@@gogotravelwithjosh no sir, you’re doing an amazing job highlight properties in an efficient manner and focusing on things those of us who love to travel appreciate!
Hi Josh! Have you stayed at the Marriott in the Renaissance Center in downtown Detroit? Also designed by John Portman, the architecture is almost identical, but the hotel in Detroit is twice the height of the the Bonaventure in L.A. It no longer has a pool and is now a Marriott, but I would be so excited to see you review / compare the two hotels + buildings on their own merit (not comparing cities), just the hotels. It's right on the riverfront and downtown Detroit offers a large variety of events and activities [boat rides on the Detroit River, bike/segway/walking tours, paved bike paths throughout the city, architecture tours, world-class museums, theaters, restaurants, and so much more! Best wishes for safe travels, Christina Collie / Picture Detroit
What lounge area are you referring to? But all elevators required key card access. If your going to one of the restaurants staff can help you get there.
I don’t have a top 5 in L.A because there are not a lot of great hotels there. But when it comes to Marriott properties, I would choose the Ritz Carlton Los Angeles and for Chicago 1. The new St. Regis 2. The Ritz Carlton 3. W Lakeshore 4. The Gwen Luxury Collection 5. One of the Autograph collection properties or Marriott Marquis
You keep saying that various features are "dated," but you don't explain what you mean by that. Can you be more specific as to what is dated about them?
You didnt mention that the BonaVista Lounge spins allowing 360 degree views of the city.
Hi Josh, I'm Dennis Daniels from Cleveland, Ohio! Thanks for sharing your video about your review of Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles!
Thanks for watching! Glad it was helpful!
@@gogotravelwithjosh Did you know that the Bonaventure Hotel now sits on the site where the Pacific Electric subway trains used to run?
Crazy that I own this building in Los Santos! 💅
My dad and brother are staying there now for a few days!
Thanks for the video Josh, love your work
Thank you for the kind feedback! Hope to share many more amazing hotels with you.
Very nice hotel. Me and my wife stayed there during our visit to Los Angeles a couple of years ago.
Very nice, hope you enjoyed
I'm an architecture student from San Luis Potosí, México. Thanks for sharing this video, i'd love more interior shots in future reviews
Thanks for the feedback! I will try to make sure I include interior shots of future hotels too:)
I like the "dated" look everytime they renovate buildings they end up looking like hospitals.
If dated is your style, I’m sure you would love this property.
Another great, thorough review!
Thank you! Is there anything you think I can still improve upon for future reviews?

Hi, i understand they charge an extra fee per night, how much is that?
Upon researching it looks like there are no extra fees. Only the tax on the rooms.
The Westin Bonaventure Hotel looks like the BMW Headquarters building
What part of California, Josh?
San Diego!
Did you feel safe during your stay?
While I was there, yes. Walked to Zoe Church on Sunday for a great service. I wouldn’t recommend going out at night.
Do you need a key card to get to the lounge area on top?

Did Fredric Jameson send anyone else here?
Where are you from, Josh?
California!
Since you travel alot, can you give me your top 5 best hotels in Los Angeles AND your top 5 hotels in Chicago?

Got refurbished in 1997
It also was renovated in 2011. They definitely need to do it again soon!
Looks like gta 5
