My whole childhood stands on this table...
The space edition of Lego was the best series of all- I love the moon plates, the blue color bricks and yellow windows. I miss this sets 😢
There's a remake of the Galaxy Explorer now; the 10497 set. Check it out, it's awesome!
Also the Lego Movie spaceship is a must-have. I have both and they are everything I hoped for.
Both are very 80s, especially the Lego Movie spaceship.
I don't know why but all the sets this guy said were "eye sores" are my favorites ones. Blacktron 2, M-Tron, Ice Planet and Unitron are my favorite sets in Lego period.
Yeah, I used to play with the M-Tron, Blacktron 2, Exploriens and Space Police 2 as a child, so I guess that's why I like those the best. The Blacktron 1 looked awesome aswell!
This was 1000% worth the trip down memory lane so I could see my boy, Robot Command Center. ✊🤖
i have recently began to get back into lego . i have soooo many of these , instructions orginal bozxes and all pieces accounted for , that i can not wait to re build
With all the vintage space sets having pic of alt builds on their boxes, I wouldve like to have seen those there too. Sure it would mean buying the sets multiple times, but would've looked cool.
*LEGO, PLS watch this Video, we all want our Childhood back, sell us our Dreams PLS ;)*
They recreate the minifigures in 2019!
one of my first lego sets was the Starhawk II, my brother had the saucer centurian.
i'd love it if lego brought those themes back, but I think there is probably a whole lot more money to be made from Star Wars for space theme, just because it has the name Star Wars attached to it. Star Trek would be another great theme that a lot of fans would probably flock to, but I have a feeling only older generations would love to get our hands on the classic space theme sets again
I love all space sets from 78 to 2001 and I’m not old.
German guy here. I'm 40 years old now. And this video brought back all the fantastic memories with Lego from my childhood. I never realized that my family bought almost all of the classic space Lego sets for me. We sold them cheap to another child. It would be so nice to own them until today.
i know that feeling i also just realized that i have alot of the set´s because my parent´s bought for me a big used lego box from the flea market when i whas 5 years old im 20 now im also from germany but the sets i have are all incomplete and everything is one big box i never knew those part´s where part´s of set´s i played with them wrong my whole life :D i realy want to print the instructions from the internet now and try to rebuild the set´s i would love to see what set´s i actual own...
Do you know brickset.com and rebrickable.com and www.bricklink.com/ ?
On brickset you you will get all the instruction manuals.
Dito. 40y soon, swiss, Blacktron, M-Tron, Police 1 and the original Monorail extended x3 + more ... gave it away to the little brother of a mate I had back then when I was around 16 and other interessts ...and as everyone, I wished I never did that and still got at least SOME of those smaller space ships and rovers around :-/ ...good times. And indeed, as the video implied, the sets need their base - especially the Police one. I never realized that the last 20y I guess, but THAT's why I've built my own Police HQ out of wire frame + gypsum :) [and now I'm wondering why I didn't built it out of Lego..........hm!]
Ah... back than in the 80es,i lived in ex Yugoslavia (communist country). We only got few boring toys,no any legos. Once a year we went to Germany,to my aunt. I dreamed about legos, and toys, and couldn't sleep night before trip.
Once we went to some mall,in/near Ulm. We didn't have thoose in Yugoslavia..and there was in "glass box" a huge lego monorail driving around and space sets.. woow, was I amazed..my father even more..for us,that was a sight to be seen.
Among few other legos,i had two space sets, the moon crawler and rocket transporter. Than the war came..we lost everything. I always remember how beautiful classic space sets where, with that transparent yellow bricks. Whan war ended, after 7 years,we came back to our village, and I even found (all houses where pillaged) few lego bricks out in dirt it the yard. Few months ago,i have digging, and also found two lego bricks, from around '85 - '86,still with my tooth marks on them..
ahh, back when Lego had character and allowed some phantasy....
Fantasy*
Martin Tillemann lol
Back when the story didn’t come in the box
Absolutely amazing. Thank you. I’d love to see the forest sets and castle sets in their original shape just like you did with this. I was born in ‘79, so this is like the best lego video I’ve seen
My cousin let me play with his Lego Space Police and M-Tron. Wish I had a Lego monorail set. One thing I loved about the 1992 Lego Space Police mini-figures was the green uniforms. The Lego Futuron Monorail Transport System was featured in the 1990 film adaptation of the Roald Dahl book The Witches.
Ok, I'm rebuilding and collecting this entire table and make a video that's not shaking. Thanks for the hype, and anxiety. :-D
Incredible collection! Never thought I'd see them like this.
Love the video, amazing collection. Such a shame camera was shaking so much.
You're missing UFO and Insectoids ,and after those two themes from 97/98 comes Lego star wars in '99... Anyway great colection of all space classics !! 👏👏👏👍😁👍
its amazing the varying conditions. I find that most of the vintage sets I get are either beat to crap or nearly new. Its like theres no inbetween. They were either well loved or shoved in a box and forgotten.
AHH! UFO!! That was my first proper theme! It's so odd to hear someone else having dropped out at that theme.
Well, not much more happened after that in terms of space themes (except for Space Police 3, much, much later), so there's that. ;-)
@@kicksnarehats11, yes there was Insectoids. I really liked it, almost as much as UFO.
Wow. That's a lot of space sets... I focused on collecting Blacktron, Space Police, and actually everything else that was released in between 1989-1998 (excluding Futron and Robo Force). I still have a lot of catching up to do (Spyrius, Exploriens, and a few sets from Insectoids). I like the style of original Classic Space and Futuron, but I had never felt the need to collect them - good for my wallet, the prices of some older sets are pretty high nowadays :P
Lego UFO's were my first LEGOs in this world, gift by my parents (as santa claus) for christmas, I was 5 yo, memories...
Really awesome collection but after UFO we got Insectoids and clunky RoboForce. My three Favorite Space factions are M-Tron, Unitron and Futuron which I always dreamed about about having when I saw those huge boxes at Toys'R Us
There is an extra MOC in the Blacktron I section that I'd love to see closer images of. It fits right in!
could be this? s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/68/81/2a/68812a111786d76190c58e85449584c6.jpg
ShatteredVinyl Yeah, it's like a bigger alienator. Awesome!
Fantastik!!! My Classic Space 6929!!!👍👍👍👍
Surprised to see that Jean Reno is a passionate Lego collector.
Great video! I loved it. I have probably 1/4 of these sets. It's nice to see another space fan. :)
Criosphynx i love classic space
Lego was pure European in nature up till the 2000s. In this time of anyone can be a European this nostalgia makes me feel warm inside.
Can someone tell me what the Blacktron 1 crab? walker? is.`
not an official set
prototype?
I get dizzy from the filming, which is all over the place
Those monorails 👍👍
My Lego dream seen alive... I hope I'll be able to get at least few full classic series like Ice Planet 2002 someday.
Very nice collection. Between my sister, brother and me, we had maybe 15 or so of those sets including two bases and the monorail. Don't know where they are at now after moving.
amazing !! good idea for the predator figur :)
I’m in Lego heaven right now 😃👍
No Monorail ever again? I doubt that!
For everyone talking about the accent. This is how the founder talked
Nice interview :o)
Why is there a moc of the alienator in the blacktron section?
NOOOOOOOOOOO
blacktron 2 is the best!! i love the colour scheme far more than blacktron 1 or any other space theme
Backtron II and M-tron are my fav ones, can't even decide which one I like most
Well that’s like your opinion man
What is that Blacktron1 4 legged MOC?
If anyone is interested in buying a collection similar to this one, let me know. I'm missing a couple Classic space sets still (less than 10?), but I think i have everything else up to UFO, including instructions. One exception is 3 Futuron sets, including the monorail, which I should have soon =) ... Let me know!
Wheres my one, you havent got that one. Damn.
Ummm... excuse me, but where are the Insectoids???
I don't know
I guess Soren had lost interest by then, and the four RoboForce sets are absent too, but the Blacktron I MOC softens the blow a bit. 💡
Why stop making space LEGO? Old space LEGO 6.45- 8.45 was my childhood
You can thank Star Wars for that (for the most part, anyhow). ☹
amazing
The camera work was frustrating.
Awesome!
holy smokes i have the base inspired of james bond movie
i need to return at home to save it !!
Run, Micki, run!
^^
Man... AN ENTIRE THEME IS MISSING!
LOL nice profile, ive just order Alpha Draconis and Red Alien from Germany. They were missing for my 6979 set.
wagnerKTP Cool! I have the full ufo series except for two small sets
Is that insectoids?
No, it was RoboForce, but Insectoids neither lolool
what is the full name of the ufo set series ?
Did you guys notice the Kappa shirt?
Máté Kovács what?
I-I care about the monorail :(
Poketto I like it too, as strange as it was, but wouldnt argue its the best 12v, 7745 is
Poketto speaking of 7745, i built it just yesterday
If you like LEGO monorail, look me up. I have a new, faster one that will last, and adapt to all Space themes.
Somehow lego got lost IMHO with futuron and it's successors. Too extravagant. Great collection though !
To be honest They just look like he just threw all the sets There like no order
Not true. it is set up from 1979-1998 theme line up
Søren Johansen and the ones i have are from 85'_86'
Around 1985
Grouped in themes of Classic Space in years of release, Futuron, Blacktron, Space Police, M-Tron, blah blah.
