This could be the best pure music arrangement I have ever heard for “Thunderball”, “From Russia with Love” and “Gold Finger”. The James Bond Theme is yet to be perfect but good enough.

There was only one JB who could write music for JB...The modern themes (since Goldeneye) are lame and uninspiring, forgotten as soon as they are heard. John Barry's music, however, will survive the ages.

Try to get it right. Monty Norman wrote the main theme for Dr. No. Which is the James Bond Theme in the rest of the movies. John Barry was the arranger. Barry wrote most of the rest of the James Bond movie themes.
The James Bond Theme continues to be played in the Bond movies. But whatever happened to The 007 Theme?!? That particular composition was essential in the Bond movies! Whenever it was played, it was heard during chase scenes or battle scenes between Bond and S.P.E.C.T.R.E., such as, the underwater fight scene in Thunderball. I wish it was brought back again, I really do!!
LSO are always Great. I have a Video of the BBC Philharmonic playing this very arrangement in a "Bond & Beyond" Concert. The Trumpet solo in Thunderball was played by the amazing Mike Lovatt who has played on Bond Movie Soundtracks. In the second part of the solo he puts it up one octave. It sounds fantastic but I have not managed to work out how to upload it to TH-cam.

Roger Moore was my James Bond! The classiest, wittiest gentleman in all enterainment, he seems to me. I also liked a lot Pierce Brosnan. NBC would not allow him to take the part a few years prior, whilst he worked in the television series Remington Steele, also starring Stephanie Zimbalist; ironically, the network cancelled the series within a year. Unfortunately, Timothy Dalton had taken the 007 part. Fortunately, Mr. Brosnan received a second opportunity a few years thereafter.

I wish there was a recording of the medley done at the 2011 proms with the quality of the London Symphony Orchestra. I prefer that medley to this, but the quality is sub-par. Does anyone know of a better recording?

Pierce was perfect for the part, but he arrived too late. To follow Connery and Moore with Dalton messed up the flow worse than George Lazenby did, and sadly Brosnan's films were not the best. For the record, I can't see Daniel Craig as Bond at all, but he would be perfect for the empty-headed Aryan killing machine that spectre trained in "From Russia With Love". ▄︻̷̿┻̿═━一
Despite what has to James Bond he still could have been saved, all they have to do is send a helicopter towards the site and pick James Bond up from that appalling site and old Jimmy would have been saved if somebody had the audacity to send a helicopter much sooner at least 2 hours .

Tom Jones passed out in the studio when he recorded the theme. He ran out of air while sustaining "Thunderball!" at the very end.
