Ok i have the same issue and what i found out is that the power supply i was using is faulty. But with a zoom processor it works fine. So what i would suggest is to check the adaptor first try a new one or try using batteries first before getting into the electronics as the spare parts are difficult to find.
Firstly i removed the capacitor c50 only. Because the capacitor c89 & c91 not exist in my boss me25. After close it & try there still have that problem. At last i try to remove capacitor c25 & c56. Finally the problem solved! No random No flickering at all. Thanks for the comments in this channel.
yea for me also... it just worked after i've removed all those capacitors... if the potentiometer is changing values, the easiest way is just pop C25,C50,C56,C89 and C91

those caps has nothing to do with what happen to your potentiometer, since those were just provided to prevent false triggering of logic signals.check your potentio is if not broken or busted and look for broken or shorted pcb traces

check the fuse if its shorted,the also the input plug which also act as a switch...then make some voltage check on the main power capacitor,make sure theres voltage, if not then maybe a short on power supply circuit is present.

check your signal chain,its your amplifier reacting to the improper gain levels.the sound is being pickup up by your guitar and going back to the speaker of your guitar amplifier

same as mine. Since the release of Boss Me 70 the problem still same, the digit is changing itself.However I removed all the smd capacitors as stated or replace the new potentiometer. But if the capacitor is not removed it will happen again.better we remove it.
the cause of this is due to unbalance component grounding, since components like smd used to trigger sensors and digital controls need to be properly grounded to avoid false triggering issue.
pots can be order online, but those pots are very tough to break and im sure they are not that easily busted.so dont replace it yet,the issue is not on those pots

in that case, i think there are components on the board that are not working normally,or not having voltage, its hard to figure out cause you have to do a voltage checking one by one on each chip to trace which one is not functional...sometimes this problem are often cause by faulty on board voltage dividers or regulators.

you can follow the video, and do exactly what Ive done there. you will have same result as mine if there no other issue with you device aside from those busted coupling capacitors
sorry for late reply, the variation know is a Data encoder pot.not a common pot.so it this is busted,you can order online,take out the old data encoder pot and look for the code printed on the external case of the pot and search online or local store in your area. This knob is a bit expensive.
Is it normal for this pedal to buzz loudly, I'm trying to see if I can repair it from the motherboard but I can't seem to remove the motherboard from the metal frame, I have it the same way you do at 0:48 but I'm afraid to try and lift it off in case I snap the board. if the volume is down yet you still have the buzz, u need to carefully check the motherboard and look for defective components specially electrolytic capacitors and filter caps,most likely this is where the problem originated
another thing, these caps dont break easily, so consider also checking your settings and line up of parameters cause some cases these are the common issue...like to much gain before compression and other sort of similar process.Hope this help you.
another thing, dont be afraid to remove the board, just make sure that you remove the knot on every pots first and make sure the all screws are securely taken out.just lift it up while gently sliding it forward towards the direction of the bottom pedal.

yes it will have some effect but not that much since those caps are to make sure to filter surge and noise on the power

if you unsolder the caps it will still work since this are only for debouncing use.

try to check the setting of gain. or check the main filter capacitors for leak or defects.
Ganyan dn problema ng me25 ko. Buti nlng kuntento na ko sa mga tinimpla kong patches. Pero paayos ko na dn para makagawa pa ko ng ibang patches

check for under valued components. or check your power supply voltage,it could be running under lower voltage than whats needed by the chips.

technically its not normal to have a buzz,specially if its loud, check if the buzz is audible even if the volume knob is at zero
