My mom and my grandma were not girly girls. My mom didn't want certain ppl around me if she thought they would spoil me. Very controlling and conservative and religious, no shaving. A cycle I'm breaking
@@dominique4432 my mom and grandma are not girly girls either, my grandma though is very clean and she’s a homemaker so she passed certain of those traits to me. But I’m learning most of the stuff by myself.

Because it takes time management and with work, kids, housework, cooking, spending time with your husband, God where in the day is the time oh and maybe get close to 8 hours of sleep.

I need this, I grow up with a single Mom so I grew up seeing a woman being the strong provider my whole life .
So it’s hard to tap in to my feminine self.
God has been revealed & reminding me I’m a woman & need to be my Devine feminine self.

Girl, call me out. I have been so masculine for soooo long. I look feminine, long hair, long lashes attractive clothing-- I've gotten plenty of attention over the years, married young-- but the moment I open my mouth, I get into trouble. I know that at least 50% of the time our disagreements escalate because I become dominant and overbearing instead of encouraging and listening. Geez. I feel like I have a lot of work to do. Love that you share the Lord too! That's definitely how we've made it 12 years together!
I can totally relate!!! I’m newly married since March 2021 and it’s been a struggle because I’m a Marine and a Soldier raised by a single mom and I was a single mom myself before I got married so it’s been a struggle learning how to be more feminine now instead of dominant and masculine all of the time. 😩

I've been married for almost 16yrs. I got married at 17 and had no idea what I was doing and neither did he. Since January I've been learning to step more into my femininity. This has had a positive impact on my marriage.

This was my experience so many jealous friends and even family tried to sabotage my marriage don't let them.

You have helped me so very much. As a wife of 33yrs I’ve made so many mistakes in this area. I take care of my body, but have carried so many masculine mindsets. I had to learn to be his cheerleader even when he was out of work for the past 3 yrs. I’m really tapping into my feminine influence and softening, I can see how it changes how my husband responds. You are doing AMAZING WORK. Thank you so much for all you’ve done for me.

This is all so true and works! When I started making changes in myself, my husband told me his biggest regret was not marrying me sooner. 💕 it’s not easy especially after having 4 kids under the age of 6, but it is possible ladies!

I consider myself blessed and provilege to have found your channel. I have been wondering for years what I was missing in my marriage. My husband kind told me but he never used the word "femininity" I have read book about how to be a submissive wife but always felt like I was putting myself under him, but with "femininity" I feel empowered, I feel smart, I feel in control without showing it. I have started my journey just a few weeks ago and I can already see the difference, even with my children.
I’m so mindblown by everything. I honestly am 27 and I’ve never heard anyone say anything like this. We as women are groomed to be masculine which is why we feel so out of balance; that’s not how we were designed
I've been married for twelve years and since I have been working on embracing my feminine side our marriage has gotten so much better.

I remember people used to ask me why am I always “dressed up” when I just put on clothes that weren’t sweats and actually did my hair and make up. I knew I was doing something right. Lol I’m single but this will definitely help both single and married women. 🌷😊
Thanks for this video love. Sometimes I think culturally, a lot of black women are taught that being feminine is being extra, and only look presentable ‘to go out’. My mother is beautiful naturally but doesn’t do her nails , and is very simple at home (bonnet on , etc). A part of me wishes I was trained by a more feminine energy. I recently looked at girls I know who married NBA players, and successful men and their moms are just like them! Ultra feminine, fresh manicure even in their 50s and 60’s chilling at home. I knew right away, it is generational practices of how to be a feminine wife passed down. My Caribbean descent family makes me feel guilty or asks ‘where I’m going’ when dressed up, my husband also says I don’t need to do ‘all that at home I love you either way’, but this journey is for me, as much as it is for our marriage. Ma'am 🙌🏽 This channel is absolutely everything. I'm actually even emotional because I had been praying to God for so long to give me some guidance on femininity and how to be a woman. I felt so lost, like I needed motherly or big sister type of guidance. I am so grateful for this channel. Thank you Dr Michelle. Just speaking for myself. Learning to look nice at home has been a process. With kids, working from home, upkeep of the house and cooking its a lot.I think it does require work and it would be easier if there was some form of help. My mom stayed with me for 2 weeks and I was able to get my nails done, hair done, and new perfume. But the response from him does make me want to find a way to put more effort. Even if that means hiring help in the future, which is why I'm hear. A lot of what you said was hard to here but thank you for sharing it so gracefully

I was so girly before I had children. I can never get myself together because Im constantly with them, my husband says he doesnt care about that stuff but I feel really bad that I cant look how I used to on a daily basis.
I feel like this is one of the many normal seasons in marriage, not something for you to feel ashamed of. Maybe start with date nights where you get a trusted babysitter (so you can get ready uninterrupted) and take hours to slowly get ready, dress up, & go out, stay at a hotel or even do something cute at home! My parents have been married for 35 years & teach me about seasons all the time. Do your best with what your life is giving you right now, take baby steps! Perhaps take on this mindset “I don’t need to be who I was, I need to be a better version of who I am now”. This will take the pressure off and getting into your femininity as a mom will feel more attainable. Hope this helps ❤️
That's understandable love. Just do your best, your kids will grow up and you can return to what you used to do. As long as you are clean and feminine in your behavior, that is most significant in this season.

Thank you for your thoughtfulness and sharing your growth. I’m married for 17 years and I had to learn that it’s okay to be feminine. My mom was the bread winner and she alway made sure my dad new that. So I’m learning to embrace the feminine side of me still.

I see a lot people comparing these videos to Kevin Samuels. But I do think that it is important to point out that Dr. Michelle teaches femininity in an encouraging and uplifting way. And as well she doesn’t completely bash the ideals of the modern woman. She recognizes why women have become more masculine is simply spreading knowledge and awareness to this issue. She even previously states that you can be a “boss babe” and still be submissive and feminine. Kevin Samuels, although stating that he is too trying to help and making SOME compelling points, gets an odd kick out of shaming and bringing down the modern woman completely while doing so... my opinion.
I agree with you completely. My mother is a full time stay a home wife & mother, has her own business, & still does a great job. In fact, she taught me that having my own as a woman makes it easier to give to my man because I wont feel resentful about it, I’ll feel empowered.

Thank you. I look forward to the rest of the videos. Through the years of my own marriage and others, I have noticed that many men get downhearted when their wife doesn’t listen to them. If you want to boost your mans self-esteem listen to him, his fears, desires and dreams. This shows him that he is worth your time, you are there for him. Everyone wants to be heard. And in turn he will offer you the same. To listen to someone is to truly see them.

I have been feeling so depressed & unmotivated lately. I've been neglecting self-care- nails not taken care of, I have high testosterone so fingers, arms, & legs were super hairy as I just couldn't deal with waxing everything. I take care of my place nicely & am decently kind, however with my depressed mood I've been less than friendly & have been very negative & complaining. God showed me your videos today & you are so warm, so kind, & so feminine, that you have given me so much hope & motivation to take care of my appearance, to take pride in my appearance (not in a sinful way). I have been completely lacking purpose recently & your channel has made me realize it's because I'm not living as who God intended me to be. God didn't intend for me to neglect caring for myself, to be angry, sad, & lacking purpose. God created me, a woman, in His perfect image & I can only live up to my potential by embodying femininity, not masculinity, which the latter is what I've resonated with for so long due to how I grew up. Masculinity feels so unnatural, unpleasant, uncomfortable for the most part. God created men & women in His image & when we are living according to His will, I believe we will be most at peace. Well if He intended for us to be masculine, He wouldn't created us as males! Thank you for your channel! Update: I just watched the whole video and YES YES YES A TRILLION TIMES YES 🙌🏽 ladies take this information as GOLD because it is. This is the difference between a joyful marriage, the way GOD intended it to be, and what is commonly televised or portrayed (marriage = arguments, no sex, constant complaining about the husband) I could have avoided many many arguments with my husband in the beginning if I knew this prior so AMEN AMEN 😭

I’m not sure if you’d be interested but I think that you and Kevin Samuels would break the internet if you two were to collaborate. He speaks about how modern women aren’t feminine anymore. A lot of women do disagree with his talking points but hearing it come from a woman may help!

This is perfect timing. I just bought the book “The Excellent Wife” on a trip to Boise for my friend’s wedding. I was already eyeballing the book because of an account I follow on Instagram. When I saw it at the church branch in Boise (the church originally started in SoCal), I had to get it!!

It's funny to think about but the Bible teaches us how to be feminine wives and does so in detail. We just have to read, agree and obey. When I really understood God's design, I realized Women had it the easiest in the relationship. I have worked hard my whole life. It is so amazing to find rest in the house of a husband (Ruth 1:9). I could start dropping so many verses but encourage you to do a video on the Bible, Feminity, and Marriage.

Earlier this year I started dressing up and it caught him off guard at first lol and he really thought I was out with another man but after some reassurance and maybe him popping up at the house during his lunch break a couple times he knows that I just want to look good for my man when he comes home. He was always good to me but he definitely treats me better than good now
I love your femininity! I'm also very feminie, always caring about how i look, because i deserve it. I used to be tom boyish but when i met God i realized how beautiful i am as a woman! And that i should sherish myself more!
