Thank you for sharing your thoughts on Pentax. It is really nice to see folks here on YT sharing their passion for photography interactively. Stay safe sir. Subd. 😊🙏🏼
The film Pentax KX is a work of art. It looks like a camera should look. That 50-200mm tele zoom lens that you have is one of the most under rated tele zooms out there. I found that lens to be remarkable performing lens. Sharp with great color rendition. Off the subject here. In another video you talked about older Nikon cameras that take CF cards. I found an SD to CF card adapter on Amazon for $12 US and it works great. I can now take the SD card out of the adapter and plug it directly into my computer which seems to transfer data faster than using a CF card USB device to my computer.
Thanks for your comments Dominic. I didn't know that you could get an sd adaptor as you describe. It sounds like a good idea.I haven't used my zoom much. I might give it a try this weekend and the KX.cheers. Geoff

Nice comparison. I only own the analog KX. Still have to test it out. I acquired it recently. Do you keep all your old camera's? I tend to pass them on to people who aren't able to buy one. I always kind of regret it afterwards wanting to compare old camera's with newer ones. ;)
Thanks Haenzel. I am sure you will find the KX a great film camera. "Do you keep all your old camera's?" I have sold some I have regretted and sold some to enthusiasts. I tend to collect and also accumulate cameras. People give them to me from deceased estates and when I see a bargain I quite often buy it.I am teaching some community photography classes soon and for those that don't have cameras they will be able to use some of mine and I possibly might sell a couple then. Thanks for watching. Geoff
Ok you tricked me there. I was expecting a Hasselblad or something with digital/film backs. These types of cameras are the only that I can think of that do both. But a good recommendation with the KX . I've been looking at the K2 but the KX has a much better ASA dial location than the K2 .... Pentax has been a "going back in time" experience for me. I was a Nikon only shooter all the way up to digital with the D70. But then I got a couple of Canons before I discovered Pentax's K-5. That was such a handsome little devil I had to get it. And from there I went backward in time to the SFX and the Spotmatics. On my wanted list is the weird looking MZ-S and a manual K-mount. The KX may be the best choice here as my hands are too big for the smaller m, me etc.
Glad you like the video in spite of my "trick". I am glad you have discovered Pentax. I have reviewed my Pentax Mzs on this channel. It is a great camera.th-cam.com/video/5EjhRqMMCYI/w-d-xo.html cheers . geoff
The Sv mode on Pentax is Sensitivity Priority mode. We can set ISO and the aperture and shutter speed is decided by the camera meter.
Thanks Amogh. I did know that once but I need reminders. cheers Geoff
