@@GenericProtagonist118 That’s actually a principal in Sun Tzu’s art of war, he was never a fan of surrounding an enemy because they’d fight to the death or at the least you’d lose more men so by giving the enemy an Avenue to retreat they would flee the fight.

Very true. I'm a space marine player but I've read a lot of the lore and people don't realise the imperiums sledge hammer is the billions if not trillions of Guardsmen and their tanks etc that crush most of the enemies but sheer overwhelming mass.

There is a reason the Astra Militarum is called the Emperor's Hammer. Let it be known that Cadia broke before her guard did. I might not be an Imperial Guard player, but they deserve a lot more respect than they get.
I believe in some Books, it outright refers to the Space marines as the Imperiums Hammer, and the Guard the Anvil.

Let's be honest... one of these factions is going to look at the casualties of this battle and call it acceptable.
To be honest, more like "negligable". The World of Krieg alone likely produces more troops than the Clone Army can muster, the Numbers in Star Wars are laughingly low. The "Grand Army of the Republic" is numbered at 3 Million Clones at the beginning of the War, thats not even as much as the bigger Nations on Earth can field during Wartime.
Even at the hight of the Clone wars, the Republic Senate had a big debate about 5 Million additional Clones, that's an Ant to be stomped by the Billions and Billions of Imperial Guard Soldiers.
@@Azaghal1988 Well, the clone army is high quality. If you look at the CIS they had billions of droids and their doctrine of war was overwhelming the enemy so fighting the Imperial Guard is very similar, tactics are WW1 at it’s best, not to mention the Tau Empire is also comparatively small and the Imperium took heavy losses. The reason the republic had a hard time in the clone wars is because it’s vast in comparison to the CIS, over 10,000 systems to try and defend. They are way better equipped than the IoM in terms of travel and communication so the clone army can deploy anywhere anytime thanks to the navigated hyperlanes.

For a Cadian regiment, that is hardly acceptable. Each of those men would be considered a veteran in most other regiments. A valuable soldier, worthy of preservation. That "tactical" approach would see the commander executed, if he dosn't get fragged by his own soldiers first.
Even a Commissar would yell at them to take cover.
@@Myuutsuu85 Cadia is literally the gold standard, everyone always sucks off Krieg but there is a difference between discipline and insanity. Kriegers are well known for marching in overlapping fields of fire, in lore they fight like B1 Battle droids marching into a killzone. Chadians actually give a shit, they don’t break from combat and use common sense.

You need to remember, a 95% of one battalion is only a 0.095% to the rest of the Imperium.

Humanity has a million worlds, many of those have millions to BILLIONS of people on them, leading to trillions if not more of humanity. The Guard alone has to number in the upper hundred million. The pscae marines are a few million with the thousands of chapters, and there is the Navy, Sisters, and Mechanicus. Yea.. the Imperium can lose a battalion to take a world and see it as an insignificant price to pay

I mean let's be fair, as impressive as the Baneblade is, The Empire has numerous equally as impressive and powerful vehicles.
I'd be interested in seeing this battle on a larger scale. Whilst they're certainly the underdogs, The Empire is one of the few other fictional armies outside of 40K that stand a chance against the Imperium.
I could see the Imperium suffering enough losses that they would be willing to do some negotiation with them.

Plastoid armor is designed to dissipate the energy of a blaster bolt across you're entire body and make you pass out as a result instead of getting a hole in your chest.
its why sometimes you see Stormtroopers who are still alive in Rebels and Rogue 1 after getting shot at close range.
As the Imperium Crusade on the Star Wars galaxy rages on, the Imperial forces who landed on Tatooine, discovered a hidden Republic stronghold has been spotted deep inside of a canyon. The base appears to be abandoned, but Imperial commanders are taking no chances. They have deployed an armored column to seize the base, but the crafty Clone Troopers of the 501st Legion under General Anakin Skywalker have prepared a nasty surprise for the invaders.
Despite their white and blue colors, the Clones managed to keep themselves hidden from the Guardsmen who are marching in tight formation with their column of Leman Russes and a Basilisk. The Imperials approached the destroyed tank and discovers live explosives attached to it before they are consumed in a huge explosion, shocking their comrades.
Beginning the ambush, the Clone Troopers opened fire on the Imperial forces with rocket launchers and heavy blaster fire. Taking casualties, the Guardsmen returned fire and fought back against their enemies in all direction, killing scores of Clones from the High Ground they are on. The Guardsmen took cover behind the Leman Russes and covered each other's back as they and the vehicles unleashed hell upon the 501st Legion soldiers who started losing more of their brothers despite having the High Ground and the element of surprise on their side.
However, the 501st Legion ambushers received reinforcements as they advanced upon the Imperials in front of them and opened fire immediately. However, the Imperials fought back and held their ground despite being pressured by the Clones' three way ambush. Regardless however, the Guardsmen requested for Heavy Armor and he received confirmation that they will arrive within 4 minutes.
Now the Imperials will have to hold the line for 4 minutes and survive until backup shows up. Even with the loss of their brothers and sisters in arms, they continue to fight on for the Emperor of Mankind on a galaxy far far away that they are going to conquer, claim and colonize for the Imperium, and they will persevere and prevail no matter what.
The Clones pressed on the offensive against the Imperials but they are quickly shot down in droves. The Imperials are reminded too much of the Death Korps of Krieg after knowing with disgust that the Clones are an army of mass-produced humans whose only purpose is to fight for a cowardly Republic that refuses to commit its own citizens, the vile xenos and the traitorous humans, to defend it from their righteous Crusade.
The 501st Legion receives two
TX-130 Saber-class Fighter Tanks from the Republic base and they assaulted the besieged Imperial forces, destroying another Leman Russ. While the remnants of the ambush unit kept up their attack but are all wiped out like the Clone Trooper with a Z-6 Rotary Blaster Cannon did before he was shot down by lasgun fire. The Clones took cover fighting the TX-130s and with more reinforcements pouring out from the Republic base, advanced upon the Imperials who are losing more men and ground.
The Imperials and Clones kept on exchanging fire at each other and lost many comrades. But the tide turns against the 501st Legion as the Imperial forces received backup of new Guardsmen forces arriving to aid them and push back the Clone Troopers. The TX-130s opened fire on them and scored a dozen kills before they are overwhelmed and destroyed.
The Guardsmen pressed forward towards the Republic base where the Clone Troopers readied themselves against their charge, and engaged them. Despite their heavy barrage, the Imperials are advancing and never stopping at all, finally reaching the entrance of the Republic base and attacked the Clones trying to defend it.
Now the Clones are suffering the taste of their own medicine and their ambush on the Imperials have failed miserably. To make things worse for the 501st Legion who are trying to hold back their enemies' attack on their base, a Baneblade appears after 4 minutes of arrival is up to back up the Imperials and fired one powerful shot that decimated the Clones, leaving a huge crater and piles of gore and blood behind.
The 501st Legion desperately attempts one last charge on the Imperials as they ran towards them guns blazing on them and bring as many Guardsmen down with them. It was all in vain in the end, and they are completely wiped out to the last Clone, resulting in Imperial Guard tactical victory.
With the defeat of the 501st Legion and failure of an ambush, General Anakin Skywalker is forced to order what's left of his men to retreat and escape from the Republic base that is already lost. At best, they will have to resort to guerrilla warfare until the Grand Army of the Republic relieves them with any kind of reinforcements despite Kamino is too busy trying to mass produce more Clones and the Senate is debating whether or not they should conscript Republic citizens into the military.
While Anakin Skywalker has no love for Tatooine where he was once a slave in the past, the people who live on this planet do not deserve to go through the atrocities done by the Imperium who have occupied and decimated worlds of its populations before converting them as their own territories.
That is what I say, the only way for the Republic to continue fighting is for it to become the Galactic Empire but without the name and to become more militarized. I can see a future where TK troopers fighting side by side with clones, droids and Jedi against the Imperiumn. Even the Jedi they will be come fallen jedi like the comics and TCW during the battles. I am the same guy, if you remember me XD

Ironically the best way for the Republic to fight the Imperium is to fight them as if they are later Rebels with guerilla warfare as their only real advantage on the defense is speed (mass production of clones also helps but that doesn't solve the firepower issue and the lack of heavy shock troops who are battle hardened veterans), they are massively outgunned, massively lack the experience (at least when it comes to the elites) and the Imperium somehow managed to maintain a Galactic spanning Empire that is slowly degrading socially and technologically and being beset on all sides from inside and outside its borders for 10,000 years.
Forick Grimaldus thats what they did in this video, and honestly the 501st shoulda taken a W here. They had the guardsmen surrounded here and for some reason had mostly regular infantry to ambush an armored column with a large infantry escort close to each other instead of demolition experts only. Would make a lot more sense to have mostly rpg clone guys there who would follow the rocket volley up with detonators while snipers fire from the base as the remaining guard force is engaged with the republic tanks.

@@forickgrimaldus8301 That wouldn’t work because the Republic had a centralized military and a centralized structure so guerrila warfare doesn’t work. The rebels were decentralized and could easily use geurrila warfare

I think the part where like a hundreds clone troopers rush is not too clone-ish, they have lesser numbers so they behave like it, they’d have stood back and fire within their positions, not rush.
The imperial guard on the other side WOULD have done that, as they are always suicidal.
Exactly. It gets a bit cliche knowing that most of these videos always depict Clones without artillery, dedicated armor, or actual tactics, and as such it always results in hundreds of Clones standing in the open as artillery, or Space Marine drop pods rain down. In this case charging a Baneblade and dying. No Turbotanks/Juggernauts, no AT-TEs with mass driver cannons/railguns, no ion weapons, no squad shields, and of course the Hover Tanks that are included are underpowered and never fire rockets, or demonstrate that they have speed and firepower easily rivaling that of Eldar Tanks (which have been known to wreak utter havoc on Imperium armor formations). I suppose maybe the mod simply doesn't have those things though.
More realistically, I think the Clones who were undetected, behind cover would've opened up with dozens of Thermal Detonators contained in those backpacks they all had, in addition to RPS-6 Missile Launchers, and the pre-placed explosives. After the opening salvo, Clones from extreme distances would begin sniping the Guardsmen below who were caught in the open, using their targeting systems, skill, and rangefinders, which all of the Clones seemed to have in this video as well. Within minutes most of the Imperial armor would likely be decimated considering they were traveling in a valley, and the Clones had them surrounded. I doubt a tank as large and slow as a Baneblade would arrive in mere minutes undetected either, or that a plethora of anti tank weapons wouldn't be used against it, including Ion Weapons.
Ultimately, it would probably be a minuscule loss for the Imperium, but it would be a loss considering they are fighting the elite 501st Legion (with TONS of battle experience against Droids, Pirates, PDFs, technologically superior enemies like the Umbarans, etc.), who have set up a base and fortified the surrounding terrain. It doesn't help that the Imperial forces are surrounded, but all of this is just how I think it would go down :)
@@Noah-zz8uw kind of easy to see the the creator is more into i Warhammer and focused on having them win and making big battles. While in the end the clones would probably lose to shear enemy numbers would be more interesting to see them use better tactics to see how each faction fights differently.
@@Noah-zz8uw The creator is bias. That is clear. But the mods themselves are not on the same level of completion. The cis and Republic have like 10 vehicles combined and half of them do not work or they flip every second.
@@Noah-zz8uw It would be interesting to see a battle with the 21st Nova Corp's Galactic Marines as they are also an elite clone force (the most effective of the GAR I think).
The Guard varies too much to know for sure: a big part of the problem in fighting the Guard is that you can never tell when you're going to be fighting a bad general who just throws bodies at a problem, or a brilliant one who will have drop troops or mortars reigning down ten seconds after the shooting starts. Clone Troopers will easily defeat the former, but the latter would be completly beyond their experince, because Droids don't use such fluid tactics.
Just as an example, there was one case where Dark Elf raiders cut an Imperial detachment to pieces in an ambush, and then retreated right into a horde of Guardsmen, because the Mechanicus calculated their likely path and built a wall of Guard around it. Dark Eldar usually find the Guard a joke, but the exceptions can thus be ruinous.

Love the idea of the Republic putting up a good fight, but losing the war of attrition due to the abysmal zealotry of the Imperium.
The only alternative to atleast hold the imperium is simply conscript the population of the Republic which is obviously a logical solution and Clones are very expensive. A good example is that it take 12 years for a clone to get prepared and a lot of genetically coding which is expensive plus you have to give them 2x the pay then an ordinary recruit soldiers where as you training a soldiers only takes you 2 years with minimum expenses an zero genetically coding.

@@Fulcrox Thats true. By the last year of the clone war the republic was using different cloning methods along side the Kaminoen one. This produced combat ready clones within 6 months to a year. The problem though was that these clones were not nearly as skilled as the first batches from Kamino. Clone troopers were produced to be the best of the best, the cream of the cream of the crop. But as the saying goes in the guard "quantity has a quality of its own."
That is more or less how it would go. Tech wise the SW universe is much more advanced with better weapons and vehicles, you could probably expect to see them win in space combat to a certain extent but lose to shear number. Only way SW could really win is if they went in on fully droid production and start spamming out things like the super battle driod en mass, which they could have done if the clone wars wasn’t a more proxy war made by the Sith.

I would say that this is playing along with the imperium:
1) the clones that set up the ambush are practically devoid of heavy anti-tank weapons, although they were clearly going to attack the squad with armored vehicles.
2) when the attack starts, the first and last vehicles in the convoy are destroyed first, which does not allow the rest of the vehicles to maneuver.
Clones don't do this.
3) soldiers with rifles and machine guns should only attack enemy infantry, not vehicles that cannot be harmed.
4) if an ambush is planned, then a direct attack from the clone base should have started as soon as the shooting began. That is, as soon as the bomb exploded, then simultaneously with the shooting of the soldiers on the hill, the main forces of the clones should have attacked.
5) As far as I understand, clones are attacking a separate detachment of the enemy. Reinforcements for the Imperium will arrive after the timer expires. Then where did the guardsmen come from, superior to the original detachment?
6) it looks like the clones from this mod do not have a weapon capable of damaging Baneblade. That is, it was possible to simply release this tank with the same result.
7) why do clones keep attacking imperial troops instead of retreating to a base that has cover?
I'm suspecting neither have actually met the other group to an extent of knowing the other's capabilities enough to know tactics like that would work. Ambush this may be, this all just screams 'probing attack' on the Clones' behalf.

Even when the clones get the drop on the Imperium and have first blood. They still loose and get slaughtered. I'm starting to think this guy just does not want to give those clones a win. Not even once.

Sounds realistic and reasonable to me.
To put into perspective, there were about 200,000 clones in the clone army active at any point. There are estimated to be trillions of imperial guard. While the clones would probably win 1v1 or maybe even 2v1. They can’t win 200v1. In the siege of Vraks alone over 14 million imperial guard died.
If this video was at least somewhat accurate, then they would've lost simply because of the fact that they have 100+ ready to fire and in a hard to hit position
But I don't get how they one shot the clones, but the clones have more powerful plasma blasters
If they were in full armor, then it would be a challenge, but they aren't, so the clones could just peirce right through their armor or legs
@@henerymahlum1577for reference, the shot from an imperial lasgun is about as strong as a .50 (basing this comparison on many descriptions of lasguns popping heads like balloons, ripping off limbs with one shot and so on) while the blasters in Star Wars mostly just singe coin-sized holes in their targets - still very lethal, but we have seen many characters, named and unnamed, survive a blaster shot
In the vid, though, the main issue is the balancing between these two separate mod packs, with the 40k one decently portraying 40k stuff as powerful as it is in the lore, while all the guns in the SW one are weaker than they should be (played both of them

I find this a bit inaccurate, if the clones knew the Guardsmen would have brought tanks they would have used rocket launchers to destroy the tanks, after detonating their trap. Plus, all clones are issued detonator grenades as seen from the clone wars series.
The clones posses superior military tactics & tech compared to the Imperium's Guardsmen units considering that the Imperium uses ineffective soviet based military tactics, aside from their zealotry dedicated to worshipping an undead corpse.
Republic has vastly superior small arms compared to the Imperium regiments.
I think a lot of people forget that the average fire arm for Starwars is a literal plasma gun that does not explode in your hands.

To be fully fair, while the Star Wars universe has a chance to win a smaller surprise battle against the Imperial Guard, on a planetary scale unless they somehow outnumber the entire Imperial Guard and the Empire can't send in reinforcements, they can't win. On a galactic scale though, it's literally impossible to compare Warhammer 40k to any other sci-fi universe, considering how crazy strong some factions are.

okay, i'm gonna call BS on that one as nice as the map was the situation should have been a forgone conclusion. the Imperial Guards' position was really bad, a very easily defended and blocked line of advance, and they should have been slaughtered. instead, the clones just charge out of thief PERFECTLY GOOD fortress for no reason and get slaughtered. furthermore, there was no artillery on that fortress, not even a basic mortar, and they repeatedly ignored those chimeras that were causing most of the casualties.

This makes sense. The clone army is having trouble with frontal assault wins so they'd change up tactics. Clone wars is full of clones who used a variety of tactics.
By changing tactics do you mean rushing out of a open doorway right into open fire?
The battle wasn't really set up in the clones favor it's 40k favored per usual.

These battles are extremely 40k favored, and it is boring.
Ambushing an armor column with minimal vehicle support and almost no anti of their own. Either the one controlling the clones is an idiot or this is bias as fuck.
Not to mention the battle ends with the majority of the clones rushing in from the front anyway, so the ambush is moot.
@@TheWarmachine375 well that's when they are led by Jedi whom they are programmed to follow, even if it means death. Jedi were not present here, so I believe the Clones would've used the tactics they were trained with, or at least adhered to the "ambush and pick off" tactic, especially because all of them had DC-15As, binoculars, and scopes perfect for sharpshooting. Additionally, those backpacks are typically filled with Thermal Detonators, so I'd like to imagine the Clones would've opened up with a bit more bang, but that's just me :)

Nothing, the closest vehicle in size would be the big wheeled armored apc that appear in the third movie in the fight on the wookies homeworld.
But it lacks of the sheer firepower of the benablade.
I think the Republic don't invest too much on vehicles, also Carlos is Right the big wheeled armour APC at the battle of Kasshyyk, looked like it was mainly to transport troops. The Bandeblade is a super heavy that's so big it can run over a space Marine with its tank treads, with 11 barrel's of hell.

Honestly from a lore perspective, Clone’s would put up a good fight but are limited, Guardsmen have probably more powerful weapons compared to any Republic weapons and the Guardsmen are basically endless, so in the end, the Imperium would probably win if it was an all out war against each other

i would say ground forces the imperium is way more varied than the clones hell the clones had problems facing organic or native populations that where part of the CIS. Clones where designed to fight droids and use their tatics so fightting against an army that is way more varied and overall larger clones would be getting their ass kicked. Stormtroopers would fair much better.
but in terms of weaponry i would say until you get to heavy weapons and vechicals the clone army is pretty comparable to a gaurdsman army.
To be clear a Las gun isn't a blaster, it can pretty much one shot a clone, this is also the same gun that can blow up limbs and concrete walls.
Star wars could just take a tip from 40k and conscript. They probably got more people than 40k considering the amount of peacetime they have had.

As usual, clones get a few vehicles and mostly troops while the guardsmen get a baneblade and leman russ tanks and basilisks and you really had to do the clones dirty by rushing them out like that to get them slaughtered? I love these videos, but honestly it feels one sided against the clones almost every time
Nobody dies more heroically than a clone, but still it feels hard to watch sometimes when the outcome is predetermined for every battle posted
Love the videos and I hope they keep coming, these are just my own thoughts on it, it would be nice to see clones acting like clones and not storm troopers
Finally someone agrees. I’m saying it’s not very balanced in the battles. Now I know not every battle is a even fight but the clones literally just have regular blasters and 2 tanks (which aren’t very effective) there are no mortars or any kind of support weapons for the clones not to mention air support though Das hard to script so I’ll forgive that, air support aside the clones had no turrets or even decent anti tank weaponry like a RPG. Meanwhile the imperium has like 6 IFV and at the end got a super terminator like tank. And the whole while the clones couldn’t even destroy the IFVs so they just camped all the advancing clones with their auto turrets with no means to destroy them by the clones. Not even any light artillery for the clones. Seems very one sided

Plus why did they even run OUT OF THEIR BASE right into the baneblade? Like I don’t mind the clones losing, but at least show their superior training so it’s a satisfying defeat yknow?

Yep, the clones have no anti armour weapons and just human wave the guardsmen rather than using their superior weapons to blat them from range. And then the imperium gets a super heavy tank....
um just a thing VxV Tactics: blaster rifles especially the dc 15a long rifles the clones have have something like an effective range of 10km so if a clone can see a guardsmen they can hit the guardsmen

@@Denterify2 Sort of. The lasgun loses stopping power the further the target is. Longlas helps by just using more of the battery charge to shoot more energy at once.
You'll probably die of the radiation burns and/or cancer the lasgun will give you so you may as well just charge your target and set that sucker to full auto, if the manufacturer made one that can. Dang bolt action lasguns!

Really enjoyed it! Only one recommendation squad composition. Would like to see more specialist units in the battles. Things like missile launchers and z-6 blasters were great, but just disappeared towards the end. Imperial guard plasma guns would also be good. Very thematic!

Wow even when ambushing, the Clones get massacred. I'm a 40k fan but I'm hoping Star Wars wins one at some point.
It comes down to purpose, and also equipment. Mass engagement often favor the guard rather substantially, as they were designed for endless meat grinders, unlike clones. Smaller engagements between five to ten man fire teams favors the clones, at least against most guards. Tanith being one particularly acute exception.
@@macromicro1715 Ok but these are Cadians though, they're shock troopers of the Imperium, the same guardsmens who train when their first born and immediately shoot their guns at age 10 or higher. the problem is the clones fought always droids and not organic army's, that being said their blue bolts are meant to go against droids and pretty emp them and not human contact.

Id like to see how the clones would do with the right weapons for this sort of job, armor, and frankly combat doctrine. Clone mentality matches a mixture of Krieger and Cadian philosophy of war, so it be interesting to see how they'd look when they began adapting to this kind of warfare. First step, automatic weapons, rocket launchers, and paint the armor in camouflage.
I was kind of weirded out by the lack of automatic weapons on the clone ambush. Like their submachine guns and regular rifles. I think that the slow firing snipers guns they were using were too close to be effective.

But this kind of fights are pretty biasly repetitive and when it comes to this kind of videos just by the title its self you can already tell who's gonna win in the end
So it doesn't come to a surprise that videos like this don't get that much views than other Warhammer only faction videos because the winner is already anticipated

Ok I like the action and the videos, if I sound like I’m nitpicking it’s because I’m both a Star Wars and warhammer fan, and I’m sure the warhammer mod allows warhammer units to do more damage.

I'm glad to see the Republic actually had a pretty good advantage at the beginning, but unfortunately for them, the Imperium broke through the ambush.. It would be nice to see the Republic actually win a battle for once, as they seem to be losing this war on all fronts and can't possibly keep up with the losses at this rate.
Yes, well, the problem for the republic is that they have the script against them, or you don't realize that they behave stupidly and warhammer always receives many advantages (let's not forget that star wars does not have air support), apart from stats like that do not quite fit, the show is interesting but the narrative is mediocre, and subjectively they are not good animations at least for me, the guy does not bother to try to make the republic or the confederation look like threats, especially having Take into account that the invaders are those of warhammer, star wars already lost, but only because the story is predictable since it does not have any effort, at least we must admit that most of the time it puts on a good show

@@ApocGuy Well I'm not sure what they are talking about, but here we are talking about the republic, not the galactic empire, here it does not paint the death star, and although it did paint, everyone knows that it is simply a space station with a very questionable efficiency whose only Remarkable feature is the lightning capable of destroying anything, it is a bit stupid to want to compare something so little relevant (and that again does not come at all) but since we are, in terms of fleet the Warhammer empire is only comparable or superior to The republic, both the CIS and the empire are vastly superior in fleet, and because in terms of land the warhammer advantage is not only small but very focused on certain aspects, the space marines are good but not immortal, the same for the Titans, who have the problem of being slow and easy targets for the most part, although it is probably the only reasonable thing on the list, the astra militarum are essentially militias and individual armies. ideals of extreme variability in terms of their capabilities, far below the standardized forces that usually make up the infantry of star wars (remember that the Roman army was very effective for this) and no, cadia is not an excuse, a planet does not sustain a galaxy (if the republic had lost to the CIS) the inquisition is an entity in charge of purging, it has no military relevance, and for mere productivity, because star wars is also much superior in these terms, the same for the technological development capacity ( It is more if I remember correctly in warhammer this or it is almost null or they are in regression), finally if we go crazy the GE already proved that it is capable of using and mixing the capacities of the republic and the CIS, with a production capacity Very high, great resources, could create planets and cloning colonies and deploy all kinds of droids, some models being extremely capable and being able to undergo improvements, but and their standard use force, no I know, I personally see a bit screwed up wanting to put the empire where they did not call it
@@ApocGuy Titans, Knights and Space Marines are a very small part of the Imperium's actual armed forces, and they're much more divided than the parts of the GAR. Not to mention the Imperium's sluggish administration is only barely capable of keeping the status quo. What happens when the Munitorum loses a few million rations in the mail while the army is on campaign? What happens when the politics of replenishing ships and hardware slow down Imperial officers so much that the Republic can outproduce them?
Any 40k speculation that ignores all of the Imperium's exploitable cracks isn't worth taking seriously. If it was really as unbeatable as people in comments sections argue, their enemies wouldn't still be alive after 10,000 years.
Who sets up a roadblock and then throws endless waves of infantry at it to the front? They were defending a position, why did they need to move up?!
I do like seeing combat between these two different factions, but I'd like to see some reasonable tactics in play. With tactics like this, it does not matter how well equipped either side is because it will just be a meat grinder

I enjoyed watching the video seeing this in action. But I am sorely disappointed that you did not give any 'real' heavy armor to the 501st for an ambush using ATTEs or cannons. Which in lore as well as the series they use extensively for these such things. I mean you gave the guard a lot of them as well as a super tank at the very end. While the clones simply had at best could be TX-130s, if what I saw was correct, which classify as a medium tank at best depending on POV. Curious as to what the next one is going to be though. What do you all think?

Gonna just say this, it was an unfair matchup from the beginning. The video creator is biased as peck. The clones had no armour, no heavy weapons and had possibly the worst positions too, despite having the high ground. Given the correct equipment, vehicles and maybe even some artillery, I think it would be have been decisive victory for the 501st. Obviously the Guard was going to win when the 501st only has infantry, two light tanks and scarce few anti-tank weapons with a setup that practically encourages stupid tactics.
A grander scale conflict would also be decisive and unclear as to who would come out on top, but given that Star Wars actually has better, more noticeably advanced and refined technology, with better FTL and strategy, I'd be inclined to say Star Wars has a slight upper hand.

But you forgot that the Imperium of Man have near unlimited amount of resources and manpower, this is one of the things that the video try to imply, that the Imperium of Man is larger than the GAR. Regardless of how many times the GAR can repel them, in terms of attrition, I think it's safe to say that the Guardsmen outnumbers the Clones. If the Guardsmen are not enough, the Imperium can always count on the Astartes. If that's not enough, EXTERMINATUS.

When you need to regroup but commissar stay behind you
40k has all the tactical advantages. Star wars all the logistics. I would imagine this to be like the American Civil war. 40k beating the snot out of star wars. But the moment star wars starts concripting and actually adopting an only war mindset, then 40k has a real problem.
I can imagine VxV Tactics using both First Order or Galactic Empire stormtroopers and/or Rebel Alliance soldiers to be the Republic citizens conscripted into the Grand Army of the Republic during the war against the Imperium Crusade.
I'd like to see endless waves of droids on the main battle lines complemented by clone commandos preparing the battlefield.

@@phil3751 Vast majority of guard would not be able to handle the droid armies.
Droids were meant for handling energy weapons, which is why the clones use emp ionic plasma guns. A lasgun even in large quantities would struggle to eliminate the droids fast enough.
Even then, the droids are in numbers that would make the Imperium Lord Commanders get hot and bothered.
I admire clones, but the clones even with their preparedness were losing against the CIS and Trade federations.
@@YuGiOhAbridgeFAN i think thats a little difficult to judge. Lasguns for example aren't used in spaceships as they damage the epectronic systems in there. But about droid numbers, yeah, they would overwhelm any guard regiment. The only thing saving the republic was palpatine holding the droid army back.

On the other hand even Guardsmen Flak Armor is resistant to standard issue rounds, though Armor Piercing Rounds (confusingly termed "Manstoppers") will punch right through that plate.

That all varies wildly from planet to planet.
Some Guard units are very heavily armored.
Some wear rags.
The only "Standard" thing is a Lasgun and thats just because the Munitorum will screech.

But it’s still a great video as always man, 10/10. 1 problem I have noticed though is it seems blasters have far less range than those lasguns. Towards the end the IG basically shot with impunity at the in cover clones.

The only way for them to win is to basically fight dirty and attack Imperial logistics, the problem with this though is that the Imperials have a literal 10,000 years worth of experince fighting any manner of enemies, but the SW factions can do significant enough damage to hopefully win a battle or at least slow the Imperials down.
(any direct combat any where with the Imperium is practically suicide for them even if they can quickly replace losses with Clones or Droids)
First of all just want to put it out there I love you videos. Good old war porn love it.
But I think it's a stretch to say tactical victory. Considering neither side used tactics they just threw meat and metal at each other. They only won because the Clones didn't use their fortified position or the natural fortifications to make a Kill Zone the whole way up to the base. The only bodies that should have been in that Valley besides, the two lines of defense before the entrance to the base. Should have been guardsman. For whatever reason the clones we're being considerate and meet Imperium outside the front door. leaving their base so the Imperium wouldn't have to clean their bodies out of it before they inhabited it. It would have been pretty dope. Maybe drop some Space Marines in the courtyard on the inside of the base before the attack began. To distract The Defenders so the main force can roll up. Just a thought though. Like I said I enjoy your videos, I know you're controlling both sides. Just throwing two armies together and seeing who wins always makes for a good spectacle.

I have yet to find a battle where clones use their supposedly extremely advanced military training to engage their ennemy with maximal efficiency and minimal casualties.
If you guys were just going to charge in the open against armored units it wasn't worth spending so much republic credits. Cheap droids would have done the job.

I was expecting the remaining vehicles to hold the line until the heavy reinforcement arrive but having a new group of guardmen came and they were enough to turn the tide really made the countdown and the arrival kind of underwhelming.
I was surprised to watch the Basilisks use heavy bolters only. The Earthshaker cannons could have tipped things in favor of the Imperium very quickly... or, that may have been the point.
Patrol groups are never alone, there would be brothers somewhere close by enough in range.

@@shikniwho7215 I mean, not combat-effectively, for sure, but otherwise you're joking. Its engine propels its mass - smaller shit will not be a problem. Worst comes to worst, they can just huck cables onto the shit and haul them out of the way. But that does take time...

One cannot simply just inflict casualty on imperial guards and think victory is assured.
Unless the Clones can do more than just, killing soldiers and tank, it will always end in Imperial victory.
