So let me get this right- instead of going to a salon for £300 you will bleach your hair at home for £100-£150, mess it up then go to a salon for colour correction which will cost twice as much so overall you spend more like £600+? You go girl! 👏😂
Watching these videos makes me NOT bleach my own hair at home...I get tempted and watch another Hair Buddha video and the urge is GONE! Thanks Hair Buddha ❤
There was one time when I was 15 where I wanted to dye my hair dark purple but I didn't go through with it and I would look crazy looking with bleached hair and dying a different color brown hair suits me more and it looks good with my skin complexion
I used to have enough hair for 5 people. Watching things like this is astonishing to me. Even then I would never have taken chances like this. N o w...I realize when we're young we think the great hair and skin will last forever.
I stumbled across your channel by accident. At first, it was for sheer entertainment. Now though- it's just sheer inspiration to NEVER EVER touch my hair at home. You're absolutely precious darlin! I've come to thoroughly enjoy your content. Much love from Texas!
I played with color in my misguided youth. I had FUN, but I also had some EPIC FAILS. So now I’m okay with whatever nature provides, and I leave it to the professionals to cut and style it. I think messing with (and messing up) your hair may be a rite of passage of some sort, perhaps.
When she said sections, I never imagined giant pony tails. And I don't understand how she never saw a video of yours 🙈 Here I am laughing with a tooth infection, thank you Hair Budha for this Friday surprise!💝
I was holding out hope for this Young lady, but I had no choice but too face reality when she began bleaching her ponytails😬, Bless her heart, she tried
I genuinely love that people are so confident about their skills soo they video it. If anything it is educational on what not to do😅 every time i want to colour my hair I watch these and realize it isn’t worth risking my hair.
I've watched so many videos that now I just want someone to let me do theirs, haha. I'd do all the ten volume tiny sections, setting timers and time inbetween bleaches.
@@Iflie tbh my mom is happy I watch these since I had to do her hair during lockdown. I was mostly just toning or colouring roots so no bleach, but if she or my sister ( or any of my friends) want to ever go lighter I am ready for it.
@Iflie i feel the same ! I feel like i could now do someone elses hair but doing my own would be way too hard. I also dont really want to dye my hair, i feel like you're more likely to start getting bored with your hair once you start dying it.
@@qpqp2339 I feel like every brown haired girl ends up dyeing their hair and many get stuck bleaching it and eventually they get very damaged and need a haircut. My hair is hard enough to deal with on it's own, dark curls with the tendency to knot like velcro. Dyeing it would be far too drying and it wouldn't suit me at all. But playing with someone elses hair would be a lot of fun and I think I have the attention to detail you'd need for an at home job. I think I'd avoid doing roots though, that seems to lead to trouble, at least when it's bleach related. I think a shadow root looks really good and that way you always have some undamaged hair and a healthy scalp.
Hello! I'm so glad you're back, Hair Buddha. A nice cup of coffee and hanging out with Hair Buddha for 16 minutes and 58 seconds? Yes please. Have a great weekend, Hair Buddha and friends. 🌞❤🌈
Just went to the best hairdresser ever. Had my hair bleached and she put a nice balayage on top. My hair looks beautiful and it‘s worth every penny. So hail to the hairdressers.
Hair Buddha, I could watch your videos all day. You are thoughtful, kind, knowledgeable, sympathetic, entertaining and humorous. Thank you for your videos, they have taught me a lot.❤️
I couldn't take her seriously, not with her stated she had experience but hanging around with 2 big and very patchy strands of hair in the front. 🤦🏾♀️
I just bleach and dye my hair two days ago and all I could hear while I was doing it was......take fine sections and for that I thank you because the result was good
Go to a salon if you don't know what you are doing. I did a crap load of research before I started doing my own hair, because I didn't want to end up with horrible damaged hair. My natural hair color is Level 4. However, I lighten it, and it is currently blue. I love Difiaba charcoal lightener.. I use it with 25 volume (use half 30, half 20), and it lightens my hair from a level 4 down to a level 1 in 45 minutes! My roots go from 4 to 1 in 15 to 20 minutes.
Appreciate how much work goes into a good dye job. My hairdresser recently put platinum highlights into my grey/ salt and pepper hair. Result was great.
I love these videos. The lack of knowledge and/or respect people have for their hair to get views...And here I am, watching them too! I'm just as bad! But I have learned a lot from Hair Buddha, like don't do it you don't know what you're doing!
Your commentary makes a video all the more better to watch because it is hilarious 😂 even though you want to cringe your comments have my cheeks hurting with the obvious statements and sarcasm ❤😂
In the UK they stopped "regular" people from shopping at Sally's for a few years and you had to prove you were a professional to purchase anything. Maybe they should introduce this in the US?? I would love to see security cameras from the staff pissing themselves when fail after fail constantly walks in through the door. 😂
Your enactment of the bleach searching out the hair in between the huge sections made me laugh for the first time in days 😂, it caused a coughing fit (i have covid) but it was worth it 😂 As a trained stylist im basically screaming in my head watching these videos in sheer frustration, but your commentary makes it worthwhile 😊❤
This is exactly why I go to my hairdresser each month (for literally 20+ years) to get my roots done (I'm 100% bleached and toned). Never would I try this at home!😂 I love your education!❤
You are spot on, I use box dye but use the same colour every time. I also only do the roots, as the rest looks great. It light brown and I’m naturally dark brown. If I ever change colour, I’ll need a colour correction at a salon.
As a bleach at home pro like myself, these are literally horror videos for me. They make me cringe, and scream! I ☠️ inside every time 😱 Never think that your bowl of mixed bleach would work after an hour and a half 😅😅😅😅 I’ve never seen that one before! These individuals scare me with bleach 😅
BTW, peroxide is acidic. It's all the ammonia in the bleach that fries the hair. I use 40 volume and an on-the-scalp bleach (low ammonia ) for one hour, and my hair turns out great! But I adore you and enjoy your channel! ♥️MM
I have watched a ton of these videos and have only seen one person use hair color remover before they start bleaching. I had a box color fail once, and I immediately went back to the store to get remover. My hair was a nice lemon yellow afterwards. My question is why aren’t these people using remover first especially when a lot of them seem to like black dye? Won’t the remover take out the previous colorings and leave them with, as you say, blonde underneath which to me is a good starting point for going pastel?
I've been watching your video reactions for looong time and i'm encouraging now to DIY some pintura highlights on my natural darkbrown almost black curly hair lol I'm not sure yet but i have a question, if i want to just have two shades lighter and then apply a semi permanent light brown box dye would be good to tone the highlights or should I use a toner after bleaching? Thank you in advance 🙈
Im a trained hair stylist and change my hair colour frequently, however I am aware of the colour wheel, the paramaters i must work in, use salon dyes and bonders, but i will admit, as a teenager many, many (too many) years ago i made these silly mistakes but i learned a lot from it. These people are grown-ass adults and dont learn from it 😂
Idk I will say, a few times I’ve put grey toner over light pink and it’s covered it, obviously it’s never 100% even but maybe that’s what happened at the end. Esp because she left the toner on so long, it probably ended up being a lot darker than it’s intended to be, plus the developer she used probs had an impact as well.
I was gonna bleach my ends once and thought of using rubber bands as guides (cause I only wanted my ends done) but then this video popped into my head and I instantly forgot that idea lol still did my ends (Thankfully no hair fell out!)
My dear Hair Buddha , is it safe to use Colour Shampoo / Balsam ,that lasts up to 6-8 washes ? It's been two years and a half I successfully managed to grow my whole hair into my natural but I wanted a change but not permanent something that will not destroy the hair first and second won't affect my finally naturally virgin hair colour !
So let me get this right- instead of going to a salon for £300 you will bleach your hair at home for £100-£150, mess it up then go to a salon for colour correction which will cost twice as much so overall you spend more like £600+? You go girl! 👏😂

You're not the only one.
It's not the initial bleaching that worries me (i'm probably a level 6.5), it is upkeep. I see all sorts of hair disasters on the bus daily.
Totally agree also if I get the urge to cut my hair watch these and I loose the urge 😂😂

All of a sudden that $300 is cheap...😂😮🤯💥
And of those ppl she bleached their hair, how many are STILL her friends?😅
Her Dad doesn't really understand what bleaching is? The apple doesn't fall far from the tree!
At least the dad admits that he doesn't know. Not knowing something is fine, pretending to know when you don't is not fine. It's funny
