I’m having an issue with the quantization feature. Despite clicking preserve note duration when I quantize it fundamentally changes the sustain on my midi notes so they sound very different to what I have in mind even though the timing is now correct. How can I fix this?
"Preserve note duration" will move the note off earlier or later depending on the note's original timing relative to the grid. Have you tried disabling it?
Elastic Audio will always compromise the sound quality to some degree. It's using small bits of time compression or expansion which can sound pretty bad if the quantization is moving things around a lot. This is why pro drum editors still use Beat Detective. It's MUCH more complicated but does not use TCE so the sound quality is preserved.
Hey Question. After i quantize my midi notes, theres an R that appears on the top right corner of the region. On the HD rig, theres a T. Anyone know what the R or T means?
T means the clip is affected by the track's MIDI real-time properties. R means the clip has its own unique MIDI real-time properties. Check out this vid for more info: th-cam.com/video/_itTYuesXPA/w-d-xo.html
Great tip for fixing minor drum errors

Eric Kuehnl yes I have. Still having issues with the sustain value
Thanks for this video. Lots of info here, and well explained.
Nice tutorial, thanks!
Thanks for your Help.!! Blessings :)
Very informative. Thanks
I found that, when you quantized audio, the quality dropped. It does not sound smooth or natural. How do I fix that? Any suggestion?
