This video randomly appeared on my feed. I really appreciate how direct and to the point you are. The fact that they just released the base game but with a "complete edition" cover is absurd. It reminds me of a time when I purchased Persona 3 FES from a used game store and it only had the base game on it. Obviously this is worse because it's directly from the manufacturer.

Watched your video and emailed them for the code. After that I loaded up the disc for the first time, I've never played the game before. It brought up echoes of the eye on an add ons list. It automatically downloaded echoes of the eye and it's showing on the title screen. It's definitely not on the disc. Maybe they corrected the issue as far as needing a dlc code or maybe having a previous save file confuses the process or something.
Oh interesting! Thank you very much for sharing! It definitely might have something to do with having a previous save file. I hope they have mended the issue - maybe they got sick of having to send out codes 😂
@@retroreviews_ I ordered the collectors edition and just realized they sent me two copies of the game. The one inside the satchel/book thing and one in the regular game case. The one I loaded to the ps5 was the same one you showed in this video not the satchel version.
I remember when Street Fighter X Tekken had on the disc DLC and people were pissed. This is like the inverse of that. Sorry to hear you bought a glorified base game, but happy it all worked out in the end.
I remember that debacle! So bizarre. The positive for me is The Outer Wilds is so incredible on its own, so it works out fine. If they hadn't fixed it so quickly I probably would have just refunded it.
What a shame and not even on the disc. How big is the actual dlc on PS5? For Xbox, it's part of the base game and the dlc is only a 10MB key to enable the content.

It's very small, super quick download. I think mine did the same thing - I was surprised how fast it finished up.
