not really, all the high end rarity reprints(yes QCR to me is the same as ulti/starlight rare) just continue to crash the high end market, if you are a blue eyes collector, you will be mad cuz ur card value falls by lots and neither you get any new cards (and all blue eyes cards are bad to be played at least dark magician got dragoon). Konami really needs to print low rarity version of each card instead of doing all these QCR prints. I completely lost my interest in collecting yugioh cards since RC1.
@@bradleybaynard5536 I’m not sure what the most expensive card was that is getting reprinted but I didn’t see anything on that list that has current market value exceeding $30ish dollars. Correct me if I’m wrong though I didn’t check every card. But thrust still like $40-50. Most of the “chase” cards were already fairly inexpensive to begin with.
Worst part is they didnt even reprint the expesive edison cards... where is magical android? reaper on the nightmare? or even iron chain dragon which has only 1 printing??? this set is just a slap to the face.

@@truknight1986 go and look at the 27 cards mentioned when this set was announced by current meta standard 20-21 of 27 cards aren't meta there casual or below i think that right there is more than enough to confirm the sets targeted audience and the fact a blue-eyes deck was announced right before this list was published do you need more evidence maybe i can post rarity collection 1 card list.
The set is ok-ish. The main issue with the set is the price tag.
Overall it makes some Edison cards more accessible, not leaving the whole market in the hands of whom have bought out relevant cards in the past. Couple of good reprints for Advanced as well and affrodable rarity bumps in general are a good thing.
At the same time there are no meaningful reprints for Edison, Tengu nor Advanced.
-Edison: where are Trap dustshoot, Royal Oppression, Android and Trident Dragion?
-Tengu: where are Maxx C, The Shining, Trap Dustshoot and Trident Dragion?

What makes me so upset is that Supreme King Z-arc didn't get a reprint. I know that sounds weird but he didn't get one in the TCG because when Age of Overlord was released in the OCG Z-arc was a promo card that came with the set if you bought a booster box but in the TCG we don't get promo packs in our booster boxes. Since Rarity Collection is a TCG made product it would have been a perfect time to give us a Quarter Century Secret Rare Supreme King Z-arc.

Unchained Rage caught me off guard as I just bought 2x for $20 Cad each which I already thought was a steal. Either way, Im just getting into physical from MD and their is a quite a few staple link and side deck cards that I need. Probably would be better for me to wait and scoop up singles after the release but I found a box for $130 cad and just getting the feeling of opening packs again after nearly 20 years is worth it to me.

I think the set is fine if you play retro formats. There's a few upgrades I want for Edison/Tengu
the set isnt bad. its good. it just isnt great or amazing. the problem is it doesnt have any specific 1 or 2 cards that are blowout amazing cards. all they had to do was put fenrir, druiswurm, and thrust and people would have set the set was fire. there isnt any specific card in the set that people absolutely needed. and there isnt any good 3 ofs that you need to get but there is a lot of good extra deck slots but thats just 1 ofs. they really missed some reprints. darkwing blast isnt in line to be reprinted in the tin.
So basically: if you don't own SP little knight, buy Rindbrumm (along with Mirrorjade and Sprind) and put an Incredible Ecclesia Albaz line into your deck along with Fenrir.
This shit is gonna carry me through this format, lol. Albaz off of Ecclesia may as well be SP at home. If necessary, you can also include Alba-Lenatus to get over Tenpai.
No clear direction is a good point, as a time wizard player i appreciate the edison/ tengu reprints but even then they didnt reprint the more valuable cards ( trident dragion, magical Android, frogs, iron chain dragon, ETC ETC). Not a slam dunk set especially for the price.
Didn't even know they were going to announce the set contents without the homie Cali saying something about it last week. Konami keeps hearing the youngins in the game today saying "cope" and figured they'd get in on the cope train with this set. "They'll love having another shot at the Visas planets and MST, right? right?! Dragoons is still meta viable, right? right?!" This set is the text book definition of what happens when you want something too badly, and the one who has what you want just throws you whatever they want you to have with the name of that thing on it and expect you to just be happy that you got that. Just buy the singles.

Ocg makes a great product, tcg imports that set and it makes people happy.
Tcg then decides to do the set again and does it in the mist mid-tacular way possible.
They could have printed stuff like Necrovalley, Snatch Steal, Thunder Dragon Colossus, Diviner, the Bystials, the Dragon Rulers, Destiny Hero Malicious and so many others :(
The printing was already done by the time banlist was out. To be realistic, i don't think cards on banlists are ever considered for reprints while on them and cards are generally taken off as a means to test how they affect the game after enough time has passed.
You summed up my thoughts exactly. The ONLY card I need is Unchained Rage. Anything else would be a rarity bump. But a QCR Cyclone gets negated just as a Super Cyclone does, soooo... 🤷🏾♂️
Good luck. I watched 5 boxes get opened with only 1 secret rare copy of rage getting opened. Based on the pulls I saw there's definitely some printed less than others.

I think America got scammed because Europe is getting a box of 24 packs with 9 cards per pack so we are actually getting more cards. I also think the release of this set shows how this community can never be happy. The fact Konami even did a second rarity collection is amazing, the fact it has good reprints is amazing, maybe not perfect, but are you really trying to compare this set to arguably the best set ever made in Rarity collection 1. This set is still the best of the year so far. People really can never be happy.
I think a big piece to this you’re missing is how expensive this set is $29.99 in stores for 3 pack bundles.

yeah, the only reason why rarity collection 1 was a good set is because it was a OCG product brought into the TCG (minus Maxx c) and when they anonced rarity collection that quick after, I knew it would be a bad set, but i feel like this is terrible
200 for a box what a blessing magic the gathering is nearing 300 to 400 for any of their play boosters these companies don't make it easy at least let me have a Lil Crack before you take all my money and then your guaranteed two great cards in the whole box lol
Overall it isn't the worst set ever, but it feels like a cheap cash grab in comparison to the first one. Still going to buy the supers of the cards I need, but glad I didn't pre-order a box.

It's an average product wearing the skin of a better set, and hiking the price is how konami gets its victims.

It is not that bad, at the end of the day everyone wants cheaper versions of staple extra deck cards and Edison Format deserves some love too, I'd say RC2 is 7.5/10.

Yea this set is cheeks. Crossout and some of the hand traps are good, but thats it. Everything else is pretty pointless.
Really disappointed with the reprints in this set. Megatin will be a nightmare they either leave out cards or there will be so many chase cards that it wont change the current prices by a lot. Rip budget players

I enjoyed the preview. As someone who has a Dark Magician deck and a Blue Eyes deck, I was very happy to see some of these reprints. My Buster Blader deck already has S:P and Appollousa but I needed extra for my other decks. I needed the Crossouts and I need more hand traps. I was pleased with the reprints and I’m definitely going to buy packs every paycheck. There’s a lot I need in this set. I’m happy with what I saw. Not much I can snag for my Branded deck but I’m happy with what we got. I can’t complain.
On the bright side, MST now has a printing in every rarity in the game now and is the only card to have such

Is the set mid? Yes. Does it mean people need to be bashing Konami, basically cussing them out and basically saying to boycott this set? No. This set serves a purpose of getting older staples for past formats in higher rarities they didn’t have. Could they have included a lot more (Fenrir, other Visas Starfrost lore cards, Trident, etc)? Yes. Doesn’t mean we have to bash them as hard as people are on social media for it

They knew a lot of players were expecting something very different, gave the set this price and try to sell it as the top stuff of the year. Basically an asshole move shitting on their supporters. This set feels like a more expensive Maxomum Gold El Dorado set as in with few exceptions the best crads are the I:P, and Accescode and you can get them there for much cheaper imo. I know some mad people disslike gold rares but...I mean that's stupid. Appolousa and Visas planets are not enough for me sorry. Considering I play not what's strong per ce but what I like and want to play...I have like 2-3 cards from this set that I want. Singles all the way.

Rarity Collection 2 SUCKS, compared to Rarity Collection 1. Yes, there are good reprints such as Accesscode, Crossout, Guardian Chimera, Garura, Magicians' Souls, Phantazmay, Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon, Unchained Soul of Rage and Wraithsoth,
But why so many GARBAGE Reprints? They have months and months to HALF a year of heads up from the New OCG card prints to the cards that they released from the TCG Banlist (back in January). Yet we still ended up with this mediocre set? This set is just a cash grab. Gonna be funny to see the stats of those who pulled out their pre-orders. LMAO
The thing about rarity collection 2 is that people who wanted reprints from the set aren't satisfied nor are people looking for rarity bumps because there's too much filler kicking out cards that were far more necessary.

Yep...you said it man, it is a scam....But only for the people who bought it presale, and the stores who are forced to buy konami products (which unfortunately are many)....For us, we can easily skip this one, or maybe even try your luck to get an QCR Access...But this is not RC1 quality, and its DEFINITELY not worth it paying the double of what we paid for RC1..
Dude you need like a fact checker or something before you make these videos. You’re not getting fewer cards with RA02, that’s just misinformation. You get 9 cards per pack and 18 packs per box, so that’s 162 cards. RA01 had 5 cards per pack and 24 packs per box, which is 109 cards per box. You get 53 more cards for about $35 more. You have a large audience and they take you at face value, and you have a responsibility to give correct information. All this does is get players upset at Konami for something that *isn’t even true.*
I partially agree, but partially disagree. Full disclosure, I did pre-order like a day before the setlist was released so bias is there. Overall, I think it all comes down to accessibility and affordability.
As far as agreeing, I do think that there were some cards that could have used a reprint for accessibility. I think Trident Dragion was a perfect example of a card that is seeing play, but is hard to find and caused price jumps. 1st movement solo as well, but it essentially in the same state as Abomination's prison. Personally, I thought Diviner was a shoe-in.
I do think that some of that is due to TCG just being mismanaged. It's a pet theory, but I think that whoever determines TCG rarities knows they have to do it quickly to keep the sets only a few months behind OCG, so they look at the first 1-2 weeks of results in OCG, then use that to determine the TCG rarity. Since Tenpai took a couple weeks before it surprised people, they were already slated to be lower rarity. Assuming that baseless conjecture, TCG probably didn't realize that people wanted Trident Dragion before they started making the set. Because, come on, Trident would help sell boxes, and they can't make money off it being sold on the secondary market; why would they purposefully pass on free money?
As far as disagreeing, if you've been playing yugioh for a while, I think you might underestimate how expensive this game is. It's kind of ridiculous to have people shell out $20+ for accesscode, for example, just to play their rogue deck. Bringing down the cost for many of these cards is objectively a good thing. Would it have been nice to see something like S:P.? of course, but thinking S:P, Wanted, or Imsety would have been in this set seems like HEAVY copium. Fenrir would probably have been the most likely thing, IMO.
Pros:
They do give you more cards (RC1 had 5 cards per pack and 24 packs per box so 120 cards and RC2 is 9 cards per pack with 18 packs per box so 162)
It has some very good cards such as Cross Designator and World Slayer
It has most of the hand traps
The different rarities are going to make the cards go down in price
Cons:
ALOT of the cards are absolute ass
It doesn’t have enough staples
Price is absurd because of the hype
Has to many archetypes in it instead of generally good cards
Verdict:
I would buy it because the amount of good cards can be purchased on the cheap and if you buy a box you are mostly wasting your money on a glorified bulk pile.
Like, is it bad if konami would say "WE DID WRONG, LET'S BRING MORE OF WHAT YOU WANT IN THE SET". Wouldn't that make konami more likable to either the customers AND their wallets???
The part that kills me the most about no Trident (not even as a tenpai player in the current format who doesnt have one) is the people defending it. Ive seen plenty of arguments like, "Konami already had the set planned before tenpai's popularity" but completely disregard that LEDE's pool was likely planned out before Rarity 2's (seeing as LEDE was announced in the OCG in September of 2023, 2 full months before Rarity 1 dropped). Konami knew what they were doing by hyping up Tenapi as Trident support and not making it more accessible to players in an upcoming reprint set after its release.
Am I mad about this set? Not really, I'm glad to get more staples that will be easily affordable to new and returning players like myself who missed them originally (like crossout and accesscode)
These RC picks were genuinely out of touch. I know Edison format's a thing, but choices could've been better (Fenrir, Diviner, Trident, Thrust, etc.) Some singles are good so I'll be getting those but that's about it. Guess all the new players who had trouble getting into the game will be happy to have MST, Twin Twisters, and Solemn Warning, finally be accessible to them after being worth tons /s
well lets see after rarity one they waiting for a bout 6months and ban baronne and savage why?because they went from 10-60bucks a copy for original and secondary printings to having 900 printings and flooded the game and legit EVERYONE had them
in rarity2 we get appollousa ip access codetalker and a few more REALLY good cards sooooooooooooooooooo 1-3ban lists from now guess whos getting ban?appollo ip and code talker because theres gonna be one in EVERY deck cuz theyll be dirt cheap
I was screaming in excitement when i saw that they're reprinting traptrix rafflesia. As a traptrix main, i am totally gonna get my hands on a qcr rafflesia. I was gonna get an ultimate rare, but nah i'm good with a qcr to show off at my locals

And not: Chaos Angel, Fenrir, Revolution Synchron, Clockwerk Night or Diviner? Hell even DAD could have deserved a spot here for the older formats, but MST?
I disagree with the Exosister thing at least for Magnifica. She was way too expensive and now i can finally afford one for Penny's. Yes this set doesn't hold a candle to RC1 but the reprints of Dragoon, Accescode, i:p, Chimera, Aluber were definitely needed and it really helps players that aren't willing to pay 10$ for a single. You can get those tactical try decks for less in the ocg.
Personally not interested in the set at all, but I’m not a player I just like to collect DM stuff. I like that they went back to the platinum secrets though
Now what I’m really excited for is mega tins. I genuinely think this years tin is going to be insane. I mean we’re looking at SP, chaos angel, dis pater, thrust and then ontop of that 50 QCSR of “sought after cards from iconic moments in yugioh history”. That makes me think DDS blue eyes
im happy i didnt order a case having a destinct feeling the TCG Rarity collection 2 would be a bad take of the OCG based RA1. This Set feels like a bad Battles of legends set without a theme. So much Bulk and only a few cards worth getting. The good thing singles are gonna be cheap for most cards except some of the QCRs but the price of sealed is not gonna make you happy like RA1.
But this could have been expected tbh.
