Gaz, what you are hearing is more than likely a residual type of haunting. It is a haunting that is not interacting with you, it is like a movie clip that just plays over and over. It is unnerving to hear, but it won’t hurt you. They are more than likely stuck in a loop of a sad part of their life. You are ok.
