See, I couldn't get into Chuck's vision here. Obvious technical skills and creativity throughout, but it felt a bit too choppy and random for me, and I could not find or hold the groove.
Very clever and skilled, but not for me. Different strokes, I reckon.

I loved that one as well Music doesn't really need a certain groove or a certain style, however, I can see how you'd not like it since it sounds randomized, but there is a beat to it. Very unique though. I love a lot of musical styles and genres.

There's always something to like in each track. This series is awesome.
Okay, so the Dresage cut is pretty much a full on hit single, that voice is amazing! The MUST DIE! Track is pretty intense too, took me back to Virtual Riot’s cut in a way. I don’t think anyone’s topped VR in my opinion though, that track he produced in the episode he was in is so perfect I just sit there and listen to it like 10 times in a row. I just imagine different things being done with that cut as the backdrop, like some wild performance on America’s Got Talent with BMX bikes or skateboards or something. It’s pretty epic.
Keeley Bumford of Dresage is also the EDM vocalist Nevve. Kinda cool.

One underrated thing about this series is the variety of producers you get... Hip hop, dubstep, funk/glitch, etc. Keeps it fun and interesting. This is one of my favorite episodes so far
I've been a pianist for maybe 18 years at this point, as well as a vocalist and much more inexperienced bassist. I'm really new to the electronic process of production, and I'm loving studying up on my DAW and VSTs to make the most of things. I've watched this entire series through countless times just trying to absorb all the tiny quirks and info these producers express without even meaning to. I really hope this series goes on for a very long time.

Dresage was my fav. Andrews made me wants to dance the most. Must dies made me want to get into a fight. And chucks made we want to study music then i remembered these guys would be my competition so I gave up.
Humble beginnings my friend. Remember, when they were starting out, they also had their own "mountains" to climb. Nothing is impossible no matter how hard the competition may be. Keep going with the music!

When you really have fun with the little things and don't look at the big picture, it makes you learn so much so fast! An adversarial view will always suppress your joy and the learning process. I can tell you that in the last year and a half, I've learned more in certain days than I did in entire months when I stopped comparing myself, worrying about how much there was I didn't know and just had fun with learning something new.
Chuck Sutton love that glitchy choppy/chiptune style. Dressage love that piano style. Must Die lovin' your style of Melodic Dubstep. And Andrew Huang I loved those little bits and pieces you added in to your own song, sounded quite fun.

For everyone, who wants to learn how to create music - that's a framework:
1. Watch every "4 producers 1 sample" video
2.
Write in a notebook all the techniques and methods that producers use in the video
3.
Try to copy all the techniques
4.
If any of the techniques is not clear how to use - find materials online. (Or just bang your head on your DAW until it works out)
5. Try to create a short tracks using 2-3 technics each
6. ???
7. PROFIT!
6. learn how your DAW works. realized it's very complicated, give up immediately

I think that even if a person does not know any DAW, he will learn it by trying to repeat the techniques. Maybe even better than starting with manuals. Certainly better that starting without purpose)
MUSIC GNOMES!
You have to be comfortable with your tools and your work Bench. You can create anything and do anything if you’re familiar with what you work with. It’ll be very difficult to make a “hit” or blow up if you have NO idea how your daw works. What ever you use, just learn how to navigate, and you’ll be able to emulate what you’d like a lot better. Like not knowing how to hold a pencil or paint brush and trying to paint Mona Lisa. Crawl before you run. Sometimes you can skip walking.

I really appreciate how many of these vids in this series makes me appreciate genres that I might not normally be that much for - f.ex. the MUST DIE!-cut where I've normally found modern dubstep having this slightly obnoxious, over-the-top quality to it (Brostep, whatnot); but this really brought in that intense, epic, somewhat emotional/melancholic quality to that style of music that is really appealing in it. Brilliant.
I think of all the videos on this platform, I go back and rewatch this series the most.
Chuck's track is like when your scanning through an old school radio dial, and every time you switch stations, you're still somehow on the original beat. So you start scanning back, and it keeps happening.
That one was nothing but noise to me. No relation to music as we know it.

I personally find his style ridiculously good, and a lot of people agree with me, yet simultaneously a lot of people don't see what we see in it. Just know music is variety, and people's tastes are different, more than you think probably.

Her vocals were mixed and mastered beautifully. Doesn’t really matter the mic these days. The mixing and mastering is where it’s at.
