    My femininity has boundaries. I am warm, patient, and nurturing to my husband when he is warm, compromising, and understanding. I will not let my husband abuse or mistreat me in the name of staying "sweet." I only tap into my masculine when I feel my feminine is at risk of being abused or taken advantage of. Being feminine does NOT mean being a fool. Thank you sis for the video

    I agree that high society doesn’t mean femininity, however I feel when we are on our feminine journey, learning from all different types of women and sources is important. I am middle class (financially) and will never be a part of high society, however I recently learned I’ve been holding a wine glass incorrectly for years, I’m 41. I didn’t know the stem was meant to be held, not the bowl of the glass. Confidence is key to our femininity and if we learn how to present ourselves with proper manners, self care, dining etiquette, slowing down, softening our voice, our apparel, our words, our smile and learning to dissolve arguments with emotional intelligence, we will arrive in our femininity full circle. Google, read, TH-cam, watch, listen and learn from every classy feminine woman you can find. You are on the top of my list, I don’t believe there’s a video of yours I haven’t watched. Thank you for sharing your wisdom!

      I will never be soft spoken. However, I want to implement some of the key aspects of femininity in my life. Not all of them. I still want to be myself because some people view femininity as a personality.

    I still struggle with my womanhood and femininity because when I was little, I was taught that I can not be “fast” like other girls. However, the other girls were decorating their rooms with girly items (I had posters of musicians on my walls). My niece was reading romantic novels at the age of 15 and when I was her age, I was forbidden to read that stuff. I am still very intimidated by women that are feminine and growing in their womanhood and I wish I was more like that. I have been on this feminine journey for 2 years…and I just turn 40. I still feel like that hurt little girl that is hiding from the world. I do dress femininely and I did as little girl/teenager. I still feel so immature in comparison to other women. I just want to flourish and grow in my femininity and womanhood. Thank you Dr Michelle for this video I needed this❤️

      Some emotionally abusive or emotionally unintelligent men strip women of femininity. Their intuition, which is a huge part of divine feminity, is diminished by gaslighting far too often. Many men, raised with misogynistic and patriarchal beliefs do not want us to have the wisdom and strength we have as feminine women. If you don’t have a respectful loving husband, it will be hard not to argue. He must love you and that’s his responsibility

    I just realized how I lost some my feminine energy. As a teenager, I was so feminine and sexy. Men would gawk at me. I hated it. It pushed me to walk out of my femininity and into my masculinity to be seen as one of the guys. This is one reason i do not smile at men. I feel "fast" and traumatized, they will see my smile as a reason to approach me inappropriately. Then add on being the oldest child to a single mother. I was the protector and savior. Now I am struggling to walking in my natural femininity again.

    • @misspriss2482
      @misspriss2482 3 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      You and I sound like we've had similar journeys. I developed early and got a lot of attention from boys and men. This made me uncomfortable. I deliberately gained weight and dressed sloppily as a way to "hide" and it worked. I was the middle child of a single mother, but I too was the protector and savior. Now I'm in my 40's and I'm just learning how to allow myself to be soft and vulnerable again. I also dress more feminine now and take more effort with my hair. It's a process, but I'm getting there.

I'm raising a daughter now at 24 and I'm so scared tbh as well as excited because I know ultimately, you can't walk the wrong way when walking with God. But connecting as women to teach each other and learn from each other is pivotal I think in healing this type of discomfort and I hope we can connect if you'd like! Does your husband support and nurture your feminine with a healthy masculinity?? If his masculinity is toxic, will power won’t be enough. He has to cultivate this environment where you can lean into being feminine

    • @imperfection3295
      @imperfection3295 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@kyaunam it’s interesting you brought this up because I have felt uninspired to be feminine when I’m with him. Although he tells me that he would like to see me be more feminine, it just does not come out of me. Something that is a big factor is the way I dress. I used to dress really feminine but my husband started to have an issue with what I wore and how other men looked at me. So I had to change the way I dress for him and that makes me feel like I can’t be me.

    • @FM-zg5hz
      @FM-zg5hz 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@imperfection3295 This means your husband is insecure and not grounded in his masculinity. He is lacking masculine confidence and that’s why he tried to change your wardrobe. A true masculine man wouldn’t care if other men are looking at you because he is confident in himself. Your previous comment about arguing makes more sense now. Your husband is not inspiring you to be feminine and his lack of masculinity can slowly turn into resentment and bickering. If he doesn’t tap into his masculinity you will slowly lose respect for him and that can cause more and more arguing. It won’t matter how feminine you are being if your husband is not playing the masculine role. Two feminine energies in a relationship/marriage will eventually cause a lot of disagreements and butting heads. Best of luck through your marriage.

      @@FM-zg5hz This is exactly it. I felt so much resentment because of this. It’s such a turn off seeing that he is insecure when he is bothered by other men. I felt like I was going crazy at one point. It’s refreshing when someone else can also see my point of view. Thank you so much

    I love your videos. You teach in a very kind way. In a way that doesn't make me feel like I failed at being a woman. I am Autistic. So learning new skills and especially social skills is so hard. But your videos are helping me.
    I did want to ask. Can hobbies be feminine? I love art and drawing. Painting. Also sewing and making costumes. All of which seem very feminine and peaceful
    I'm also a martial artist and I'm learning to be strong/coordinated and also self defense for when I'm alone and my fiance deploys. It seems very masculine but the ability to stand strong and defend myself If someone tries to hurt me brings me comfort and peace because I can go anywhere and feel like I am safe and secure.
    Thank you again Dr.

      @hazele.2861 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Yes , creativity is a feminine trait so all the hobbies you listed are definitely feminine and can absolutely help you feel more in touch with your womanhood. Martial arts is great as well, it encompasses a masculine trait and women are supposed to have masculine traits as well (ambition, leadership, etc.). Especially since you’ve connected it to your womanhood and you’ve acknowledged that it allows you to feel safer as you embrace your femininity, I definitely encourage you to continue what you’re doing. I would recommend after the martial arts classes, try doing something more feminine related after , like coming home and taking a nice relaxing bath and lighting candles and journaling or something!

      I’m autistic as well! These videos are a great start, but ultimately I always think “okay, so how can I do it in my own way?” I found that just being myself (I’m kinda childlike) really attracts people! I’m always giggling and smiling. I have certain stims that I do (I mask some of them tho) that people find charming and quirky. Being naturally curious and willing to learn is such a great trait we have! Especially if it comes to our special interests. I also draw, paint, play piano, writing, reading, fashion, baking, etc. All of my hobbies are creative and feminine, people love it and so do I :) And sometimes I have tics (maybe that’s the adhd in me as well) and my current boyfriend says he finds them adorable. He says I make him feel like a teenager again lol (even tho he’s only 23, but he has such a old soul and act like an old man. That’s actually one of my nicknames for him lol).
      Social cues are tricky, but I learned people are drawn to me because they think I am care-free and flowy (when in reality, idk what the heck is going on lol). It’s a breath of fresh air and certainly makes you stand out because our brain works so much differently than others. People are drawn to our uniqueness. I used to try to blend in when I was younger, and it backfired. So instead, I decided to standout as much as possible and embrace my autism. It’s okay that I do things differently than others, we bring something new to everyone’s routine (routine can be boring for most.) We’re intriguing and people want to learn more about us.
      While there are tons of downsides (like having to make eye contact while speaking with someone, for example), we can still take advantage of being autistic and use that to enhance our femininity :)

    Thank you so much for being obedient. There's so much information out there by women who are walking in the wisdom of the world... Now, while some of what they say is relevant and applicable, I have to sift through their content to get the good out of it but in the process I get to consume some junk too which I don't like.
    What I want is the wisdom of God and not manipulation tactics...
    Jesus said be wise as serpents yet gentle as doves. So yes it's important to hear what those women have to say too but our motives must never be to harm anyone... Plus, God is the one who works things out in our favor.
    You're a light, Sis, a very bright light!
    God bless you!
    I appreciate what you do so so much.
    Thank you!!!

    Wonderful video with very clear and informative explanations. I have been on my feminine journey for a little over a year now and rely on Dr. Michelle's knowledge as guidance on this journey. I am still messy in my environment and get frustrated with myself, so it's very encouraging to know that its ok to know that the phase of my life I'm in makes this more challenging and its ok. I do have such a full plate and that its so important for me to take that into consideration on my journey.

    This video just taught me that I’m not feminine 😫
    I’m not creative. I’m naturally logical and straight to the point and have a hard time thinking out of the box.
    I’m not warm. This is situational. I’m currently very busy and the first thing that goes when I’m overwhelmed is my warmth. The only one who gets my warmth is my husband.
    I’m clean-ish but only because I hire a cleaning service. I have a 1 year old so that’s not a priority.
    I don’t move in a feminine way. I am currently pregnant so I just waddle.
    Etc etc. There’s a lot to work on.

    Hi Dr. Michelle. I appreciate the fact that that you enlightening our fellow women out here to be confident and embrace their femininity because many women don't realize their potential in expressing their femininity and be happy. And by the way you look smart and beautiful as always😀.

    Warmth doest come naturally with me. People have called me cold, intimidating, and standoffish. Can you make a video on how to develop warmth?
    I love and play sports. I never done dance or even took interest in it. Are there other things that I can do to be more flowy?

    • @drmichelledaf

      Yes, I can. Dance is the best way to do this and there are a variety of dances throughout many cultures that you may fancy once you do research. Try doing fitness with hula hoop.

    i have thought of not leavening a comment as some may see me as sinful, (been on a downhill moment for a long time)
    just getting by, but thanks to the Getting ahead program getting things back on track, and it can not be from nowhere
    has to be that is was meant to happen this way things are just falling in to place well a little hitch here or there
    BUT mostly for the good and ALL good thing come from The Lord
    now do not know what or how i fit, just i was off , not a "off the shelf" woman but have been this way for as long as i can recall
    and trying to be the best me that i can be, why i look at videos like this one want to be a whole person
    in other words not just wanting to be, more of living as who i feel i am need to be and find someone to love me but want to do it it in the proper way so thank you so very much

    @13:55 here's a different perspective that is actually a true fact; not everyone with "clean" skin has clean skin. Here's what I mean and no offense in how I am gonna explain it, some people never ever wash their face, or just once in a while, some even put on make up. They get no acne, no blemishes, so uou say they have good hygiene and clean skin.
    Whereas, some go through vigorous face care regimens daily, and some even twice a day. These people wash, tone, moisturize, some even drink a lot of water, but still get acne and/or blemishes. This can be based on hormones, family genetics, severe stress, etc.
    So when people deem and categorize people by clean skin, then it's like they are putting the others in a dirty skin or poor hygiene bracket which is usually fully deceptive, aka looks are deceiving. Lotsa people have "clean" skin cause they have tough skin, it's not sensitive, it's always keeping its form no matter what germs are on it. The best word would be clear skin, or perfect complexion cause then it is a true reflection of reality, and not basing it on cleanliness.
    P.s. I have been enjoying your channel, I just found it, I use it as a Netflix series aka binge watching you cause you are elegant, feminine, intelligent, informative, etc. 😊😊❤️❤️

    This video is so helpful. I just found your channel. New subbie! Can you delve into shifting into the feminine during marriage? How to do it, how the dynamic of the relationship may change, problems & benefits that may come up, etc? I have trouble resting into my feminine because I have played to my masculine side a lot in our marriage and I believe he is comfortable with that. But I am tired. I am not sure that he will rise to the occasion as leader but I like to hope that if I shift, so will he.

    That part about helping men is what I would love more info about. I’m unfortunately masculine in that regard, feeling lost not knowing my dreams. I was recently in love with a wonderful man and it woke me up to how much more feminine I wanted to be. I no longer care about being boss mode, but I realize I have a long way to go to help a man like that in his success and being his supporter. Makes me sad I wasted years trying to live like what I now see as manly. Dance also helped me see this. Being a follower is an art unto itself. I’d love a video on if it’s possible to work and be feminine because my job makes me feel manly.

    Everything was good, except for the generalizations about men and women. It is not necessary to see women as not as physically strong as men, but instead our physical strength is distributed differently. The pelvic floor muscles, for example, are incredibly strong.

    • @misspriss2482
      @misspriss2482 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Yes, but overall, we generally aren't as physically strong as men though. If the average man were to grab the average woman's arm intently, she isn't going anywhere. That's all that she was getting at. There's nothing wrong with that either. A hand can't do what an eye can because they have different purposes, but both are equally important.
