- NCP leader and former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique was shot dead on 12th October. The incident took place near his son and MLA Zeeshan Siddique's office in Bandra East. Baba Siddique's assassination has triggered a political storm with the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi targeting the ruling Mahayuti over the 'deteriorating' law and order in Mumbai.
