That Darth Maul realization 🤣🤣🤣 Now that you've started the X-Men journey, one VERY important thing to keep in mind as you go through them is that the timeline throughout is a complete mess. There are continuity errors and plot holes everywhere the deeper you go. Often times, they'll flat out change the history of how something happened by ignoring what they've already established and saying "No, this is how it happened instead". You may recall a line in Deadpool: Colossus: "Let's go see the professor" Deadpool: "McAvoy or Stewart? These timelines are so confusing." That was more than just a joke about having two different actors playing the same character. It was a fourth wall jab at the X-Men franchise for their inability to keep a cohesive story. So if you see things that don't line up or are confused by certain events happening differently than you remember, it's best not to question it. Just go with it.
Quick fun thing about Storm's line to toad "do you know what happens to a toad when it gets struck by lightning?" The script for this movie passed through a few hands and the second to last set of hands it went through was Joss Whedon. He's the guy that directed avengers 2012 and avengers age of ultron. His script was very similar to this one but had some comedic moments. One of these comedic moments was a running gag given to Toad. In a fight he'd ask his opponent "Ya know what happens when a toad does X?" Storm's line was a punchline/gotcha moment where she's throwing his bit in his face. In the final script, Toad's running gag was cut out but for some reason they left storm's line in which was a bad call since it had zero context.
Halle Berry is great but her delivery was also part of the problem. Whedon always intended it to be a throwaway line, very casual and kind of snarky (exactly like e.g. Wolverine's "You're a dick" which was another of his lines). Instead Berry delivers it like it's meant to be Shakespeare and so it sounds off because, y'know, it clearly isn't :).
So, their powers: Professor X/Charles Xavier: Telepathy - mind reading, mind control, thought projection. Exceptionally powerful. Cyclops/Scott Summers: beams of kinetic energy from his eyes; he cannot fully control his powers due to a childhood injury, so he relies on special glasses or a visor to control his blasts. Dr. Jean Grey: telekinetic, telekinesis Storm/Ororo Monroe: weather control. In the comics, she's *much* more powerful, but her powers are tied to her emotions, so she needs to maintain strong emotional control or she might accidentally cause natural disasters. In the comics, she was also briefly married to King T'Challa of Wakanda. Wolverine/Logan: regenerative healing factor, enhanced hearing and sense of smell, claws; implanted with adamantium grafts on his skeleton that make him nearly indestructible. Also, in the comics, he's very short - only 5'3, compared to the 6'2 Hugh Jackman. Rogue/Marie: uncontrollably drains life-force from others on physical contact, including potentially thoughts and personality, and powers in the case of mutants. In the comics, she has other powers which she's permanently gained by absorbing them from others. Magneto/Erik Lensherr: control of magnetic fields and metals. Exceptionally powerful. Sabretooth/Victor Creed: enhanced strength, razor-sharp claws, enhanced healing, animalistic senses. In the comics, a long-time rival and nemesis of Wolverine. Toad/Mortimer Toynbee: heightened agility, stamina, increased leaping ability, prehensile tongue, can spit a paralytic mucus. Has some extra, weirder powers in the comics. Mystique/Raven Darkholme: shapeshifter, nearly immortal (in the sense of does not age), and can use her shapeshifting to augment her agility, strength, endurance, and healing to a degree.
pretty much every comic book character is more powerful in the comics than in the movies based on them because different writers continually give them power creep...
@@JordanJMyersI forgot about Spider-Man 2, i would put it also up there in my top 3. Iam not sure why i prefer the early Comic Movies over the MCU ones. No that all MCU Movies were bad, but just a different vibe.
It's honestly so refreshing to find reactors who have genuine reactions and an overall great vibing personality. Found your channel a couple days ago and have been binge watching since!
For Cyclops, his power is uncontrollable without those glasses or visor. In the comics, he got a head injury as a child that made him unable to turn his power off, if eyes are open, he’s destroying whatever he’s looking at. He uses the visor to control how strong the blast he uses will be. I am far from an expert though so I could be remembering something wrong.
Everything you said is basically right the beams are also pure force, no heat, so the blast Magneto took was like getting hit in the face by Mike Tyson, and the unfiltered beam is strong enough to shatter mountains
Finally. I was waiting for this video on your channel. The first movie I saw in the cinema when I was a child. Great movie and reaction. Greeetings from Masuria Poland🥰
@@LiteWeightReacting Cyclops power also comes form another dimension called the Punch dimension lol & he’s powered by solar energy the sun like how Superman is . They go more in depth with the powers in the cartoons specifically especially Rogue she is crazy powerful
@@Narutoanime16g So the punch dimension thing is really popular among fans but it's not actually canon. That was mentioned in only one book 40 years ago and was pretty much immediately corrected. He absorbs solar radiation and converts it.
To explain why logan is called the wolverine is because in the comics, logan's mutation includes him having animalistic behavior, like being ferocious and he snarls/growls a lot, something that a wolverine( the animal) does. In the comics logan is also short and wolverines are small mammals, Plus logan is from North America (Canada to be specific) where wolverines can be found.
Note: Wolverines aren't exclusively North American, there are throughout the arctic regions. The main Eurasian species are in Scandinavia, the Baltic region, Siberia, and Mongolia. Remains have been found as far south as Ukraine, but it's unclear if it was a sustainable population or just a migration from other regions.
You're not like most young people who comment on movies. You're actually smart and use your head. I like that. Thank you for being you. Also, the most dangerous bad guy is the one who thinks he's doing good.
5:46 - It's no big deal, it's just Jean Luc Picard and Gandalf having a conversation! Joking aside, this was the film that got Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen to be even closer friends than before as I don't think they were in a major blockbuster film together before this. I only found out recently that Cyclops/Scott is played by James Marsden, the same guy who plays Sheriff Tom Wachowski from the Sonic the Hedgehog films.
@@LiteWeightReacting Yeah seriously! Like even Hugh Jackman was an unknown before this as he was mainly in theatre, smaller TV roles and singing which was a huge farcry from his breakthrough role as Wolverine. Funny you mention that cos the film Logan introduced an actress to her first film role, which is a huge one to be in alongside Patrick Stewart and Hugh Jackman together!
Famke Janssen, who plays Jean Grey, had previously worked with Patrick Stewart (and I think the only one of the cast who had), as she'd guest-starred in an episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation in the early 90s.
@@LiteWeightReacting Patrick Stewart and Ian Mckellen have hands down the best bromance of all time. They love each other so damn much and you can see it in their interviews.
Regarding some of the questions you had about their mutant powers: Wolverine's regeneration is his power. It's strong enough and kicks in fast enough that he's nearly impossible to kill, so the fact that Rogue COULD kill him is a feat in and of itself. Cylops' optic beams aren't lasers. His eyes are essentially a gateway to a dimension of pure energy. The beams that come from his eyes are concussive in nature. Think of it like being kicked by a horse, but as a constant stream. An entire dimension worth of horse-kicks. Storm is able to manipulate and create weather - ANY type of weather. This was extended in the comics fairly recently to even include cosmic storms in space. She is one of the most powerful mutants on the planet. Jean's powers are... different. She shares some in common with Charles, but they're not exactly the same. Rogue's powers have changed over the years. Initially she could just drain the life out of people she touched, then they changed it so that she would temporarily steal their powers, and later still she would retain permanently some of the powers she gained. There are a lot of other mutants you'll be introduced to over the series, but it doesn't cover even a fraction of the total. The ones you met in this movie are the "main crew" that were the mainstays during the comics' most popular runs. As I'm sure you've picked up, mutants were Marvel comics' allegory on racism, which was very topical at the time the comics started to gain popularity.
@@LiteWeightReacting yeah and you wanna know what else it’s just getting started you’re going to need to watch all of these Easter, eggs, eggs, and all of these little references all of these stuff because there’s a lot more to Wolverine and I cannot wait until you watch more

Wolverine made his comic book debut as a mutant black-ops soldier tasked by the Canadian government with capturing the Hulk. The character was almost given the name “Badger”, but they changed it to the more violent counterpart of such a small animal. Wolverines are relatively small, very smelly, and incredibly violent, and that’s Logan all over. In the comics, Wolverine is 5’3, and as you’ve seen in this movie, he smokes like he’s doing a gas chamber’s job and he drinks enough for a Texas frat house rager, plus he’s a 100+-year-old, hairy drifter, so he smells terrible for sure. As for the homeless glam-rock haircut, that’s just 1970s comic book art come to life. Great reaction!
someone in the comments said that they cut out toad lines. in fights he asks opps “do you know what happens when toad does *smth*?” so storm just hit him with his own punchline. they just didn’t cut storm’s clapback for some reason
One of the best stories about this movie is the Wolverine/Mystique fight. Hugh accidentally stabbed the stuntwoman during filming. He apologized profusely. The first thing she said was “I got stabbed by Wolverine!” with a big smile.
You are very unique in terms of how interactive you are with your community. I, among many, was one of those who commented on deadpool that you should delve into x-men first before enjoying all the "blockbusters" and gems of that universe. Its really a pleasure to watch your stuff :)
James Marsden, who played Scott/Cyclops, went to my high school in Oklahoma City. He was a senior when I was a sophomore. To say he was popular was the understatement of the year.
@@LiteWeightReacting Well, since I was a nerdy little sophomore and he was a popular jock, I never had any interactions with him. I’d see him walk through the halls with his entourage of admirers. However, I never heard anything bad about him though 🤷♂️
Alright...as an 80's/90's Kid we were absolutely obsessed with the X-Men. The cartoon, the cards, the games, everything. When we finally all went to see this in 2000 our X-pectations were so high. That being said, I think they didn't really know where to go with this and we being cautious. It wasn't bad, but they had to introduce these characters to a whole new audience and hardcore fans at the same time. You can't please everyone. But they REALLY get things perfectly with the second one...TO BE CONTINUED.
While the favouritism towards Wolverine in these films is sometimes understandable, the big problem with the X-Men films is that instead of being ensemble stories, they often felt like "Wolverine and others" stories. Still, the impact this movie had for Marvel's popularity cannot be underestimated.
@@LiteWeightReacting I mean even at the time this movie came out he was and still is the most popular X-Men member, but he wasn't really at the forefront of X-Men books at the time. He was more the focus during his solo run and stories.

first time here, you came up on my recommended and I'm happy because I enjoyed your commentary and genuine desire to learn about my favorite comic franchise! :D
A few tidbits from the actual comics. The "girl who walks through walls" is Kitty Pryde (aka Shadowcat), she was a part of the same X-Men team that Wolverine and Storm were brought in by Prof X to save the original X-Men (three of the five you see in this movie (Cyclops. Jean Grey and Iceman (the kid with ice powers Mystique transformed into)), and they stayed on after that (there have been ALOT of X-men lineups since then). The relationship you see between Rogue and Wolverine in this movie is actually a reflection of the relationship he had with Kitty Pryde in the comics (she was the same age as movie Rogue, and Wolverine was famous for calling her "pumpkin"). Wolverine was introduced in the comics as a member of Alpha Flight, the official, state-sponsored super team of Canada, which has close ties with the X-Men. While there was a sort of a love triangle between Wolverine, Jean Grey and Cyclops for years, Wolverine and Storm have been a thing for a good while now. At one point in the comics, Magento completely ripped out the adamantium from Wolverine, almost killing him and revealing that his claws are actually bone coated with adamantium. It also incerased his healing factor substantially, as his healing factor is preoccupied most of the time by dealing with the adamantium in his body. Rogue, in the comics, was introduced both as an adult and as a bad guy, a memeber of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants (Magento's X-Men, which you see several members of in the movie). Mystique considered her an adoptive daughter. In the comics, while a bad guy, she permanetly absorbed and removed the powers from Carol Danvers (Ms.Marvel), and thus very early on was a lot more super powered than how she is depicted here. At the end of the movie, you see her with a white stipe in her hair, her trademark. She also joined the X-Men's second team in the 80s. In the 80s, she was one of comics sex symbols, with her personality being formed by her inability to experience intimacy, which she coped with by being very flirty. When she used her absorbtion power in combat, she usually tried to kiss the victim on the mouth.

I saw this in the theater when it came out and been a comic fan long time. So its good to see a new person reacting and reviewing this you did a good job explaining the movie with no or little bit info. Thanks for doing this. Cant wait for more videos
I love this movie. When this movie came out, I had never read an X-Men comic, so this was my introduction to the X-Men world. Wolverine is my favorite character and I love Hugh Jackman in the role. I love the relationship between him and Rogue. The first superhero movie I ever saw was back in 1982, when I was 11, and it was 1978's Superman: The Movie with the late Christopher Reeve in the title role. 46 years since that movie came out and I still love it. The way Christopher Reeve played the role, he really made you believe a person could fly. Speaking of Game of Thrones stars being in Marvel films, in addition to Sophie Turner, Maisie Williams was in the movie The New Mutants. In addition to playing Darth Maul and Toad, Ray Park was also a stunt double for the Headless Horseman in the movie Sleepy Hollow. There were two stunt doubles, one for the horse-riding scenes and one for the fight scenes. Ray Park was the double for the fight scenes.
When the movie came out, I went to a comic book store and bought a few issues to get into the characters, so I knew a little about Magneto's backstory, Storm and Rogue. In the theater I noticed some of the audience confused or nervous laughter, because they didn't expect a superhero movie to start where it did, and they probably thought they went to the wrong screen. (This was a cinema in Germany...)
To touch on what you said about Prof. X and Magneto,I have either read or watched interviews with comic historians regarding the two frienemies. Their ideological differences were inspired by those of Martin Luther King Jr and Malcolm X. The friendship was just added in for dramatic storytelling and whatnot.
That stupid line from Storm “the same thing that happens to everything else” was part of a running gag that was cut from the movie. Throughout the movie Toad would say “Do you know what happens to a frog when this…do you know what happens to a frog when that?”
This series always hits a little close to home with the parallels of how mutants are treated and how gay men were treated in the late 80s and 90s. Later on in the movie series (I don’t think this is spoilery, but those reading, correct me if I’m wrong), there’s a plot that parallels when parents sent their children to camps for conversion therapy as well.
I can remember parts of this so I assume it's another one I randomly saw on TV years ago and then forgot most of it, it's usually either that or I've never seen it lol. That does make it more fun to go through these with you though!
That definitely happens a lot for me too! I see scenes on TV but haven’t seen it all the way through, but surprisingly this wasn’t one of those for me!
I'm glad you corrected yourself with "telepathic." Kudos! People seem to confuse telekinesis with telepathy. Others still think they're so clever when they joke "Why doesn't Xavier just control his legs so he can walk?" When Xavier only has telepathy. He can't move things with his mind.
It is amazing how good these movies hold up. They really took them seriously and they are still enjoyable. I watched them all with my kids and they loved them.
3:00 - It's okay! I'm still awake through your long-winded intro. Don't mind them at all! Like so many others who tune into your reactions... It's safe to state that you're NEVER dull and you're probably one of the most genuine and sincere reactors (especially around the tear-inducing films). Kudos to you for being genuine with your content. 👍👏👏👏
6:58 "The wolverine animals -- do they have, like, fur that sticks up like that?" No, not really. 😆 They look like a cross between a bear and a skunk, but closer in size to the skunk. 🦨🐻
Oh, you sweet young girl. What a journey you're going to be on with these films. I was there 24 years ago from start to finish, and how I envy you having everything available at your fingertips now. I hope you enjoy the ride.
Yay! I'm glad you're getting to watch these. These had some great acting. You're right that they did an excellent job here with making this accessible so it could be introduced to the general public with no knowledge of the comics. Collossus does appear later. Negasonic Teenage Warhead, though, was just created (or introduced) for the Deadpool movie.
Okay. Well, there's another one down. Man, this has got to be the most cathartic times in my social media existence. At least by the end of it I should have a decent list. Seriously, man, if you're not talking to your fans, you shouldn't do this.
Yes yes yessss! Can't wait to see you take this journey. The X-Men series is deep. I think, like many of us, you'll fall in love with this franchise and the subsequent Wolverine movies, too.
I like it when Wolverine was criticizing the outfits and Cyclops said. What would you prefer yellow spandex. That was a reference to the 1990's. X men animated series on Fox.
The McCovy films negate so much of the Stewart films that they are definitely not connected. The exception being Days of Future Past, which combines the 2 universes.
This is why Magneto is in my top 3 favorite pop culture villains of all time, and why Sir Ian was absolutely perfect (if not ever-so-slightly too old perhaps) to play him. Yes, he's quintessentially an antagonist, but you 100% understand him, and he's not really out to kill people per se - unless they get in his way. His methods are just *wildly* different, and he wants different things. In fact (no specific spoilers) there are very many times in the entire pantheon where the two sides combine forces for mutual advantages. He reminds me a lot of Solas from Dragon Age. Like, you understand his position, and you (hopefully) don't want to have to kill him - as he probably doesn't want to have to kill you. He's just ...unfortunately after the wrong conclusion, and he can't succeed. Super excited about X2! I still think it's in my top favorite Marvel movies - even before the MCU was even a thing! There's a new mutant introduced, and he's been one of my absolute favorite characters since reading the comics/watching the cartoon back in the 90's!
Great reaction as always!! A lot of films nowadays rely quite often on nostalgia, and even more so when they are a part of a franchise or shared universe. Deadpool does lean on the X-Men universe so it's great that you're now starting this journey. X2 is my personal favorite, along with Days of Future Past! A lot of people have either First Class or Days of Future Past as their favorites, so i'd say you should at least watch those as well. And obviously Logan is everyone's favorite if you count all the Wolverine movies!
Very cool to hear you're undertaking Xmen. There are quite a few movies to get through and even though you've seen Xmen: first class, I would still suggest you watch it again for the channel to refresh yourself unless of course you watched it yesterday or something 😂. Love the tshirt, got one myself and nope there are no xmen characters on there.
I think the X-Men movies you should watch are X-Men 2, X-Men 3, X-Men origins wolverine, X-Men first class, the wolverine, X-Men days of future past and then logan before you get to deadpool and wolverine but this is just my opinion lol
I think that the school was built to teach mutants how to use their abilities wisely. These people had no choice about being mutants, but at least they can still decide how and when to use them, and for whatever reason. The villains were treading on the dark side, to coin a Star Wars phrase.
As a comic book kid, this is one of those “You just had to be there” situations. Seeing my favorite characters in live action was so amazing. Patrick Stewart was perfect casting. And this 30 year old unknown named Hugh Jackman made the hair look minimally ridiculous.
Glad you were warned/informed about Xmen + Deadpool for the journey leading into DP2 and 3, some people dont know and go into them as it is and they don't understand anything of what's happening cus, as it turns out, context matters xd As a last piece of useful info, just in case, Dead Pool 3 is the juncture where the X-men + Deadpool are incorporated into the Marvel Cinematic Universe and thus making lots of references to that universe as well. Ps The fact u knew he was Darth Maul just from that pole swing was FUCKING AMAZING lmao. Holy shit gurl
In the 80s and 90s, X-Men and Spider-Man were actually Marvel’s biggest IPs so when Marvel sold off their rights to make money from Bankruptcy studios quickly picked up X-Men (Fox) and Spider-Man (Sony) giving birth to the X-Men (2000) and a few years later Spider-Man (2002) two defining Superhero films. Both films feature a fun little connection as well. Hugh Jackman was originally meant to make a cameo in Spider-Man (2002) but they "couldn't find his outfit" so it never happened. Magneto would've made a cameo in Captain America: The First Avenger (2011) as a child but this never happened as well. Iron Man (2008) even has a deleted scene of Nick Fury mentioning "Mutants" to Tony Stark but again this was removed for legal reasons. Speaking on X-Men comics, X-Men #1 (1991) still holds the record as the best-selling comic of all time, and the 90s also gave us the iconic X-Men: The Animated Series and arcade games featuring Marvel’s top heroes like Spider-Man, Silver Surfer, and X-Men. Back then, The Avengers were considered B or even C-tier heroes, far from the spotlight. But X-Men being the face of Marvel did not last forever. This all shifted in the 2000s with the rise of the MCU, which turned The Avengers into household names. Around this time, Marvel comics then-president reportedly banned new mutant characters in the comics to avoid giving Fox, which owned the X-Men film rights, any fresh material to work with. Instead, he told writers to push for Inhuman stories, and the X-Men took a back seat throughout the 2010s with any new Mutant characters becoming Inhumans instead. X-Men merch became rare as well. You’d buy a Marvel T-shirt with the logo and characters all around it, but they’d mostly be Avengers characters. For a lot of people they only know Marvel thanks to the MCU and so if an IP exists outside of this they'll most likety thank "Well X-Men is not apart of the MCU so it's not Marvel". So there's some people they don’t even know that X-Men are Marvel. Same with The Fantastic Four as well who are Marvel's First Family yet alot of people just never made the connection, to many Marvel is The Avengers.
"It's me" "Prove it" "You're a dick" "Ok" One of my favourite dialogs in any X-men movie... heck maybe any movie. It so perfectly covers their... style. They did do a good job making this "open" to new watchers... while also throwing a few inside jokes in. For example, the line from Cyclops when Wolverine is complaining about the outfit, "what would you prefer, yellow spandex?" That was his comic outfit, Yellow spandex. Also, yes the "villain" has depth, he has good points, and "reasonable" motivation. The conflict is reasonable.
At 20:29, the white haired gentleman in the blue shirt is Marvel comics co-creator, Stan Lee. He made cameos in most Marvel movies & TV shows up until his death. He's even had appearances in some video games. Stan had a comic shop in NYC in one of the Spider-Man games. The tribute has continued with him being on posters or billboards in them. R.I.P. Stan Lee Excelsior!
I'd say that, at least most days, Magneto wants, as you said, "peace and inclusivity," but any slight setback to his plans will persuade him to settle for revenge and mutant superiority.
Ray Park is known for Toad and Darth Maul, of course. But he’s also the Headless Horseman in “Sleepy Hollow,” Snake Eyes in “GI Joe” and Reptile in “Mortal Kombat: Annihilation.”
Cyclops' power is he permanently emits a laser beam from his eyes. It is always on. If he opens his eyes, he will blast whatever he is looking at. He has to shut his eyes to turn it off, but then, he cannot see. The visor thingy on his head blocks the laser and he uses the dial/button to open it up and shoot his laser at enemies. In the cartoon, he uses it to blast down doors or walls or even put out fires. The glasses he wears also block the beams.
Fun Fact: The truck driver who first helped Rogue at the beginning is the voice actor for Beast in X-Men the Animated Series.

Such a great cast. X-2 is my fav out of these. Awesome reaction as always
X2 and Blade 2 are my favorite Comic Movies to this day.
@@henriklarssen1331 Yes love Blade 2, Spider-Man 2, The Dark Knight. Surprisingly alot of sequels better than the originals lol
The super hero of reactions watching a super hero movie is a must see! It was, of course, SUPER!
Hahahahh I’m so glad you enjoyed it!! 🤗
Everything you said is basically right
the beams are also pure force, no heat, so the blast Magneto took was like getting hit in the face by Mike Tyson, and the unfiltered beam is strong enough to shatter mountains
X-Men 2 is one of the best sequels of all time.
yep. Though, Days of Future Past, if we count that as a direct sequel to First Class, IMO surpasses it.

Finally. I was waiting for this video on your channel. The first movie I saw in the cinema when I was a child. Great movie and reaction. Greeetings from Masuria Poland🥰
Cyclops' eyes shoot kinetic energy, not light. So getting hit by the beam is like being punched, or hit by a train depending on the strength lol
Ohhh okay, that makes sense!! I was trying to figure out what it was exactly, thank you!!
@@LiteWeightReacting Cyclops power also comes form another dimension called the Punch dimension lol & he’s powered by solar energy the sun like how Superman is . They go more in depth with the powers in the cartoons specifically especially Rogue she is crazy powerful
Boy, Scott Summers has the most convoluted family...
It's concussive force, not kinetic energy. Gambit uses kinetic energy.
X2 will forever be my favorite of the series. It can’t wait for you to get to it.
I can’t even imagine working with both of them together!!! That must have been such an incredible experience for the other actors!
James is a regular co-host /guest on #SaraGonzales Unfiltered talkshow/podcast
Regarding some of the questions you had about their mutant powers:
Wolverine's regeneration is his power.
I knew there was a reason I loved you🤣 always reacting to the best movies out there!
It was so good!!!!! Can’t believe it took me so long to watch it!
@@LiteWeightReacting hey at least you watched it, it’s a good start, you just have like 40 more movies to catch on😛🤣
@@LiteWeightReacting yeah and you wanna know what else it’s just getting started you’re going to need to watch all of these Easter, eggs, eggs, and all of these little references all of these stuff because there’s a lot more to Wolverine and I cannot wait until you watch more
@@LiteWeightReactingin reality you missed nothing.....,silly Hollywood movies can teach silly Hollywood fantasies... triggered emotional response.is not the same as reality.....but make money is universil you tube !
Storm's one liner always cracks me up 😅
someone in the comments said that they cut out toad lines. in fights he asks opps “do you know what happens when toad does *smth*?” so storm just hit him with his own punchline. they just didn’t cut storm’s clapback for some reason
@@kafkateee That would have made so much more sense. Just as a stand alone line, it's the worst in all 3 movies.
That’s really cool!! Was he nice at least?!
I’m so excited for the second one, everyone keeps saying how good it is!!
While the favouritism towards Wolverine in these films is sometimes understandable, the big problem with the X-Men films is that instead of being ensemble stories, they often felt like "Wolverine and others" stories. Still, the impact this movie had for Marvel's popularity cannot be underestimated.
I wonder that is! Was Wolverine a better known character at this time? It’s interesting!
@@LiteWeightReacting I mean even at the time this movie came out he was and still is the most popular X-Men member, but he wasn't really at the forefront of X-Men books at the time. He was more the focus during his solo run and stories.
OK, that's a deep dive opinion, lol. Wolverine has always been the badass draw, whether in the Marvel comics or on screen, and has been on so many teams and titles! He's sorta the flagship draw, so you can't fault him for that so much!
@@LiteWeightReacting"Wolverine has always been the badass draw, whether in the Marvel comics or on screen, and has been on so many teams and titles! He's sorta the flagship draw, so you can't fault him for that so much!" To be fair, see the animated OG X-Men series and the recent sequel series for full glory of the team, including Cyclop's leadership and the breathtaking saga to do with Jean Gray!
Yeah, I remember kids talking about Wolverine at the lunch table in my elementary school, just about forty years ago.
first time here, you came up on my recommended and I'm happy because I enjoyed your commentary and genuine desire to learn about my favorite comic franchise! :D
Not many people manage to recognize Ray Park and where he's been to, in this movie.
Great catch.
Katherine Pryde was introduced in 1980. Storm and Wolverine joined the team 1975 (along with Colossus, Banshee, Sunfire, Thunderbird, & Nightcrawler)
u said it lmao....every time lol. seeing the hurt in your eyes 2 mins into the video....i just love being able to see the things that get me emotional do the same for others. ur becoming one of my fav reactors, its basically all i watch on youtube lol

Always enjoy your reactions keep up the amazing work my friend 😊😊😊
I’m so glad!! Thank you for watching!
Toad be like…”don’t act like you’re not impressed ladies”.
Awesome! So happy you are going on this journey! I'm here for it! It will pay off.....
You’re definitely right about the old feeling of MCU , getting us in our nerdy feelings lol
Good times and great reaction.
I am so happy that you are now uploading reactions more often. Please keep it up! I like your content
I am too!! I hope you’ve been enjoying them!! 🤗
Glad to see you watching X men, teegan. Hope you enjoy the movies. I do love your movie teasers. Phenomenal reaction as always. Keep being incredible.
In some versions he can
Mystique definitely looks like first officer material
It is amazing how good these movies hold up. They really took them seriously and they are still enjoyable. I watched them all with my kids and they loved them.
i love this journey you're sharing with us... thank you so much!
3:00 - It's okay! I'm still awake through your long-winded intro. Don't mind them at all! Like so many others who tune into your reactions... It's safe to state that you're NEVER dull and you're probably one of the most genuine and sincere reactors (especially around the tear-inducing films). As dumb as it sounds, Cyclops' eyes channels energy from the punch dimension. No Im not kidding.
6:58 "The wolverine animals -- do they have, like, fur that sticks up like that?" No, not really. 😆 They look like a cross between a bear and a skunk, but closer in size to the skunk. 🦨🐻
OK, you just pulled off one of Batman's mental superpowers: you determined who a hidden enemy was by analyzing their fighting style!
Oh, you sweet young girl. What a journey you're going to be on with these films. I was there 24 years ago from start to finish, and how I envy you having everything available at your fingertips now. I hope you enjoy the ride.
Oh man, hearing that you're going to watch the X-Men movies immediately made me think one thing: "Logan is going to BREAK her". 😭
I remember my grandmother bringing me to the movies to see this when I was 5
Yay, let's start the journey!
This feels like I'm showing my little sister the movies I grew up with!
You have a great channel. I think it's very difficult to do this sort of thing right, but you really know what you're doing.
Okay. Well, there's another one down. Man, this has got to be the most cathartic times in my social media existence. At least by the end of it I should have a decent list. Seriously, man, if you're not talking to your fans, you shouldn't do this.
Wolverine has super senses. Smell, hearing, sight, touch and taste. And he has night vision.
Yes yes yessss! Can't wait to see you take this journey.
The X-Men series is deep. I think, like many of us, you'll fall in love with this franchise and the subsequent Wolverine movies, too.
I’m so excited to finally be watching it!!!!
Another fantasticly amazing reaction Liteweight ❤❤🔥🔥.
I like it when Wolverine was criticizing the outfits and Cyclops said. What would you prefer yellow spandex. That was a reference to the 1990's. X men animated series on Fox.
God I would love to see you react to the whole Xmen serie chronologically
Watching this thru your eyes was Awesome!!
FYI that "X-Men First Class" was a prequel, not a reboot.
The McCovy films negate so much of the Stewart films that they are definitely not connected. The exception being Days of Future Past, which combines the 2 universes.
@@wampa25 Explains his paralysis and relationship with Mystique.
It was kinda both, but it was more of a reboot than a prequel.
Going way back for the original X-men. These will be fun! Thanks for all the great reactions Teegan!
I can’t wait to watch through them all!! It’s going to be fun!!
Good reaction and I love the Marvel shirt!
I’m jealous.
To be able to see some of these movies for the first time.
First Class was the one I’ve seen and I really enjoyed it!! I’m super excited to be watching through them all now!!
Magneto is willing to make scarifies "for the greater good."
Welcome to X-Men. X marks the spot 👌.
So excited to finally be watching these!
Wow I can't believe you figured out it was Darth Maul
I think the X-Men movies you should watch are X-Men 2, X-Men 3, X-Men origins wolverine, X-Men first class, the wolverine, X-Men days of future past and then logan before you get to deadpool and wolverine but this is just my opinion lol
I think that the school was built to teach mutants how to use their abilities wisely. These people had no choice about being mutants, but at least they can still decide how and when to use them, and for whatever reason. The villains were treading on the dark side, to coin a Star Wars phrase.
His strength, his weakness, that's a great analogy ...
Cyclops' power isn't laser beams, it's concussive force. That's why he can smash things and knock them out of his way without burning them to a crisp.
Great reaction! I had a blast.
"It's me"
"Prove it"
"You're a dick"
"Ok"
One of my favourite dialogs in any X-men movie... heck maybe any movie.
R.I.P. Stan Lee
Excelsior!
The “yellow spandex” comment is because Wolverine does wear a yellow suit in the comics and most other adaptations, including the latest Deadpool film
I'd say that, at least most days, Magneto wants, as you said, "peace and inclusivity," but any slight setback to his plans will persuade him to settle for revenge and mutant superiority.
FYI the truck driver that drops Rogue off in Canada is the voice actor for Beast in the 90s Xmen cartoon :P
i used to watch this movie so much as a kid before the other 2 movies were released, that i had some of the dialogs memorized. 😅
Great reaction to the best X-Men trilogy eveer!! 🔥
R.I.P Stan Lee.. 😢
I love his little cameos but they’re definitely sad now!!
I keep forgetting how old this movie is . Blows me away that some of you youngsters have never seen it.
