You know it’s going to be a professional video when you have the matching t shirt 👍lovely looking beer indeed beautiful colour very vibrant. I love pineapple and pretty keen to give it a go. Cheers 👍🍻
Need to brew with that yeast again and think more about the hops. Used Citra/Simcoe/Tango and don’t recall any Pineapple, however i did ferment at 22c. Will go higher next time 🍻🍻🍻🍻#abeardisforlifenotjustforchristmas
Cheers for the info, will have to give this yeast a go! I've used WHC Bond and LAX recently and was pleased with both the results. I've got a pack of Old English in the fridge to try as a freebie from the CAMRA comp recently as well. Malt Miller have 3 for 2 on WHC at the moment so may have to put an order in! 🍻
The tartness might be from its heritage if it comes from kviek You could also go for some classic pineapple combos like pine/orange using Ella or Amarillo then pine/passionfruit using Galaxy. That's where my brain is going!
Thank you for the heads up to its heritage. I had an idea when seeing its alcohol tolerance that it may be related. Got some Sultana and Erebus to try it with. Absolutely will be trying with the Vic Secret. Did a Belma and Vic before that was very pleasant.
It is an isolate derived from a kveik strain, I was not a fan of kveik myself previously but this and mango madness didn’t have the flavours that put me off other types of
I certanly appreciate your video and i would have loved it even more if you brewed a helles with it to describe to use more specificaly what the yeast does. Still im a fan of your work
Thanks I would have loved to have done a simple less hop forward beer to test this as well but I also wanted to make sure it was something I would want to drink a keg of! Appreciate the feedback though thanks 🍻👍🏻
Certainly looks like that might be the source, reproducing/rebranding might be a fairer way to describe it especially in this case as it is a dry version which nobody else has on the market (to my knowledge)
Looking forward to brewing this once the recipe kit is available at TMM.
Love the way you can dry hop at same time as pitching the yeast. 👍🍺

Good combos! Yeah I have had that from kveik before, possible that it may be lowering the pH a bit more than usual as well
Sounds like. It’d be a good match for vic secret which I thought was as pineapple as you could get!
Definitely!

No worries, WHC seem to be trying to avoid the term kveik on a lot of these new yeasts which are derived from those strains
The best part... "It´s really nice to be honest... 😆
Is this another Kveik strain? There is something off with those yeasts. Cant put my finger on it but not a fan. The beer looks great though 🍻
