Met my first Thai missus here in Australia at a Thai massage shop, asked her out and we were together six months but I couldn’t come to terms with the fact she gave rub and tugs to guys at the shop.
Met the second one on tinder and she’s never asked me for anything other than to come to Thailand and meet her which I did, been over twice now and we’ve been together nine months and we couldn’t be happier mate.
My experience is...if you are young and want to party and have fun, find yourself a good Isaan girl. Best personalities and sense of fun and humour. But if you're older and want to settle down with a good woman of stable temperament steer clear of Isaan girls. They're on the whole a very moody and very feisty lot. You'll have better luck in Northern Thailand, Chiang Mai etc., where the whole culture is gentler, calmer, quieter and not so 'bipolar'.
Not just Isaan girls. Most are moody and a bit volatile at times

My advice to newbies in the Thai dating game: 1) start telling the girl you take care for a family member by paying for monthly medical bills and very expensive medication (A reversed sick buffalo story) 2) when on a date, take an old phone with lots of scratches, never show a new iPhone! If she's still interested and keeping up the conversation, well then you can go on.

On Thaifriendly I have had loads of women ask me either in the first message or soon after these questions - 'Have you had a Thai girlfriend before?' to 'Have you dated a Thai woman before?'. 'Where are you from?' 'What are you looking for here?' So, for us to ask similar questions of them I feel is fair and justified.
I agree 1 millions percent and logic would state that if they can ask them we can also 👌 however a normal woman who's sole purpose is not to extract money from you will not be as intrusive, the questions you are receiving are qualifying questions to see how clued up you are about Thai women... Please mate keep this message going, I,ve lived and stayed there on different occasions over 28 years. The 1 rule is don,t send money to these ladies, especially if you met her in the entertainment industry. I,ve stayed with to many before and that's what they live for. When I was on a holiday the second time I'd been in Thailand Phuket. 27 years ago. 1 lady I stayed with had a friend, who had 5 men sending her money every month. She was pretty much set up for about 50,000 baht over many months. That was a blast for her, and she had the hide to tell me she still slept with men when she thought they were good looking. Like I said the old saying in Thailand the more she makes the more she can spend on herself or flash in front of her friends. This is a true fact 💯 percent this is what they do.Please, Please understand most people can't pay what these ladies demand.

you may remember me from my comment, which you posted on your channel, about meeting a Thai woman my age (23 years old) in Phuket Town via Tinder while I was still in Canada.
You spent a good deal of time helping me out with this, and thank you for that by the way, I just thought an update is the least I could do for all your advice and help in my situation.
After a few weeks had gone by, casual chit chatting, my avoidance of speaking on my monetary status had grown old to her. She started to speak to me less and less, and when topics of money arose, I had shot them down immediately.
Like I had said before, at first she was extremely caring, and wanted nothing to do with my money. Unknowingly I was subjecting her to the “reverse sick buffalo story” as my mother had passed away in June due to cancer, claiming that I needed to help my family out with funds if needed.
Personally, looking back on the situation, she must’ve had some sympathy for me, as she had cut me off from the prospect of a relationship, and subjected me to somewhat of a platonic friendship.
I like to think of myself as somewhat of a more put together young man. I’m not one to give handouts, and from a very young age I’ve had to fight and protect what is mine. I have learned much in my 2 weeks so far in Thailand; but the most important lesson I have learned is that you must look out for yourself and no one else. This may also be my temperament, but I guarantee you will meet much more valuable individuals by standing up for your own interests and protecting your property, then if you were to have Chris’ temperament.
I used to play football, and every one of my coaches, at every age group, had the same advice which can be applied to real life, “protect yourself first, if you see a tackle coming in, you jump”
Sometimes if you go after the ball, you’ll end up with a broken leg 😉

Understand a thai is impossible as you are not one and will never understand thai concepts of life. I been coming to Thailand for 34 years lived in the Kingdom for 13 years. Married for 21 years to a Thai and they still surprise me everyday on some actions.

The general standard of English in Thailand is appalling. Even in the tourist areas. The educational system must be atrocious and have insufficient focus on that aspect. It is actually really odd for a minor nation with low GDP per capita (ranked 91 globally at $7232 in 2021), to have so little external focus. I lived in China for many years and almost anyone under 40 there is able to communicate at least to some level in English. For many younger people there, English is at B1 or B2 on the CEFR scale. Thailand has gone in a totally different direction. I have to attribute this to the collective delusion that many Thais have that they are living in the perfect place, everyone from outside is somehow lucky to be here and needs to invest time in learning their language.
Apparently when people have left Thailand and moved onto the Phillipines which a lot of expats have done over the last few years they have been shocked with how good everyone's English actually is compared to Thailand
@@thaitalkwithdan It is my understanding that Thais speak official Thai along with a regional Thai language that is different enough to be considered a separate language. English is the international language of business, so I get your point though. Im American and I don’t know any everyday working people that are fluent in any foreign language.
@@georgebrooks3873 head to Issan many people up there are fluent in at least two foreign languages, Laos and Khmer, they all speak central Thai that you mentioned, and many speak a bit of English. If you want fluent English, German, French speakers, head to the CBD in Bangkok. Head to many of the international hospitals where you will hear Thais speaking fluent Arabic all day long. Off course the normal tourists never see this side of Thailand.
@@thaitalkwithdan The Philippines was an American colony for about 45 years. Anybody who was "shocked" by the high level of English spoken in the Philippines obviously didn't do their homework before leaving.
@@georgebrooks3873 Are you referring to Americans? If you are, you're kidding, right? 🤔America is the land of immigrants, and millions of Americans speak multiple languages. It is true that many native-born Americans only speak English. But the children of immigrants born in America are bi-lingual, more often than not.
Finally, there are school districts across America with foreign language "immersion" programs were kids, starting at age 5, are instructed in a foreign language. Not a single word of English is spoken by the teacher. My youngest brother was placed in such a program by my parents and he is now fluent in two languages. That said, I will concede that, for most Americans, speaking a foreign language is not the norm.

Dan, Christian Filipina is no doubt a reputable data site and they do actually call you shortly after you want to join but is extremely expensive in my opinion. Minimum plan start at $100 US PER MONTH
They have different plans where you pay less for block bookings etc but it is definitely only for people who are extremely serious about finding a genuine partner and people that can afford it, I spent so much time looking for a decent dating service and most of them are pretty bad!!

Hi Dan I’m from the U.K. I spent some time in the Philippine’s you will have problems with Christian Philippine’s dating because 95% of pinos are Christian Roman Catholic which fits with lots of westerners it’s not the same in Thailand so I can’t see this working for you in Thailand
I spoke to people in Thailand who found partners from it here that's one of the main reasons why I reccomended them, do you use it yourself or did you use it before ?

The problems are they can be quite aggressive in their sales pitch it's not a cheap service and there are issues around bringing them into the UK because they are company that is based in America and the majority of their customers are American that creates some issues for a British personal
