The clay block is way more useful and easier to use then using the clay bar. I understand some people have their preference, but I would recommend the clay block.
I just bought this kit yesterday and man I’m loving the machine ! I have never detailed before but I am a perfectionist so I love this type of effort to detail ! Thank you for making this guide now I understand much better what each product is used for, also I want you guys to know that I only use your products as I find them amazing , cheers to you and stay safe
I really appreciate all of the dark colored cars being detailed. My black metallic paint needs some love. This video answered every single one of my questions. Aaand I learned a lot more. I feel confident I can do this task. Thank you @chemicalguys
I used Chemical Guys products for the first time yesterday. Was amazed. Will only be using them for now on. Wished I would have had the jet seal and butter wax but that will be next
A really good video to help the beginner, chemical guys you should include a copy of the link in every polisher kit. I wished this was available to watch when I first started.
All CG videos helped me go from Noob to Good and making extra side money! Love the videos and products! A new forever customer and showroom shined and protected vehicles. 🤘🤘
I used your spot remover and I found it to be a miracle worker. Love the product! I'm going to have to polish my ride to get out all the swirls and scratches next. Think I'll go with your product since I've seen how well it works. Thank you guys so much. BEST PRODUCT I've seen yet
These videos are so helpful! I've been on the fence on which V series to get for my wife's car. We have some scratches by the door handle, and our lease is up at the end of the year. With this video I know I can use the V36 to get these down and bring back some shine! Thanks for the information it's definitely appreciated 😊
1)This new clay bar, is it better than the original clay bar? 2) The spray you apply on the pad before you start; how often do you do that? 3) can I clay bar my windows and add a protectant? If so what do you recommend? 4) will the clay bar and polish remove water stains? If so will the polish and or ceramic help keep it away? 5)after you polish the entire vehicle and you want to ceramic it do you use the rotary and pad? 6) THATS ALL. THANKS.
You guys are the best👍💯. You guys don't know how hard I'm working to hopefully one day Frenshcise Detail Garage. Hopefully by mid next year. Keep up the good work!
Great content. Excellent, well done. Gives great guide to how to approach paint correction as a Beginner. Massively helpful in de mystifying some of the things we hear on the Detailing channels. Thanks.
I am sooooo close to buy that TORQ10FX...(bundle) online for $160. So glad I came across ur products, haven’t looked back. I use to use mequires but NOOOOOO more! Very informative video thx!
Hi Tom! It is not necessary to condition the pad when applying glaze, sealant and wax since you should only be using the lowest speed setting with a soft pad.
hey teacher you are fantastic I learn a lot with Tigo, my cars look spectacular, I have a new problem they painted my 94 Chevy Silverado red it looks great but the problem that when they polished it when putting the wax they left a lot of residue in the door openings and moldings Now I have that problem, you look white everywhere, I would like to learn how to remove residues, someone said that with degreasing but one of your videos is not highly recommended, you are a professional and I would like to hear your advice, thank you.

Aloha, I have a black 2017 Honda Civic. It has a lot of swirls and deep scratches. What would be the best combination to take away swirls and deep scratches? Lmk Mahalo @ChemicalGuys
All I did in lockdown was try out new CG products and detail. I wonder how V34 would compare to VSS? So far black light and butter wet wax have impressed.
So if you start with the V32 would it be necessary to move up step by step till you get to the V38? Or would you just go from using the V32 to the V38? Thanks
Hey there! After using V32 is would be best to follow up with V34 and/or V36 before using V38 to refine the clear coat and achieve the best possible finish.
Curious.....how many micro fiber towels do you go through when detailing ? It'd be nice to see how to properly use micro fiber towels and when one gets to wet etc.....I'm OCD so I can't tell using common sense hehehe
Hey! It all depends on how the towels are used. If they are folded in 4, that means you will have 8 towels to play with. I personally detail my truck with 5 towels. Make sure to follow the folding process to maximize your towels. Thank you so much for watching and happy detailing!
What towel you use to remove wax is it just any microfiber towels, I used some that where brand new still made small scratch’s on black vehicle surface?

@CG great video. However, I have a question after I use Clean Salte and clay my car. Do I have to use the V34 or either one of the V-line that you guys carry, or could I skip that and go straight to the butter wet wax?
If you're going to polish then we recommend doing that after you have washed and clay barred your vehicle. Depending on the condition of your paint, it may vary as to which compound/polish you'll need to correct it. If you don't plan on polishing or you're finished polishing, then you can apply a protectant like Butter Wet Wax to your vehicle.
Hey! This combination removes scratches and swirls by refining the finish. Use your favorite ceramic, glaze, sealant and/or wax for shine and protection.
Hey Paul! Absolutely, once the polish has broken down wipe away the spent product and then it can be coated with any or all (ceramic, glaze, sealant, and wax). - CG Nick
Do you have a video of using that clay bar on a bad decontaminate paint I'm curious how well it works like other brands it's only good for light and leaves scratches so I wish you let us hear how bad it was
Hey! We recommend using 2 pads per car, but after, we recommend cleaning them with Pad Cleaner. www.chemicalguys.com/foam-and-wool-polishing-pad-cleaner/foam-wool-pad-cleaner.html

Hi Gerard! Thanks for your message. The clay bar is a tool which means it should only be used when necessary. I recommend using the appropriate clay bar twice a year to maintain a smooth finish. - CG Nick
Hi Richie! Determine the appropriate combination of pad and chemical by starting with a test spot using the least aggressive approach such as an Orange Hex-Logic Pad with V36 Cutting Polish, from there you can use more abrasives for deeper scratches or move to a final polish. Once desired level of shine has been achieved apply your favorite coatings to lock in your hard work.
do you clean your pads after each pass? or how often do you clean them in the process? what method do yall use to clean pads durring the process? brush? compressed air? thanks

Dumb question but do you claybar the roof? I have a a similar truck and it’s tough to reach the roof
Hi Joe! Yes, we do clay bar, polish and protect the roof. Use a step ladder or stool to access the hard to reach areas of your vehicle.
@CG great video. However, I have a question after I use Clean Salte and clay my car. Do I have to use the V34 or either one of the V-line that you guys carry, or could I skip that and go straight to the butter wet wax?

Instead of that type of sealant could I use hydro slick or jet seal?
Hey Wade! Absolutely, use HydroSlick and/or JetSeal to lock in shine and repel the elements.
- CG Nick
Are these products only for shine ? Or can you use them for scratches ?
Hey! This combination removes scratches and swirls by refining the finish. Use your favorite ceramic, glaze, sealant and/or wax for shine and protection.

I bought the kit and VSS. Guess what? It created more swirls. Grrrrrrr!
Hey Bruce! Be sure to work VSS until it turns completely clear using an Orange Hex-Logic Pad.
@@ChemicalGuys I watched your video and follow your instructions. I don’t trust it now it.
Can I use V34 and then the Blacklight Glaze and Sealant afterwards?
Hey! It is best refine V34 with V36 and/or V38 before applying coatings.
If you start but don’t finish, and don’t had the 38 (stopped for the night) do I need to clay bay again in the morning before adding the 38?
Hey Nick! It is not necessary to clay bar the vehicle again.
After you using v32 can you use the same pad to put v38 on the pad or do yall recommend changing the pad
Hi there! V38 is best paired with a White Hex-Logic Pad to refine the finish.
- CG Nick
Other Chem Guys videos I've watched recommend always cleaning the pad before switching chemicals, to ensure there are no adverse cross-contaminations.
Truck looks good. How often do you blow your pads out?
Hey! We recommend using 2 pads per car, but after, we recommend cleaning them with Pad Cleaner.

Once you have clayed your vehicle, is it necessary to apply a glaze, sealant or wax?
If it’s your own car then yes
Hey! Yes, we recommend applying a glaze, sealant, and wax after to ensure shine and protection to the vehicle. Thanks for watching and happy detailing!
Is it possible to polish plastics on a SXS ?
Hey Joey! It is safe to polish any surface that is gloss painted, shiny or clear.
Can the Extreme Top Coat be used on glass like Butter Wet Wax? Or is it just painted surfaces only?
Harry Torrenegra use their jet seal product.
Hey! Yes, you can apply Extreme Top Coat on glass. Thanks for being part of the Chemical Guys family!
Do you need to do an ipa wipe with this synthetic clay block
Hey! No, we recommend using a synthetic lubricant like Clay Luber. Thanks for watching and thanks for being part of the Chemical Guys family!
Do you always need to use a top coat after polishing with the v lines??
Hey! After polishing it is important to apply some form of protection. That could be a ceramic, glaze, sealant, or wax.
