    I would love to see a video on how you navigate, communicate, and buy on aquabid. I've considered buying online but know how to do it the right way.

    These are Corydoras Schultzei Black, german breed, is not a wild type, I bought them for 3€ each here in Germany from another hobbyist.

    I raised up a group of these guys that a friend bred. Half of them have no, or greatly reduced pectoral fins. I think that this was probably due to some environmental condition. I received them at about a quarter of an inch and fed them on live bbs. I raised them in remineralized RO with 1/8 tsp baking soda and 1/4 tsp SeaChem Equilibrium per gallon of RO. I kept them at 78 degrees F. They were only fed during the week as they were in my classroom. I've herd of similar problems with Betta fry who are raised on micro worms. My friend says that they are one of the easiest Corydoras to breed. Good luck with them.
    Cheers,
    Chris

    Do you breed dwarf neon rainbows, I have luminatas I would like to breed but don't know how??

    • @fishboy1415
      @fishboy1415  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! I'm currently breeding the red laser rainbow (very similar to dwarf neon rainbow) haven't tried smaller rainbows like the luminatas yet. If I were, I would probably do the exact same process I did as my boesmani rainbows. Check that video out if you haven't already that might help!

    I’m pissed, I just got my corys out of quarantine two days ago transferred them into my established tank that has never had issues inside it and woke up today to 5 of the 6 corys dead, they all looked so good I’m kinda lost with this one. Any ideas?

    • @fixitcorrectly7301
      @fixitcorrectly7301 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      L I honestly not really, I’m guessing stress, I have not loss one other fish out of that tank and it has like 70 different male guppy’s in it and lots of cherry shrimp and all are doing great. Moved the one living Cory back into his first tank and he’s doing good still. Was really a weird deal.

    These Cory's are called Venezuelan blacks they are classed as rare corydoras and will breed once conditioned well just keep doing water changes to mimic raining season as that will induce spawning behaviour in corydoras thanks

    FYI. I read online that corys can do fine on eco complete and put it in my tank. My bigger corys like the bronze and peppered definitely developed worn/shortened barbels and thickened skin around the lips. They are fine and very fat but their face is callused now from the digging in the rough volcanic stone. Its like walking around barefoot on rough surfaces, your feet will eventually adapt but they won't feel as soft.

    • @fishboy1415
      @fishboy1415  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have all my other corys on black eco complete currently with no worn barbels. I put these guys on sand so I can see them :)

    Will Corey catfish do well in a 36 gallon

    • @fishboy1415
      @fishboy1415  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      They have done very well for me in 20 and 40 gallons depending on the species in my experience. I'm sure they would do well in a 36 gallon as well.

      @@fishboy1415 No problem! Mine seem to prefer a little higher pH and harder water. I had some kind of infection happen when I kept them in lower pH and softer water. Hopefully you don't have that happen haha.
