On a 3 piece patch a rocker would be the top and bottom patchs, Some 1% have a single patch on the back. Rockers usually designate territory like state they are from.
I talk to some owners of bars yesterday, they said they were not issued tent permits yet, they said they are going to let bike parking in the middle of the street, also they are making more space inside by taking pool tables ect, out, they will do all they can to make the bikers happy, see you all there
Happy birthday Mike, it won't stop us from coming to Bikefest we'll see you guys there brother, I remember in 06 in Sturgis there were a few places that wouldn't let us go in if we were wearing our patches, and we decided that if we had to remove our vest in to go in, we didn't go in, thanks again for the update brother💯
A local dealer (H-D Valparaiso, IN) announced a “no patch” policy earlier this year at their events but had to backtrack when many who attend their weekly events pointed out that would have barred HOG and Legiom Rider patches.
If people think telling MC’s what they can or can’t wear will stop the problems, I’ve got bad news for them. Not all clubs who wear patches and kuttes are looking for trouble, most are just looking for a good time. I see a lot of people not going into businesses where they don’t feel welcome, and I don’t blame them. Being in an MC is a personal choice, and I get the brotherhood. I have never understood the knee jerk reaction of punishing the many for the actions of the few, yet it seems to be the normal any more. Thanks Mike, as always, I appreciate the content.
Because regardless of what those guys did this reaction isn’t warranted and it’s a form of profiling. I don’t condone clubs shooting it out or fighting in public. I also don’t blame someone for defending themselves if someone pulls a gun on them first, regardless if the are we’re a patch. We don’t punish or discriminate against a group of people for the actions of a few. Targeting LEO because of a few bad cops is wrong, this is wrong. 2 wrongs don’t make a right.
@@RidingintheOzarks so your gonna punish a business for wanting to keep troublemakers out? You're messed up. Your lucky they haven't canceled bike week altogether. You should be telling people to support the town and businesses no matter what instead of trying to stir the pot.

How about we put up signs refusing service to law enforcement because of the actions of one officer, is that ok?

I'm still aiming to go. Even with all the stuff going on. As far as the signs go. A good part of me feels like they will be ignored during the event. I don't think people will pay to much mind but I maybe wrong. Who knows. Guess we'll see. Haha
Happy Birthday. Hope i can make it this year. Not wearing your colors not going to change anything I know who i'm pissed at without them wearing a sign on their back lol. and no beer gardens is crazy bars are already packed.
When a few cause a overall rules or changes. Then you don't live in a free country ! Free people don't get punished for what others action do or cause !
Would I enter a business that posts a sign as such.. maybe, likely if I like what they have. I can take off any potential identifier for the sake of the employee's perceived safety.. I believe the lake area is suffering from growing pains, and being its just seasonal, it prevents additional challenges of consistency.. a band of "Colors" might likely include any known soft colors, and Yea I feel the pain of combat veterans (I'm interested in it and might check into due to my time in the middle east) rejections or other simple motorcycle non-aggressive clubs, but where can one easily draw the line when a club dives into violent behavior as they are all populated by people which attitudes can sway from immediate or near past events..
Oh yeah those signs will stop any problems. Ha! The rival clubs know each other weather they are wearing colors, patches, whatever or not. I'd rather bring my own beer and drink it while wondering around like we used to be able to when I was young. I always take my business eleswhere when theyput up signs telling what I can and can't do and enforce it. If the sign is up and they leave me alone I usually go there.
Being local, We generally only stop into leathermans and the little store next to it for a drink and some shade. Then walk down the strip to check out the scooters. Usually end up riding an Indian or two and going H-D dealership to see what they have in the vendor area. Hopefully ride a demo there as well. I can’t imagine the local government folks will eliminate middle parking at the strip. Bike fest is a big cash cow. I can imagine them increasing LEO presence, and DWI checkpoints. Anyhow, we’re planning to ride up there as least once during the event, no worries.
We are still going but I’m concerned city is going to punish the event over the actions of a few locals. This shit was brewing and really has nothing to do with Bikefest.
When it comes to being in a bar, restaurant, etc. I prefer that the club members are allowed to wear their colors. Simply because I can tell at a glance who is who and I can be certain that the chances of anything bad happening is next to zero. When a club is out together they are always watching out for each other and they will always be aware of where all of their people are at all times. And I can tell you that a man that is wearing his patch will not do anything to cause problems and bring unwanted attention to the club. The problems usually start from a "citizen" that probably had too much to drink and thinks he is superman, and he just has to run his mouth. I literally feel safer in an establishment with patch holders than I would if the same place was full of cops, cause cops will rarely keep themselves in check.
Bikes blues and BBQ was canceled and moved to Rogers from Fayetteville because it fell on the same week that the football game was in town so the city Council bikes blues and BBQ Washington regional hospital Had a hand and it to being in Rogers is not any good I went to one and I will not go back again
the city is expressing the desires of the community in regards to the strip . . . and a larger portion of this community do NOT want any of that element in this area . . . if you're wearing a 1% patch, fuck off . . . if you're rep'n a 1% club stay away . . . and that goes for their fresh new 'corporate' orgs / clubs and fraternities . . . putting a "legal" face on nefarious endeavours doesn't forgive the what you've done and chose to represent . . . as for the strip businesses themselves a lot of local interest are tired of the craptastic way they operate, time to invest in this community not just use it as a personal piggy bank. . . .that means an ethically ran business with proper presence and yes, in 2021 that means legit security . . . licensed, boned, insured, armed and well trained for that specific environment. . . . it's sad i'm a mile away less by water and the entire cove is worried about some stupid pop'n off because grown men want to act like punks and some businesses encourage it, while law enforcement watches . . . no much longer folks i'm telling ya.
Never gone not going won't go no colors mean you don't want our business and when I flew patch it's but up or shut up you wore your patch not a t shrit so you don't want colors let patch holders stay home and let the trailer queens have the lake

Exactly patches don’t just mean 1% MC’s
Have a HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIKE🎂
Thanks Mike!

I wouldn't step foot in any business that has those signs up
I agree!
Happy Birthday Mike.
Instead of blaming the city, law enforcement and businesses why not blame the people who have caused this problem

BTW if I remember right plenty of businesses around Sturgis have a "no colors" rule.

Few bad apples ruin it all. Soooo dumb of them!! Happens here in Texas unfortunate

Unfortunately some clubs are not keeping to the traditions...in this case the beef goes back a few years I hear.
That's pretty funny since the problems at the lake started between 2 one percenter clubs
