Our ever faithful Hair Buddha is back to give us our Monday morning Seratonin. Thank you always for your education, wisdom, and entertainment. I just wanted to say thank you for all of your kind words over the last month. But my mother succumbed to her brain injury from her stroke she had last month, and we laid her to rest on Saturday. I went from red to pink with my stylist. First thing he said, he didn't guarantee that we could get all the red off on one day. It took 5 hours, several bleaching stages and thankfully it all came out, but I was warned. And it was done by a professional who took care of my hair and it didn't end up looking like it was dead. Please go to a professional for the bleaching at least.

I LOVE my warm blonde. Its like blonde with an orange tint. It's warm, comforting and easier to maintain than cold or platinum blonde

I almost spat out my coffee when you whispered "ugly", it was so unexpected lol. The result was not good but at least she still has hair, because the time I tried to get red out of my hair to be blonde again, I got a chemical haircut 💀. I was a teenager and it was 2012, so there wasn't as much information as today.
She’s a pretty girl and styled with makeup and such. That was the only save in the end imo.

I feel the biggest pets of being a good hairdresser is research, and patience. The majority of these fails are people who have patience for what they want.
If I were her with her skin colouring, I’d have had my hair professionally dyed Anne of Green Gables red.
How about just her normal color because obviously she can't afford to go to the salon for maintenance and lacks the skills to do it herself. And that's ok! Know your limitations and stay within those lines or get help.
I'm telling you, everyone who does the home dye needs to watch you....at least a few videos....it should be a prerequisite!!!! Love ya Hair Buddah ❣️
Haha I love red to blonde videos! I am naturally blonde and fine it so boring. Being a woman with years stacked up my blonde hair is dull I recently dyed it red. I love that red is a keeper, it doesn’t dull that much (used a temporary red and it’s going strong after 2 months of weekly washing) red is awesome!!!!

The irony of her skin tone being really suitable for red hair, particularly copper and proper strawberry blonde. If she did a good job with the red instead of it being flat and dull she would have been happy.
I also have a lot of reds in my hair and want to go back to blonde (natural hair is dark blonde), but I don't dare because I'm afraid it might end up looking just like hers. Have a great Monday and a good start to the week. :)
I had that I mixed lemon juice with Shampoo left it on my head under a shower for about 30 minutes you can leave it longer, the acid in the lemon lightens and removes the red without bleaching natural color, if it's a dark red that might require a second round but it's worth it all my red is gone, you can also use dish soap instead of shampoo I did that too the red I had was dark
Please do a video just on re-pigmenting hair. I have natural and bleach white hair but want to go a light shade of gray. TY🥰
My hair is not dark , however I will sit at my hairdresser for a very long time while she tries to lift my hair with 10 Volume. And I appreciate that effort
I had intensely red hair and wanted to go blonde. It took eight hours, a platinum card, and hundreds of dollars... but we got there. Idk how these girls think they can do this at home with no experience.

I actually love that they experiment on their hair at home . They helped teach me how to bleach my hair by myself. (I just bleached my whole head and went pink 😊) Also thanks to Hair Buddha !!

Seems some even enjoy bad results because they’ll get more views. I’d be so embarrassed I’d want to hide under the covers.😂. It’s fun for us to watch but I can’t really understand why they do it.

I used color remover to remove a black dye and it worked perfectly. Well, my hair was orange after that, but not stressed at all and I could put on some light brown dye for a very nice final result. I don’t want to demonize color remover, in some case it works really fine!
People don't realize that even black box dye lifts your natural color a bit. There's no way to go back to your natural color because it isn't there anymore. If your hair turns out orange, you can use blue shampoo to make it more brown.

I have lupus and my dr literally told me to stop dying my hair because the chemicals will be absorbed through my scalp. So now I'm growing my natural dark ash brown out. I got bored with that so i bleached the ends and dyed them dark green lol.
At least i stayed away from the scalp haha

I had black dyed hair and wanted level 6/7. I stopped on the ginger but went to burgundy red and love it (black more but I am young turning grey/white so decided to go blonde to not look like with bold spots). Turning golden blonde took me 8 months using box dye on level 7 and 8 (I could because after red rinsed and I had ginger, I used color remover without bleach and gliss kur bleach which I think is blonde me bleach in box dye. I was shocked because it worked amazing and was more gentle than brown hair dye from garnier). I was thinking that now my hair are completely damaged but after moisturizing they started to curl and become soft when curly 😊

This video hurt my head and hair knowledge 😢 Ironically the only thing that will tone that green is red, back to where she started 😂😢 I really wish she would get her hair trimmed as well, it's so dry 😢 I used to have my hair crazy colours and I had to stop because my scalp couldn't take even 20 volume bleach. I'm way happier now using more natural colours and my hair is in far better condition now and so much easier to maintain 😍😍
Well this takes me back! LOL. Reminds me of the time when my boys were little and had tummy upsets. I'd take off their nappy , the contents of which would be bile yellow/ green poop.... not unlike her hair colour.

Buddha I love your videos and have learned so much! In one of your upcoming videos could you briefly explain what “volumes” mean in developers?
I loved Arctic Fox but i was sick of the color fading after barely two weeks (one week and a half basically). The color kept on bleeding everywhere. On my pillows and even would stain the wall if i put my head against it lol my mom wanted to kill me. Also Arctic Fox is quite expensive yet so difficult to maintain (yes i washed my hair with cold water yet it was bleeding like crazy). Since then been using henna on my hair and box dye (yeah i know bad but i use it literally like once a year). It permanently stained my hair the color i wanted. Never going back to semi permanent hair dyes. Also i want to mention that i used to bleach my hair so i thought that the dye washes off so quicky due to the fact that my hair is bleached. Haven't bleached my hair in almost 3 years. Arctic Fox would also fade really fast with my virgin color.
I think people are just addicted to using toner. almost as much as to changing their hair color no matter what lol

I don't know about Color oops, but from time to time I use Subrina Eliminator color remover and it never changed my natural color. She can have yellow roots because of previous permanent dye lifted her natural hair and after removing pigment it shows lifted roots 🤷♀️

If your goal was to have baby-poop-yellow hair, mission accomplished.
Edit to add: Color Oops does not have ammonia or bleach. It cannot lift natural color.

How do you repigment your hair? Serious question. I had level 9 blond that I dyed pastel purple. Recently did a bleach bath so my hair is very very light. I want to go a copper orange but i know itll fade very fast if i dont repigment first, so how do i go about doing so?

In many videos I have seen in the USA the colour remover kits have a lightner in them. I was very confused when the roots lighten during colour remover and apparently the colour remover kits state don’t apply to roots. Now I have used these kits here in UK and ours don’t contain lightener.
Why do USA kits that remove colour contain lightening chemicals? I am confused by this colour removing decision in USA?
First and last time I used color oops. My hair stunk for weeks and I went swimming in chlorine 1 day and it killed the smell lol.
I miss my old hair dresser. We had fun. One time, we coloured my hair the colour of a bright purple bus that went by. Another time she was like “what if we dyed your whole head like this bright red make-up brush” and I was like “let’s gooo!” But then I moved to a different country and now I can’t find a good replacement 😢

color oops, you heard right. I watched a video that was in depth on the product, The first thing they did was describe the smell. which they said was like rotten eggs. long story short they suggest to buy 2 just incase because you'll need it if you have super long hair, and if theres not enough product left to wash the pigmet that stayed out. in conclusion they said while the 30 minute wash was annoying, a person has to have a strong stomach if they want to use this product.
