'We all lost, there were no winners.' - That's a great summary of war right there. The only winners I guess are those getting rich off the soldiers' spilled blood.
For anyone out there or here, I'm just a civvie, but I'm willing.... more than willing to hear your stories and listen. I'm sorry for the loss of your families and just know that I love you.
My grandpa passed a few years back. I always tell people, "Im glad he's cremated. Wed have a drillbit coffin otherwise." He was a navy seal in Vietnam. My dad was an aircraft fuller, two uncles were air force (on from each side), and another is a retired Marine. I cannot serve for medical reasons, but i see so much behind the scenes. My grandpa taught me how to, "read bullshit" a loong while ago, and you're right. All i can say here, is as a civilian, cannot begin to understand what you went through, but i damn sure am always willing to help. Thank you, and all those who serve, and have served, for your service and sacrifice. And most importantly. Never forget.
Songs like this that bring the reality of war to the forefront are so impactful. There's a classic song here in Australia by the band Redgum called 'I Was Only 19' it honestly breaks me every time I hear it.
Words cannot express how grateful I am for the men and women who have served this country that we love. Words cannot express the mark that artists and songs like this one leave on my soul. Words cannot express how incredibly angry I am at our government and it's twisted leaders who have no foresight and no regard for human life. Words cannot express the absolute fear and helplessness I felt as I watched the two towers fall, sitting in home room as a senior in high school. Words cannot express the intense anger and rage I feel about almost every aspect of how everything has been handled since, most recently the disgusting betrayal and abandonment of people who need us, who TRUSTED us. I want to somehow let them know that unfortunately, the people are no longer the government, and the government is not for the people. There are no words to express how all of this AFFECTS MY SOUL. I won't go into how this came to be, but my passion and goal for past few years is to help the homeless, helping them step by step through every resource they can use. Most of the homeless suffer from some kind of mental illness, and it makes my heart hurt and fires a rage in me that so many are veterans. These incredible men and women should BE TAKEN CARE OF THE REST OF THEIR LIVES, including their families. These people have made their life into a sacrifice for the people that look down on them in the streets. To me, it is a major crime against the elite in our country. Lastly, words cannot express my gratitude for all our soldiers and their families, who have sacrificed more than most could imagine. Thank you, OldSkuleNerd (love it) for sharing so much, not only of these powerful songs, but also so much of yourself. I know that scars and memories and nightmares lived are not always easy to share. Thank you.
YT may have prevented this on 9/11, but that don't stop it from hitting ya right in the feels. Hard one to watch, but so worth the message in the music. Yeah I hate it too, but will still be sharing it.
I know I am late but damn that hit so hard. You are 100% right, we all loose, the only ones winning are the politicians, while our loved ones (on both sides) just hope and pray to make it home
This is important people, listen to I Prevail, listen to Old Skule. Listen hard damnit! It's not about your political opinion, its about life and death for a lot of people. We'd be better served solving real problems instead of creating new trivial ones amongst ourselves. My opinion, just saying. Thank you Old Skule.
My friends that went over either never came home, or never left. My dad is a 21 year vet. God bless to those who lost there life. OSN thank you for your service.
I was feeling you on this one, brother. My first 🇺🇲⚓ day was 4OCT93 and I didn't understand why my PO1 was throwing a 50 gal metal trashcan in my general direction, kind of the same way I have been feeling for the last few months.
Thank you for the Tribal explanation. I got deployed to the horn of africa. Peacekeeping mission, food deployment. Basically a followup to blackhawk down. Tribes run that country, not the government that we left there.
I was okay until I saw your reactions. I do not pretend to understand what you are feeling. War is just terrible to both sides. Why can’t we ever just learn to co-live with each other????? ❤️🤘🎸🇦🇺

And it'd been so since the beginning of time, man

That in itself is more than enough. I sincerely appreciate your empathy, thank you.

Brother, thank you for your service. The medics see some of the worst things imaginable.
I think you should check out Ice Nine Kills Assault and Batteries song. It's about Chucky, perfect for the Halloween season
Commodore Puppington is looking right dapper in the back, there. I don't know if that is his name, but it is most definitely his regal bearing.
Should do a reaction to from ashes to new bulletproof
As a father you will be able to relate to the message
Thank you for your service
