I'm so glad you made this video. I've been thinking about the spiritual aspects of losing weight lately. I believe in Jesus, but it never even occurred to me that He would even care about my desires to lose weight or the anxieties that cause the junk food binges that caused me to gain weight in the first place. But then I was talking to an older (& much wiser) woman, & expressing how difficult it was to balance my college/social life plus eating healthy & managing stress. She just looked at me & told me to talk to the Lord about all of that - my veganism, weight loss frustrations, anxieties, everything. Just talk it all out. It's been very helpful for me & has changed my thought processes about so many things. I think I'd be legitimately insane or in a deep depression if I didn't pray/talk to God during the day 😅

Yes, it's important to have a positive attitude and keep our thoughts under control. I'm meditating daily and that helps me a lot in quieting my thoughts, stay away from people's dramas and not to take anything personally. Spending time in nature, enjoying the sunshine, working out and having a healthy diet are also essential 🌺 💚 🍓

That was amazing - Lily, you absolutely capture that feeling of connection to the universe. I felt that I just KNEW what you were talking about, often feel it too, even as it impossible to describe and any words or thoughts just flail around and bounce off before that. Before...whatever it is.
......for my own reasons, I do wish this video and series as a whole was titled differently, I have been watching and loving your videos for months now, but stayed away from the weight loss series like the plague, since it seemed that for an anorexic in recovery, it would be useless or triggering. Aside from a few moments at the beginning and end, though, I feel this video is important for anyone, regardless of their eating disorder, food issues, mental health issues, personal problems and so on. This and the video about facing your demons really shook me to my core.

I do not remember whether u addressed wheat exclusively, so it would be cool to say why it is important to avoid it. Since I am dealing with super big belly (wheat addict; vegan for 1.5years) and it seems to grow I decided to hv a look at the internet. To my horror (cause I like my fluffy breads) I need to pull the plunge. love watching u Lilly

Hi Lily! Aimee here in DC. I am coming late to this video as I have been busy healing a UTI for several weeks! Fun! I think every health challenge is the opening up of a new and better understanding of how we are treating ourselves. I got pretty cocky when I cured my chronic candida a few years ago on a diet of fruit and more fruit! I tend to think that because I am a high carb low fat vegan I will be immune to all evil! But that is not the case. Life is indeed full of ups and downs, and with 3 young children, a husband out of work, health issues and a physically and mentally demanding "lifestyle" in one of the most expensive areas of the US. Stress? I am actually so grateful that I can load up my grocery cart with tons of fruit and vegetables and grains and endure the stares of other shoppers, and when I get to the till my bill is under $200! I simply can't afford not to be vegan with a family of 5 to cook for!
    Continuing in next comment...

When you open yourself up to the infinite possibilities of this universe, it provides what you need. I'm certain of that. 2 weeks and I'll be in Costa Rica for a long trip to decide if we're going to move there. A year ago we were skint, absolutely skint and it felt like it would never happen. But I opened up to that desire, longed for it, visualised it and then suddenly, the opportunities were there and the money became available. Was it simply luck, or coincidence? I don't know, but I am so incredibly grateful either way. When our perspective shifts, amazing things become possible.

Thank you for this. This was beautiful. I am still working on my own spiritual journey. I am definitely not at the point where I see some godlike being and his son sitting in heaven answering our prayers. But I was going through something that was really worrying me. And this quote I heard long ago came into my head, "all is in divine order" And it does look like some things are coming together. Also, gratitude. When I am looking at the things I do have to be grateful for, I feel more whole. And to me feeling whole is what I am aiming for.

So 4 yrs ago I was slim at 127 lbs 5'6" wearing size 6 clothes when I was a miserable low carb high fat vegan. Now I am a super pumped up joyful badass high carb low fat raw til 4 vegan and LOVING LIFE, but I look like my old fat pre vegan self!!! Back to 155 lbs and in a size 10/12! I feel like at age 46 I am at the end of my youthful period and I just so badly want to finally have the hot body, the carefree in a bikini experience! To feel proud and relaxed in my own body FOR ONCE! I do not want to have to go all raw to achieve this, but I am beginning to think its my my hope. But I know that my family life is challenging enough without me cooking for my family every night and watching them eat hot delicious high carb food while I have a cold salad with fruit this winter! Help Lily! You are young and clever...any coaching from you will be valuable. Aimee xoxoxo

I am so thankful for you for expressing my thoughts and feelings with language so well. If my English and my communication skills were better I would probably say very similar things, but I just feel/know them. And I am eternally thankful for the internet for making it possible to meet people like you even though we are so far away from each other on the planet. Here's another proof that you always find what you are a vibrational match with. You express the knowledge I had wanted to hear for years. I had been gathering the puzzle pieces in confusion for so long and nowadays I feel things are falling into place and you are one part of that story in my life. And I expected this knowledge from some kind of a mentor/teacher in my own language, where I live and here you are on youtube, talking to me in English and I am just thankful. What you really need, you do get eventually, just maybe not the way you imagined it or thought it was possible.

I am also soooo happy you brought up the whole Abraham Hicks thing!!! I live in a certain amount of isolation as a mother and I keep myself feeling positive with the help of Abraham and the "Vortex" recordings!!! But I agree with you that I am a little disappointed with their take on animal suffering and eating whatever the heck you want as long as you are joyful and in alignment with it! Seems off to me. It's the one area that makes me question the validity of their perspective. The rest is brilliant and Esther passes my BS detector....it's just too right and too good for her to be pretending to channel. I enjoy it and it helps me clean up my psychology and that is what matters.

You are very good at bringing this all together with emotional aspects of view, but one cannot care about their body until they emotionally attatch themselves to the wellbeing of their body, so you are correct, but until it is dealt with within a person, to begin caring, allowing, and accepting their physical body as a focal point of their emotional and mental energies to conduct themselves in harmony through the physical to create their greatest reality.
You are very right about the body must be sustained by the right vitamins, water, activity, and so forth, but again if someone `forces` themselves to continue doing such things when they are emotionally not ready to begin embracing this new way into their lives. They will continue to falter into their same ways, because emotionally they are still connected to ways of life that no longer nourish them.

So, basically, my story is identical to what you constantly talk about, except it is not food that's my big problem, it's weed. Started using it for period pains and pms, since I was becoming pretty much immune to any type of pain relief drug out there (yup, the periods were ER bad, it was probably the hormones from all the dairy lol) and I figured weed sure as hell couldn't do more harm than all those pills do. Eventually, it just became a crutch you were mentioning a while ago; I'm still struggling with it today even though I've started, quite successfully, working on the emotional baggage and overall shitstorm. Your words help a lot, so does going to see a therapist biweekly and practicing mindfulness. It's much less noisy in my head nowadays if you get what I mean, haha, I've realized that I'm standing in my own way and I choose not to follow the same choices I had before, but damn, it's draining going through everything over and over. One day at a time, I suppose; short term goals shall accumulate. :D

i love your videos so much Lily, so informative and no-nonsense thank you for existing!!! On that note, I wonder if you could do a video about the pitfalls of eating for spiritual enlightenment a la Natalie Rose if you have ever heard of her/her diet. She wrote the book Detox 4 Women that promotes a mostly raw diet with goat cheese and chocolate included, but very few calories, claiming that the body runs not on calories but "life force energy"
    Thank you!!

thanks for the informative video. I just came back from Maui and I thought of you while buying expensive fruit from the farmer's markets. Thank God I don't actually live there, I would never survive the high costs. So bless you if you can find a farmer to cut you a discount.

Great video! Have you/Would you address "Ketones"? I see this term everywhere know and am wondering what they really are. Is it really "super fuel for your brain"? I have a feeling it isn't, but having no info I can't make a reasonable conclusion. Thanks!

I just love you! I think you were suppose to be my twin 😃 If I was ever lucky enough to meet you I think we would take weeks of conversation to compare life stories😁 I have been told all of my adult life how "brash" I am and how some people just have a hard time "getting" me so since I've been following you I have embraced the "brash" me and stopped apologizing for being ......just me! Keep doing you because you are cherished by a lot of people....like us lol

Hello Lily, I am new to your channel and I like it! Just saw your video from a while ago about your mum. I don't know you nor your mum and the specific situation, but iT seems like you are two damaged people. You cant expect someone to be a certain way or to give if this person is not able to do this. Looking back is useful but maybe better is to focus on yourself and the future: do it better for your (step) children and love them, encourage them and love yourself. The most important relationship in this life is the one you have with yourself!

Apologies for multiple comments, but I need help with my weight situation. Really. I love my raw til 4 lifestyle, but I have put on 25-30 lbs of pure blubber, mostly belly fat, over the past 3 years of eating plenty of fruit, veg, starches and rice and legumes. I do not eat vegan junk foods, processed foods, oils, soy, refined sugars etc. i pretty much model myself in what you show yourself eating, what Freelee and Banana Blondie show and the like. I have never counted calories to verify my in take. I exercise moderately and want to amp that up with strength training. i cycle, walk, do lots of yoga and Fitness Blender workouts. i don't always make myself truly exert myself into a serious sweat and exercise often gets skipped in my busy days with kids. I am currently 5'6 and 155 lbs. age 46. 3 kids ages 13,8 & 7. Here is the story. I have never been naturally skinny or thin. At your age I worked out a lot and was trying to figure out my diet but had not found the vegan solution. I studied French and Art history and was surrounded by a culture of cheese, meat and wine adoration. I had to work hard to be slim and attractive in my 20s. I ate less, ran harder...you know.
