While not Canon I absolutely love the idea that Cooler knows instant transmission. It makes me believe that he is something of a master tactician and knows many techniques throughout the cosmos, really wish that he was genuinely canon.

So I wasn't surprised when he learned IT, because Cooler is extremely humble. Frieza would never learn techniques from other people due to his arrogance and pride. Cooler is so humble that I can totally see him learning IT from the yardrats and not killing them, unlike Frieza who absolutely would. Cooler is more similar to Goku than his own brother when it comes to combat, I could totally see Cooler learning UI and being trained
I love the scene where Cooler and Goku are in the same different dimension where Cooler is just trying attack Goku. It's like being able to enter Hit's time-skip technique.

It’s infinite speed because instant transmission is point A to B travel in an instant and there’s no confirmation of it being linked to a pocket dimension or different space entirely but just Goku existentially popping from 1 location to wherever he wants to go and since Cooler can grab Goku mid instant transmission, that means that he has to be infinitely faster in order to do so, that’s why people say that feat is infinite speed.
I’m sure it still is that way in this kind of scenario where the character is using it as a combat move due to already knowing the location of their opponent instead of being concentrated on finding a location like a different continent or a distant planet.
While this fight isn't Canon I really like how they gave us an idea of what's it like when instant transmission is being used more of a doorway and a shortcut to another place than just appearing out of thin air in an area

I never get how in the movies they make Goku use the Kaioken against villains who are really strong but they never had him to use it when going up against foes like Android 19 and 20?
It's mainly to drag out the fight cuz it's a movie. There's absolutely no reason to use Kaioken in Z after he attained Super Saiyan. It's stronger and doesn't have the negative effects that Kaioken does

The 4 (physics) dimensions are length, width, height and time: we are literally moving forward in time right now so we already live and move in the 4 dimensions (it's just that we can't go back in time). The temporal dimension doesn't change depending on speed, if time still exists then you're moving in it. What you're referring to is the concept of a pocket universe (incorrectly called a pocket dimension).
It makes me quite puzzled to think that people say you can't use instant transmission in combat. Not only did Goku use it against Cell to cheap-shot him with a Kamehameha, but Cooler and Goku use it here as well, against each other. Then Goku and Zamasu/Goku Black use it against each other later on.
