This is a great guide. It took me one hour to do it on my GT. Be advised you don't need to remove the bolt at 1:58 if you can do with little clearance, just loosen the two bolts of the brake caliper and slide it back slightly then you can take off the brake disc. it makes the job faster. Yeah I did it without impact gun that's why it took me 1 hour ~~
Thank you for your feedback! Thank you for the valuable remark. We will surely consider it when doing the further replacements of this unit. Best regards, Autodoc.
Great video and was a big help for me ...but just need to say that the hub nut was not locked on to the thread via the pressed indent...which means the hub nut could wind off and the wheel will fall off....
Thank you for the feedback! We are glad that our tutorial was helpful for you. Your opinion and remarks are very important for us. We will take them into consideration for our next tutorial. Best regards, Autodoc.
doing this job myself has become a real nightmare! first the video shows a 32mm socket for the hun not which mine isn't, after buying several sockets it's actually 36mm! then the hun nut was welded on, snapped two breaker bars. finally borrowed an impact wrench which got the nut off, then the hub itself was seized, managed to get it off with a hub puller (more expense) then the rear part of the bearing is stuck on the drive shaft! I now how to find a way to get that off, probably be to use an angle grinder to get it off! I think this video is more suitable for newer models, mine is a 2003 and Alfa's are rusty beasts! The saga continues.
Two different variants. One is 30mm inner diameter the other is 35mm diameter, So depending which you have you need the smaller or bigger socket. Need to check these things before you make more work for yourself.
Thank you for your comment. Unfortunately, we can’t answer for sure whether we will have such a video. Stay tuned for updates on our channel! Best Regards, Autodoc Team
Great video mate! I want to change in my car the rear wheel bearing and i wanna ask if the SKF VKBA 3691 fit to my car (Alfa romeo 147 facelift 2006 120hp)
I dont see you using any grease. I replaced mine, without using extra grease, 5000 kilometers and it is singing again. I ordered a new one at Autodoc but now i put it full with grease.
Thank you for your feedback! Unfortunately, the dificulty of the replacement is particular for each car. It all depends on the technical state of the joint connection of a part. Our videos are informative and they contain only the sequence of repairs. To save the time, we have to unscrew all difficult threaded connection joint beforehand. Best regards, Autodoc.

Evidently this mechanic is using the famous 'Armstrong' torque wrench.
Never in a million years have I seen a bearing just slide of a shaft like that😮
nice video, gets the general picture. In real life you need a lot of violence to get this done.
