Very interesting, inspiring and enjoyable. Thank you very much. Cézanne, my favourite painter and the founder of modernism, abstract painting, Fauvism and Kubism. His genius didn't stop giving and we are grateful to see and admire his works today and appreciate them, as they always should have been!

This is maddening. A documentary about a great painter and most of what we see are talking heads. Why??? Please please, let's have a narrator with the artworks as the stars.

I believe that Cézanne and Zola were childhood friends in Aix
Paul Cezanne, whose innovative Post-Impressionist paintings would pave the way for 20th-century Modernism, was born in Aix-en-Provence. He was a childhood friend of Zola; who would become the most prominent French novelist of the late 19th century.
Cezanne defended Zola from bullies in the schoolyard, and one day Zola thanked him with a basket of apples. The moment had a great impact on Cezanne, and the apple would become a favoured subject of his.

I love Cezanne, I liked this documentary, but a couple of those "experts" really "grinded my gears" tbh, Lol

A 36:55 , a mon avis ce n est pas un Paul Cezanne , peut-etre que je suis dans l erreur mais les nuances de Cezanne sont habituellement beaucoup plus subtiles ...?

The talking heads are in sharp focus and full frame...but not the art. PARTS of paintings...in constant movement...and almost NEVER shown full screen when shown intact. Your priority is your face instead of the paintings?
