Thanks for that informative review, Nigel. I wish there were more kit-specific aftermarket resin and PE reviews done - it’s so helpful since as any AM junkie knows, you can easily spend more on the accessories than the model itself. I ordered the model after hearing about the possible shutdown of Infinity, and was all set to order the entire set of extras, but I think I’ll hold off and wait to see some builds first after watching this. So thank you, and get started soon!
I've never looked at a midway era Japanese build before.. but with the wing fold, it does look tempting! 1/24 spitfire to finish... 1/48 seaking when Its available... New to the hobby and it's already never ending! Hope Jess is doing well.
Dear Nigel, I truly love your channel and how you do it. I fully support how you strive to be as authentic to the realism. I discovered you during the COVID-19 lockdown era. I’m writing to ask about your Titanic. I missed the finishing of the model and have been unable to find it. The TH-cam interface is horrible at finding your older videos. Would it be possible to get links to that series? Would love to see the finishing videos! The last I saw was the painstaking work you were doing on corrections to the hull. Please let me see those final set of your videos finishing that model. Thank you and GOD bless!❤
Just to note I’ve ordered this kit (and some of the aftermarket - not all!) from Hannants on the strength of your excellent reviews - so they owe you a favour😀
The stencil is a cut out piece of material that can be used as a mask to give the desired outcome, like the 1man army stuff. The resultant lettering or symbol is also called a stencil Paul. So, you place the stencil where you want the stencil to be. then, you paint over the stencil to produce the stencil. Then you remove the stencil to reveal your stencil.
I suppose leaving out all the extra detail keeps the difficulty level and the cost down which would be better for beginner modellers. More advanced modellers with deeper pockets can then shell out for the extras if they choose.
Don’t know if they do but Infinity Models should offer an Aichi kit with all their resin and PE sets for one price - would make it easy for those modellers who want everything and don’t want to be hunting the bits down individually. 😊
Hi Nigel, Wow, you have some cool extras for the Aichi. The finished model is really going to be fragile. Thanks for sharing. Have a great day. Jeff

Hello from across the pond! Great video. Informative as usual. For me. Price to high plus the extras. Would love to see it built though.

I haven't touched that model for years sorry.

And you'll have me to blame if you don't like it!!
I have a 1/48 Val... Fujimi maybe?
It looks really good in the box but I haven't gotten to it yet.
Stupid question? What is the difference between a stencil and a decal?
In this case the stencil is a decal.
@@NigelsModellingBench so when is a stencil not a decal? 🙄
when it is a stencil mask.
@@NigelsModellingBench ah, like the One Man Army stuff.

Eduard like this business model.

They do.
@@NigelsModellingBench awesome. I’ll look on their site, I didn’t see anything like that on Hannants.
Sorry, I misunderstood your question. They do a full kit of all the accessories, not a set complete with the kit.
@@NigelsModellingBench no worries Nigel. All good. Would be nice if Infinity would do that, though.
The full set of extras is actually a pretty good bargain from what I’ve seen. You almost get the wing fold set for free vs purchasing them a la carte.
Hi nige have you still got the 1/32 scale F18 kit, would you sell it Trevor
No.
....классс!-таак многоооо.....
....возможно собрать достойную копию......
