How do you like Scriabin?
Played by Daniil Trifonov, in every way
Deutsche Grammophon love it!
YES!!!!
I adore Scriabin. A complete Etudes set by Trifonov coming up?
let's see....the next album has not been officially announced yet...but it is coming!
Why does Trifonov look different every time I see him
Ikr right lmao
@@liebesleid He's a hip young guy besides being a top-tier concert pianist. He plays this beautifully!
The name Daniil Trifonov is like John Brown in certain parts of the world.
This guy surprises me every time
He like cheanges ! But His music is allways beautyfull, and it is A good news 👏👏👏
So ahead of his time- a quarantine beard but in 2019
Noah Alden Hardaway, piano , you can hear him hear on TH-cam play the piece wearing a mask.
it’s so refreshing to see classical music performed by someone in casual clothes
He does remind me a bit of Dockworkers - but i bloody love it
I think it's more elegant and overall better to play in some great clothes like always. But yeah, this is refreshing !
@@SeigneurReefShark I think the performer should choose what they fucking want
@@bakuto.1055 ok Netflix Dovla
@@StephenChoma and ?
Trifonov is doubtless one of the best pianists of today
Unquestioning!
By far
I think it's refreshing to hear Scriabin not played as if the pianist was off to a fire. Yes, this is a fast and hard piece, but he manages to let us hear more to all of the notes. Wonderful! Thanks and best
Too many of the notes. It's as if he doesn't feel the melody is important enough. It's good playing, sure, but not convincing to me
1:58 I always think he stands up from sheer emotion in this part

I like his style. Can he do parkour?
And Keep playing at the same time.
yes with his hands
Scriabin is the parkour
He understands Scriabin and knows how to perform this music.
Finally an intepretation that is not played too quickly! And the clean sound in the 2nd part of the beginning is marvellous.
I think it is too fast. Only the beginning is an exception. In general, Scriabin is played too fast too often, thereby bluring a lot of his compositions's intrinsic polyphony.
This is how I always imagined this piece. The left-hand semi-q's are more a brooding atmosphere underpinning the haunting melody than filigree virtuosity for its own sake. Enjoyed this immensely.
You're absolutely everywhere that's frightening
It's a lot like the chopin f-sharp min prelude in that way imo!
@@AndrewKierszenbaum shame I’m the first like. This piece is clearly an homage to said prelude
you might like nikolayeavas recording then, this one is great though as well :D
This interpretation by Trifonov, literally gives me chills , the virtuoso velocity in the melodic contours is nothing less than simply a genius pinnacle of art.
Trifonov my favourite pianist since 2010 🙏🏻 He has something special, the depth only a musically obsessed can feel.
I can't stop listening to this. And TH-cam keeps recommending this in my homepage and I always click on this.
He brings something new and thoughtful to everything he plays. Bravo, Daniil!
This is great...perhaps his next recording can be an all-Scriabin album? Would anyone else love to hear him do Sonata #5?
Back in 2008 he played it at a competition. The vid is on youtube
I heard it 1 month ago in korea
I'd love to hear it. Also sonatas #5, #6, #9 and the Piano Concerto
I've never seen and heard a musician who can so totally give himself over to the music - Daniil for the duration IS the Etude.
Then you haven't heard many musicians. There are so many fantastic musicians.
@@djmotise There are many fantastic musicians - and Daniil is one of the most fantastic. Besides I am a musician.
Fiorentino is the best version I've ever heard.
These interpretations literally breathe life into my soul
One of my favorite pieces by Scriabin so I've heard many play it. This is the first in awhile that has brought me to a full stop. Wow.
My favorite Scriabin Etude....so, so passionate!!!
Finally a young pianist that doesn't make unnecessary movements and exaggerated facial expressions. Also, I like how he's dressed 🙌
You should watch his other performances, cause he does a lot of that
Trifonov is an incredible pianist.
One can but bow in awe to such a performance.
Amazing performance.
I love this piece. Fantastic interpretation Daniil!
I love the intensity he puts into this piece, a bit fast buts he's right on with the passion
Bravo! Finally he played not staid but passionate 👏👏👏👏⚘
I was yearning to hear an applause after that
SO MUCH POWER, PASSION AND FIRE!!! BRAVO!!!
Astonishing.

This is just so sublime... can’t stop listening to it
just wonderful!
This piece is epic
This is definitely an impressive interpretation! Trifonov certainly gave us a very delicate touch to the melody line. What's more is that the whole picture, the light and shadow, accompanied with the concrete wall background and his choice of costume, further strengthen the solitude in the music.
This recording of this piece made me shed tears for the first time because of music, has changed my musical sensibilities completely and has given me an existential fear as if I've wasted my life on other music. This isn't the best piece of music there is, but I dare say it's at least pretty good, and it ranks very high on my list.
Cheers! :)
Yeah yeah whatever...
We've ALL wasted our lives.
I cried for the first time because of the music too!
Excellent!
Do you think the left hand is more difficult than the right hand in this piece?
Absolutely gorgeous, I'd love to see a Trifonov Skriabin recording next.
It has been a while since I found a video that deeply impressed me...
Superb performance. I would love to hear Daniel play the entire opus 8 and opus 42 sets.
Daniil has literally played every note of every song but not necessarily in the order that you're hoping for.

Simply monumental.
totally the best interpretation ever of the 2 measures starting at 1:52. It's not what Scriabin wrote, since the section should be linked to the next one in diminuendo, but who cares if the effect he delivers is so powerful, and of great inspiration!
so much anger and passion in this piece !
👏 finally he is no longer staid and restrained!!
I like his starting almost PENSIVELY and then building up to an apex of passion. His very sparing use of the pedal is excellent, one can hear every note!
Shed tears. I would love to learn and play it myself!
So amazing, emotional and inspiring !
Tears😭
Incredible non-percussive tone.
Wonderful piece and awesome performance!!!
Just sublime.
Real passion

🔥🔥🔥🔥Burn, baby burn!!!🔥🔥🔥
One of a kind genuine article

Heading off to the warehouse shift right after the concert...
He is not just playing the piano. He is music.
I never thought that breathing could add interpretation to a composition.

@@sodiumcalciumpotassi really good but audio isn't smooth. Still I think the best varation is Trifonov's one.

Amazing. Comes quite close to the recording of Vladimir Horowitz.

yoooooo!
» -Rachmaninoff
0:53 a Triffic idea!
I like it
Loving the beard!
Idk what it is with that piano but every time he hits that c# it makes a ting sound
Great interpretation. A bit faster than I’m used to, but I love how he brought out the melody in the central section. Was really shocked by the length of his nails though, but then noticed he seem to play with the bottom/pads of his fingers which is a bit unusual. Interesting how many of the great pianists have unusual styles of playing that might be considered “wrong” by the traditional school of thought, but it works for them.
I’m pretty sure it’s typical of russian pianism to play with the fingerpads for romantic era music
look at his amazing long and flexible fingers
wowowow!
