Making someone feel important!
An approach to making friends and influencing others for the better. We read about people when they came into a room they light it up with their presence. Not many of us have such a personallity but even if we are an introvert we can practise the simple idea shared here.Look on each person as someone who needs encouragement and you can play your small part. And you don't need to have a social media account to do this. We all need to know we are loved and need encouragement.see the imaginary sign on people's forehead. "Make me feel important! "

Soothing Surf Southern Ocean Kangaroo Island

Imagine you are sleeping in a beach house at Hanson Bay on Kangaroo Island. This is the sound of the pounding sea that you might hear. Great to drift off to. This was recorded some time soon after the year 2000 started. It was filmed on a Canon XL1 Mini DV camera. Enjoy!

For years I have owned the Ricoh Auto Half 35mm half frame camera.I have never really used it and haven't yet completed the first film I loaded. It looks to me that the new Pentax P17 borrowed a lot from this camera. I hope to show some real samples not too far down the track. This is just a review of how the Ricoh camera works.

What's so artificial about Intelligence?
มุมมอง 262 หลายเดือนก่อน
It used to be considered in the past that a few individuals used to possibly know most of the world’s knowledge. Think of what knowledge Leonardo Da Vinci must have known in order to invent and create things a way ahead of everyone else. How people like Jules Verne with their science fiction and imagination could predict inventions like the submarine as in 20000 leagues under the sea. Now with ...

The *ist DS was also my first DSLR having moved across from the ME Super. Traded it in for a K-5 then moved up through each of the K-3 variants!
thanks ray a true pentax man. cheers geoff
hi geoff nice video! hope you recover from your surgery nicely. i loved listening to you talk and i was just thinking about this yesterday after i took a taxi ride. the driver addressed me by name and asked me about the air conditioning at the back but it took me by surprise and made me feel important! i realised how simple and effective it is and thought i'd want to try making more effort to address people by their name now
Thank you for sharing your knowledge Geoff, hope you upload more videos like this!
Thank you for your thoughts. Whenever I post with some Christian or spiritual content I am always of the belief if even there is only one person that gets help from what I say then it is worth doing.I trust it was timely for you. Geoff
wow such a quality and amazing photos ❤️🤩, I undermined the camera is like the old model but photos are amazing
Thank you. Photography is such an amazing hobby and cameras are a great invention. Old and new. Cheers. Geoff
My firsy DSLR. Still got it though i have upgraded to a K3-iii now. Camera's like this and the newer K10-D are a great choice for those on a low budget and produce great results. Newer models like the K5, K3 and the K1 are good choices for those looking to upgrade but not willing to sell bodyparts to buy the latest mirrorless flagships. The added bonus is the vast array of manual, 35mm film era and modern HD digital lenses
Thanks for your comments Martin. Pentax has done a lot for photography and I still have several pentax models film and digital. cheers geoff
Brilliant! I just got one from a friend who's moving. Now I need to figure out the film situation. Heh.
Good luck with your film search. cheers Geoff
For a compact 35mm rangefinder, try the PAL M4.
Thanks for the tip. I think you meant PAX M4. I looked it up. Looks like a nice camera. cheers geoff
What Kind of battery do I Need?
The camera takes 2 AA batteries.
@@pembridgehouse I bought the batteries but the camera is still saying low battery , do I need to charge the camera?
@@joyyasemota You cant charge the camera itself. The batteries you have may not be strong enough. The best batteries to use in digital cameras are rechargeable eneloop batteries.cheers Geoff
Where is this?
Oaklands wetlands in Adelaide. A nice spot. Cheers geoff.
@@pembridgehouse Thanks, still love Adelaide although I don't live there any more.
@@Mar--Mar well I guess you can still visit. I would not want to live anywhere else.
Lovely shots. Kangaroo Island is beautiful.
Surprised to hear a good familiar Aussie accent on the first click on the search for reviews of the C-150. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for passing by Geoff.
Have you sold the camera yet?
No not yet. I will be selling it within Australia. I haven't thoroughly tested it and reviewed it yet. thanks Geoff
For research purposes one can source the detailed catalogues published by manufacturers of cameras and accessories. The vintage photographs are superb!!

Didn't these have a plastic gear problem?
I can't answer that. Could have. Most cameras have a use by date or when things start to go wrong. I never had any problems with this camera. Thanks for stopping by. Geoff.
@@pembridgehouse Update: The Pentax forums say, The ones assembled in the Philippines, labeled "Pentax Corporation" and having a serial number starting 5 or 6 will have a Brass gear and will last much much longer than the plastic ones.
@@pembridgehouse not all of them have plastic mirror gears. Some MZ3 and MZ6 bodies came with factory brass gears. I have two of them.
@@ShutterKnack thanks for checking in. I always like to hear from a Pentax enthusiast. Cheers. Geoff
I just picked up the Nikon 1 J5 and When Zooming in the Aperture makes the screen darker. Depending what Camera Mode PASM its in by either using the two dials it will adjust brighter or darker. Cheers!
thanks for your comments Randall.Keep up the good work! Geoff

Thanks Elizabeth. Glad you joined the outing with me. Geoff.
Love the review. I didn't even know they made those
Thanks for watching and commenting.Yes a very interesting camera. cheers Geoff
I've got a 700D it's a great camera for snapping the kids or sunsets even street photography etc without having a million setting like on some of my Nikon D610 & D700 cameras... Cheers
Thanks nathan for stopping buy. It is a great uncomplicated camera.cheers Geoff
Hey, thanks for the Video! I have the same from my grandfather, can you tell me which kind of film is needed for this camera?
The camera uses standard 8mm film. Don’t get super 8 which will not fit in this camera. You will have to search online to get any. I am not sure if anyone still Makes it new. Thanks for watching.
a cheap small mirror behind the camera - for selfies (vid+pix) saves me several $$ dollars on pivoting screen !
It's a darling , I have one since 1987...
I have the same camera and also a XL2. Nice video.
Thanks for your comments. Yes a beautiful camera. I am fortunate I was able to get a few new tapes a couple of years ago. It’s like having an unexpired Kodachrome Film but I can still use them. Cheers. Geoff.
so sad to hear your button fell off, glad it can still work!
The only 35 format SLR that Pentax advertised as being pro was LX, even though it was not reliable enough and lacks AE-L and spot metering. MZ-S was advertised as semi-pro. The MZ-S plastic back door looks more fragile then SF1 and Z1 have, and the separate plastic battery grip for MZ-S - not compatible with other cameras from the MZ line, is made in China with even more fragile battery door, wey too tight space for the batteries, and has melting rubber pads on top in contact with the camera, that transform in to black goo. The rest are advertised only as advanced or entuziast models, including K2, DMD, KX motor, KX, MX, ME-Super, ME-F, SuperA, P5/50, SF1/X, SF1n/Xn, Z1, Z1p, Z5, MZ3, MZ6, and DSLRs also - about *istD Pentax even noted that is made for office use...Later ones are faster and some are much more weather resistant, but again not pro yet. SF10/7 has a big spot when using AE-L so weirdly is better then SF1/X/SF1n/Xn. Z20 altrough is much more reliable then Z1p, unfortunately lacks AE-L like Z10. The back button on Z20 is just for starting normal exp. comp. MZ-6 was more advanced, it has 1/4000s as MZ3 ( X sync and max true speed without the moving slit artifice is only up to 1/125s), it has HSS sync up to 1/4000s as MZ-S, but it has the worst Pentax viewfinder with only 0.70X @ 92% magnification like a eos 30, and that when even MZ-S 0.75X@ 92% is pretty crapy and with limited eye relief - with the Pentax viewfinder loupe and glasses is hard to see all the frame. K1 old and II has again stupid 0.70X @ 100% as F4. Maybe K1 III will have a decent viewfinder...
From this I am not sure you are a fan of pentax cameras. All cameras are not perfect but the brand has served me well over the years.Sounds like you have owned a few.cheers geoff
As luck would have it, this was my first camera. Given to me by my Grandfather. I lost it at my school leaving party.
That's a sad story.I trust you still continued your photographic journey.
@@pembridgehouse Of course I never told him I'd lost it. What I wouldn't do to see all the photos on it. Priceless!
