This video will show how to remove and replace the tail light housing on a Chevrolet Colorado between the years 2012-2018. This will help if you need to replace a bulb int the back of the car or the entire housing

Helped immensely. There was a hesitation getting it to come out. Your video was extremely helpful.

Thank you so much! Just got my truck serviced and was happy to get my taillights replaced. Got home and noticed my reverse lights out-SO UPSET! Went to Autozone and got those bulbs for $15. Had I watched this video prior I would have saved $180! Lesson learned. Again, thank you so much!

Nice vid; found out what I wanted to know (how the housing comes out). A bit of an elephant gun for the screws though; and hand driver should be sufficient-- especially for reassembly.. My 2018 takes a T-10 bit. Thanks for the video! Mine had a tough time coming out ( a LOT of force required), but at least, after watching your video I knew which way it came out.

For anyone else that finds out it's not a Phillips, try #15 if it's a Star bit - perfect fit on the GMCs!

Any secrets to unhooking the actual wiring harness clip?

Note: Newer models have the Torx heads instead of Phillips screw heads instead.

crlaw75 Yes you are correct. We have a 2015 Colorado & it has the Torx head screws. On a side note the local Chevy dealer priced a replacement housing that I need at $212.00, so needless to say we’ll be looking elsewhere. Good Day to You!
