- Willow Lake and the Willow Lake Scenic Pull Off is located 24 miles south of Glennallen, Alaska at Mile 87.7 on the Richardson Highway.
On a clear day, the pull off offers spectacular views of Mt. Sanford 16,237 ft., Mt. Drum 12,010 ft., Mt. Wrangell 14,163 ft., and Mt. Blackburn 16,390 ft.
The Wrangell Range compromises an area of over 5,000 square miles, with 12 peaks above 10,000 ft.
Willow Lake is close to the town of Copper Center and the community of Kenny Lake, Alaska which is located on the Edgerton Highway.
The Wrangell - St. Elias National Park Copper Center Visitor Center is located to the North of Willow Lake at mile 106.8 on the Richardson Highway and has great information about this area, its history, and the mountains themselves, several of which are volcanoes.
Note: There is no public access to this lake, and it is barren of fish.
