go wheeling have them, but they say the same thing...terrible for a daily driver if you only drive on paved roads for daily use.

    • @miigaaerdenetsogt7456
      @miigaaerdenetsogt7456 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +James Shaw If we only consider capability and fun, yes it is true. However in real world, we need to consider what we should bring with us to the long trips, how likely it is to break down and leave me alone in the middle of nowhere where i would have to walk days to get to civilazation, and how long would it survive on the tracks like these (200K, 400 k?). I think those are reasons that Jeep wranglers are not as famous as Toyota Land Cruisers (specially 70 and 80 series) and Nissan Patrols. Some would even argue cruisers are more capable though.

    First I must admit that I'm a photographer, not a wordsmith. The imaging is beyond brilliant; yet I know of no other word. With lots of respect and admiration of Andrew St.Pierre White, he might be chewing vegemite in his nightmares. Like Andrew, your video shows an enjoyable combination of technical trail driving, scenery, and social engagement. I enjoyed the video immensely. Throughout the video I heard the familiar grinding and chatter of brakes. Do you have any tips that an average off roader can use to clean, lube, or maintain those stoppy things? P.S. Although I'd gladly welcome any of you to join me in the outback of Canada, Wayne seems to have the hat and backie to get firewood on those cool nights. Cheers Ronny.

    • @donleamon8653
      @donleamon8653 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Mike Duckworth
      LOL RE Mr. St.Pierre White. He is really trying to get a big following on YT, but seems to lack traction somehow IMHO. Met him at the Overland Expo in Flagstaff once. Seemed like a cool dude and I do like his videos. As to the brake squeal, that is just what they do under slow, high load stopping. Nothing wrong with them.

    • @MichaelRoyDuckworth
      @MichaelRoyDuckworth 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm quite familiar with the normal brake noise. But I was wondering if Ronny did extra maintenance to brakes after excursions.
      I love Andrews expedition videos and stories. I'm a dedicated subscriber to 4XOverland. I hope he does well for himself and produces many more videos.

    Hi Ronny great camera work, especiallly the aerial views. I noticed that all of your rigs are diesel powered with the exception of your father's Jeep. I have not seen any of those vehicles with an oil bypass filter. They are commonly used on diesel powered heavy equipment, class 8 trucks, and on maritime diesel engines. They have been proven to greatly reduce engine wear by the reduction of soot and other small particles in the motor oil. Am I just not seeing them?

    • @Ronny_Dahl
      @Ronny_Dahl  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      We do run them but they are out of view, I have a catch can I'm my diesel motor which is an aftermarket addition. Also most of serious outback travelers run a second diesel filter to reduce the risk of damage from poor/bad fuel.

    hey Ronny huge fan here from the states. have Ann 88 4runner and was thinking of getting a lift installed but can't decide on a suspension lift or body lift. what's the difference ? and what do you think would be more bang for the buck?

    • @Ronny_Dahl
      @Ronny_Dahl  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Suspension lift is more useful and will give you lift and wheel travel. Body lift is more for when additional clearance is needed BUT it won't lift the chassis only the vehicle body. Most vehicles with a 2inch body lift will require extensions of various components i.e. Steering arm, brake line,s radiator brakes, barwork adjustment brackets and the list goes on.... Benefits are more clearance to the body (door sil) and perhaps clearance for bigger Tyres.

    • @Ronny_Dahl
      @Ronny_Dahl  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      In short suspension lift always before body lift.
