Did you not see what happened? 47 million people saw, first hand, on live TV Joe Biden is old, feeble, weak. He does not have the stamina, energy, and able to speak coherently and assertively. It was tragic. He needs to step aside and save his legacy. He has served the country well. Time to go.

Kasich was one of the few reasonable Republicans to put everything on the line to denounce Trump. I think the actions of Liz Cheney, Mitt Romney, John Kasich, and Adam Kinzinger make them all admirable leaders. A debate proves absolutely nothing about a POTUS's ability to govern the nation on a day-to-day basis, to lead the nation through a crisis, or to represent the country during international discussions/negotiations. A debate proves nothing about the quality of a POTUS's hugely important supporting cast of advisors, etc. All we learned last night is that Biden's ability to debate against an opponent who just regurgitated 4 year-old lies is rather limited. As a Democrat and supporter of Biden his debate performance brings up 2 questions. Will last night and subsequent appearances on the campaign trail make voters apathetic towards him potentially enabling the criminal psychopath to regain power? Also is Biden's mental faculties declining to a point that his performance on the job will suffer if it isn't already? I had the feeling Biden needs to retire at this point and spend his time with his family. This race should not be close with Trump as the opposing candidate but it is. If Harris, Newsom, or someone else with a strong presence steps in with Joe's blessing they will most likely crush Trump. It can't just be about Trump not regaining power...the nominee has to articulate a vision for the future while crediting Biden's accomplishments and defining what an unfathomable danger Trump is to this country in the starkest terms.

Biden must honorably resign on health grounds NOW after that debate debacle and open the field to Newsome, Whitehouse, Raskin, Buttigieg -and the list goes on. They would have sliced and diced Trump. Biden was not up it and never will be. What did his handlers do to him at Camp David? It was as if he was not there. 47 million people saw what Joe Biden is, old, feeble, weak, and incoherent. It's not about what he has done. It's about what he can do. He is done. Period. There is no coming back from this. Seeing is what everyone will remember. You can't un-see. Nobody is talking about the substance because no one could understand them.
What are those actions? Sky high inflation? Astronomical prices on groceries? Wars all over the place? Serious question, what has he done that actually helps Americans?
For all those with their 'knickers in a knot'. Here's a very *realistic* assessment from last night's debate.... In terms of *style points* & dealing with the MAGA narrative re 'sleepy Joe', Biden really dropped the ball. This is unfortunate, in part because a debate tells the viewer nothing about any POTUS candidate's ability to govern the nation, either on a day-to-day basis or in times of national crisis, Nevertheless, the 'optics' were bad for Biden. HOWEVER...in terms of *substance* , Biden made all the points he could make, especially given that CNN refused to fact-check Trump & had the 'muted mic' policy.
Did Biden "lose"? *Absolutely not.* Trump did *nothing* to gain ground, offer new ideas, or show that he has changed his beliefs in a way that would pull voters out of Biden's pocket & into Trump's pocket. Trump proved nothing about his own abilities, because he had it easy...he just kept repeating the same dozen big lies that he has been regurgitating for 4 years...or - when he actually had to think - Trump avoided the question altogether...not exactly a challenge to Trump's fundamental lack of intelligence & dementia-limited cognition. Trump 'won' *nothing* .
Ultimately, Biden did not "lose", but he certainly failed to win over the silent but incredibly significant group of 'fence sitters', 'dual haters', 'Niki Haley voters' & other potential swing voters. It was a blown opportunity to gain voters, but certainly did not lose voters either .
