@@mt2oo8 I doubt that, from originally trying to play Fortnite in the alpha stages it was incredibly hard to get in because a lot of people wanted in. I thankfully did get in, I know the game wouldn't have the numbers like it does today but it would probably have a bigger fanbase than that. Some of the Alpha players still play it to this day even with its abandonment (Keep in mind STW was meant to be free and *probably* would've if not for BR)
Fortnite save the world is so slept on. It used to be so fun back then.
😂
Mr. Talida is great for letting you use this video props to him
it feels like PVE makes more sense now.. even if most didnt play it it was a small throwback to the original concept
I like how they used the gears of war crosshair and ammo/gun ui
Thanks for this precious memories ❤
It seems that they take this old concept and put it on Fortnite new collaboration with LEGO. I got the same feeling when playing LEGO Survival mode. The atmosphere and everything. Just my 2 cents opinion.
Precisely! Besides the absence of the horror part and the building system being completely different to BR, STW and Creative.
imagine sweats cranking 90s like this lmao 💀
now THIS is a real OG
I can imagine in some alternate universe this is the Fortnite we got and the 2011 version is the one we have today
In 2011 fortnite looked really creative and new, but I think they knew they couldn’t compete with black ops zombies and opted to develop battle royale instead.
This was before the battle royale as a genre existed in mainstream. It still launched as "Save the World" and Battle Royale was meant to be a side thing... you know how that turned out.
This makes me feel like playing a survival game
Yooooo and we basically went back to that movement 💀
Why is no one talking about all the gears noise assets and effects their using all this fortnite man to think this was going on during the gears 3 launch and life cycle is insane
And now you can have goku And Venom have a build off while darth vader and peter griffin have a sniper war
I saw a pc ad for fortnite alpha before they had even thought about battle royale. It was marketed as a zombie survivor.
Really wish Save The World wouldve stayed the main focus, i still love that mode
did you play in the alphas? if you did did you save the builds?
Kinda crazy you can still remnants of gears of war in the crosshairs shape and the gun ui very reminiscent of the magnum from gears
Damn its already 2012? Time flies bro
imagina isso em 2011 rodando no PS3 e também no Xbox 360 será massa
Que nada, so tinha pra pc
será bom mesmo

The nighttime ambiance caught me off guard theres seriously voices saying "bleed" and crap thats so creepy but goofy at the same time someone should remake this mode using fortnites creator tools this was what I thought save the world was originally gonna be like when I first played it
Hilarious that is started out as a 7 days to die kinda game where you would’ve been making forts and protecting it against zombies to the massive battle Royale it is now. As an og myself (started season 2 🤓) I have countless good memories.
Even in this version the character wants to run more than the new running animation in the game
Fortnite : Time to be a zombie game.
*12 years later*
Peter Griffin : Holy crap I'm in Fortnite! This is gonna be so epic!
Only true OG's remember this 😥
damn back when fortnite was supposed to be an actual survival game. would have loved to see it in a real survival form. unfortunately lego is probobly as far as well get
Would be cool to see someone recreate this in Creative although I don't think it would be allowed.
Why wouldn't it be allowed? if its copyright. There are many copyrighted creative worlds like fnaf
@@kerchqWell considering it's an old form of Fortnite that may be confidential I don't think it would be allowed. Like how you aren't allowed to recreate chapter 2 maps and onward.
idc im gonna try to remake it in creative@@retrobat1631
Epic games should focus on making another zombie or survival game like this
They are doing it with the Lego collab😊
@@avalonussy a Lego Fortnite game? I don’t think adults would play that too much
@@grodey3985 Fortnite player base isn’t even adults, it ranges from 7 - 16 ( apart from TH-camrs )
@@grodey3985 and it is also an open world game mode, they are making a racing one, open world and a rythm gamemode in ONE season
@@grodey3985 this aged horribly, beat Fortnite og peak play base by 300k ( the day Fortnite Lego released it had 2.5m concurrent players )
This game would never have lasted if it stayed this way.
The reload sound from gears of war❤️
my friend nerve loves this version of the game
bro the music sounds so good!
i love the sound of the ambiance its really good
It looks actually really polished for what it was at the time
13 years and the stw minimap still doesnt show the world
Wdym?
@@cheerful_crop_circle minimap doesnt show the actual map
it kind of looks like dungeon defenders but introducing a new era to tower defense
😂
This version of fortnite kinda reminds of unturned/dayz
Can’t believe THIS game turned into a cosplay convention with guns
kinda wish I had gotten to play this version
i feel like im about to die watching this... LOL
We going back home boys
Thank you so much for sharing this video 😃👍
The stage 1 wood building pieces looks awesome.
I wish Epic Games would release an 18+ version of the game, with Husk ending up in pools of blood and bones when eliminated, and game being scary as h...
This the kinda stuff you'd see in a creepypasta, next thing you know herobrine is in the fog and the guy recording quits to menu. fr though, this is really cool to see
i actually love that wall building mini game
I really wish we got this Fortnite that was much creepier instead of the stupid dumbed down version we got today which panders too much to kids, reminds me of a similar thing that happened with Hello Neighbor
I think then Fortnite would have never gotten that popular, if they went with the creepy stw route but yeah i agree Fortnite now is kinda childish
I really like the death animations of the Husks on this one
this was supposed to be a rust or ark inspired game, with a different gameplay, wild to see tbh...
