TBH there are a lot of factors of why RACO2 is recieved worse:
1. all the high cost cards are "one of"s like Accesscode. So the value is deminished compared to having to buy a set of pricy staples
2. The lows are way worse, Sol and Luna LMAO
3. Some of the staples are either powercrept to hell or cheap as fuck or both, MST
4. All the usable staples are too niche and format dependant to be eye catchung; XYZ encore
5. Expectations were set too high and sometime moving into delusional, people actually thought Wanted was in the set.
5.1 Some of the wanted cards already got a (non-)reprint in slightly earlier sets, TTThrust
6. The reasonable expectations were NOT met despite cards that were reprinted at the same time were skipped, Why do we get another Exosisters pax reprint, when you could reprint all 4 Bystial dragons (so that they have the same rarity print) and/or Fenrir. Also Diviner could need a more accessible print.

This years trash cans are going to have some of the most sought after cards (Chaos Angel, Kurikara etc.) , while also being one of the worst tins in years. Good luck getting the cards you want from a 400+ cardpool. Also bet on all the good card being high rarity and shortprinted with a shit ton of chaff cards being in the same rarity pool.
Ive seen a lot of people defending the set with "well obviously (good card) wouldn't be in the set Konami never reprints cards (some reason about the timing or type of set they came from)" and like... am I supposed to care why the set is bad? I just don't get why peoe need to defend "oh they can't put ty-phon in ago won't be reprinted until the tins come out" type dumbass shit like, OK? Still doesn't make any of the cards in here worth reprinting
Majority of this set didn't need reprints. Why do we need reprints of cards like MST, Book of Moon, and the Judgement package when they are already easily accessible and cheap in multiple rarities? We got some good reprints in cards like Accesscode, Apollo, Chimera, Guarura, Perlereino, and Wraitsoth, and Rage, if we get Sharvara back next banlist, and amaybe Crossout if you want to stretch things because it was like $5 before the setlist dropped, but that's really it. It's going to feel like shit ripping packs that costs twice as much to see cards half as playable as RC1.
Also a random grip I have is, why did they reprint Mourner and Orge only in the alt art when Ash and Bell where printed in their orginal art in RC1? We are going to have this weird mish mash of alt art and OG art ghost girls if we get a RC3 and they reprint Reaper and Sister.

Rarity Collection is a bad set for people who are already deep in Yu-Gi-Oh. But it's really appealing to those who are just outside. I showed some buddies who are casuals the set and they really liked it. Stuff that we don't care about are ironically selling points for some people. Rescue Cat, D.D Crow, and Reiko being revealed from this set got one of my buddies to be nostalgic of the game and is really interested in coming back. If it was higher rarity reprints of Tear or Sinful spoils. By buddies would not care.
This is a true. Tears and Kashtira reprints won’t bring in new players, and it won’t bring in old players, at least with this rarity collection old players Can look at cards like “polymerization” and “enemy controller” and remember when they were around. This nostalgia has a better chance of bringing in players then reprinting new cards which don’t mean anything to anyone other than those already playing
There's no way a new player Is going tò buy this product at a Crazy price, When most of It Is way cheaper tò buy in old prints singles.
Even the Good pulls are not worth the price, at all.
Honestly though would throwing in some of the kashtira cards not turn a few heads?

I’m a casual for most things. So these rarity collections is like when Disney+ adds the 2 year old releases for free.
I’m definitely gonna pull for things I don’t have copies of, since I don’t care for rarities. My problem is that the cards are all staple/tech cards.
Konami should be including some more meta relevant cards. Cards the incentive me to want to play competitively. Guess I’ll keep it casual for now.
What I'm confused about are the people defending it SO hard online. Yugitubers and normal ass players. I genuinely don't understand why it's happening. What happened to making fun on Konami when they release extremely mid sets??? Everyone at my LGS laughed when the list dropped and are just picking up the 3 or 4 singles they want. Genuinely no reason to buy packs.
Maybe deep down, they're scared that if they put this set down too much, Komoney will end up canceling it all together
it's easy to see that this exists to just be a 'rarity upgrade' set, which the first RC was technically.
They chose not to reprint in-demand meta cards cause they're banking on the bloated setlist for the megatin and Battles of Legend this year actually being able to sell, unfortunately.
The only thing I wanted is a QCSR rarity of "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon" update text errata that isn't in gold rarity but nooooo Konami say let's put 4 Blue-Eyes cards and give them a structure deck as well.
I want to remind people that they go and release rarity collection one only to go and ban all the cards people actually wanted from that set or made it sub optimal to play some of them because of other cards that came out.
So I expect the majority of the generic links in this new rarity to also be hit with a ban after new Exodia drops next month.

Reprint sets for Yu-Gi-Oh are either meta relevant or nostalgia bait.
I'm honestly surprised that Fenrir isn't in this set. It won't be in MP24, it was already in MP23, this was the time to reprint Fenrir for wide access.

Not even that the set is bad, but it's middling quality, for more cost and quantity. It's basically a downgrade of rc1 quality for higher cost.
The absolute disrespect I see towards the Rarity Collection 2 being treated as if it was Star Packs is actually absurd.

How can't It be bad of literally anything in the set could be bought for the price of 2-3 boxes, even before the reprints were announced?
This product genuinely has no target customer: Is It for Edison? No, those reprints are pretty much useless for Edison (in terms of availability). Is It for competitive? Maybe, but way too expensive: you could already get everything reprinted for roughly the same Money.
For new players? There are like 10 Cards that are actually Good.
Was this supposed tò reprint archetypes tò make them accessibile? Not even that, unless they expected everyone tò only want purrelys.

@@francescolofaro8258 m8, do you know how expensive Crossout, Rindbrumm, Guardian Chimera, all of the Purrely cards, Souls, Dragoon, Garura, Harbinger, Apolusa etc. were before this Set. This set doesnt have to be for a specific Group. Its for everyone. Because lets be honest here. No one really buys product these days. The only ones who are really buying a lot of product, are the vendors. So the vendors buy the Set and everyone buys what they want from the vendors. There is just as you kinda implied, something for everyone here. The Anime Andies get their blue-eyes cards, the time wizard players get the Charge, the ryko etc. and the competive players get all the other stuff.
Then you buy it, and if other’s dont then they don’t. You don’t gotta defend it ha ha

The argument ive been seeing for the filler in RA02 is that RA01 not only had filler, but more filler and im sorry, a set with the only accessible print of Baronne is allowed to fuck around a little bit ijs✋️😭🤚
Except the "filler" was still better than the filler in this set. Sol and Luna is nowhere near as bad of a reptin Fairy Tail Luna. Hell, Compulse from RC01 would literally be one of the better "legacy reprints" in this set.

This collection is probably still best set of the year, just not quite as hype as RA01.
INFO might be a big power set. For reprint sets? yeah probably. But the issue is the price of RA02. Cards like diviner or fenrir that should have been in not being in is annoying but double MSRP is the worst part by a mile. The set is just mid otherwise, people wouldn’t cry as much if it cost the same as the first.
You get twice the amount of card though so the double msrp doesnt matter
@@zell245 the price is literally the same. But with a higher ratio of high rarity cards. I go by the box and per card cost. Rarity Collection 1 was about $100 per box, and contained 120 cards. 48 super slots, 48 ultra slots, and 24 secret slots. Rarity Collection 2 is about $110 per box, but contains 162 cards. 54 supers, 72 Ultras, and 36 Secrets. This is a much better value per card in general. And the set is decent as for having some good inexpensive rarity upgrades, as well as some decent reprints. Rarity Collection 1 is still the much superior product, because of the novelty and it had first choice at all the stuff we’d been wanting, but RA02 is still pretty good, and makes me excited for RA03.
