I had people hyping up Biden before the debate in these same comment sections. I think some of these clueless gullible people genuinely went into this thinking Biden was more fit to be president than he clearly was.

In most states, either Dean Phillips or Marianne Williamson (and in most cases both) were also on the ballot. Democrat voters simply did not vote for them, but instead just blindly went with the incumbent.

I don’t know. How do you hurt a man who lost his first Wife and daughter in an accident, two badly injured son that he raise until he met his second wife . Then after that went back to serve , as Senator . Lost his Son to cancer years after and now serve as President , now dealing with his only son that because of his drug problem for some of what he as being through. How many of those who are going crazy over his performance at the debate would be able to stand after all that he has being through. It’s hard to break people who have been through so much. Actually, the biggest issue dems have right now isn't whether or not Biden is fit to continue as president, it's that Harris does not come across as presidential at all. You have to consider who would take over as president should something happen to either candidate, and Harris does not come across as fitting the role of president of the US. It may be that she has been substantially held back so as to not overshadow Biden, but that will come back to bite them come election time.
