That sure looks great Daniel🤠 And Ksenia is doing a great job with the BBQ 🤗 When I lived in Iceland, from 1976 and until 1983, I owned a Lada Niva, it was called Lada Sport back then. I loved it👍🤠 Greetings from Denmark 🇩🇰🤠 I live around Karup, Jutland. Here we have a great river with Trout and the occasional Salmon. It's about 30 km's from the Danish Lake District.🇩🇰🤠
I was in Denmark a few times but only flying through with the Marines it’s geography is absolutely interesting 🤣 so much water all over now that I’m addicted to fishing Denmark and other countries in that region are so attractive to visit 🤣
I live near Lake Erie , one of the Great Lakes in the U.S. but not nearly as deep as Lake Baikal or as clean Dan. I’m going to order a Russian style grill from Amazon to cook like you do, food looked delicious!
You should look up a "shashlik recipe" as well, because you would probably want to marinade the meat before cooking. It's required though, but it definitely worth it - not only it results in faster cooking and more tender and juicy meat, but also allows you to adjust it to your own taste by trying different marinades. Also, since classic marinades provides an acidic environment (in which meat should spend 6-48 hours, depending on its type), it will increase the lifetime of your meat, so you can take it for a far or long ride, and as a bonus will allow you to cook meat that require extra caution (like pork or wild animal), because it will destroy any unwelcomed organisms in there, so you won't have to worry if you are not skilled enough to cook meat evenly and completely.
God has blessed you tremendously brother… what a beautiful wife, land, and the traditional way of life… and a great father in law to show you how to live free
There’s irony there because I’m the one who pushes this family to be out more I’m Mexican we live like this I am trying to have them go out and enjoy more. but now winter is coming so next year 🤣🙏🏻
Reminds me of fishing in the lakes and streams in Colorado where I grew up. We didn't have our own shashlik queen to cook for us though! Hahaha The food looks delicious! I hope you showed Ksania some appreciation for all the cooking.

I am near a small lake, but the water there heats up to 30 degrees Celsius, because it has a small inflow of water. A little further is the river, which is now about 25 degrees where it comes out of the canyon, but it gets warmer further downstream. Here they sometimes fish, hunt game, or buy a lamb or suckling pig from the farmers for a picnic when the workers come home from Western Europe for the holidays.
Ksenia did a superb job of filming...almost professional. Here in Grand Rapids, MI we are about 35 miles fom Lake Michigan. Lake Michigan and Lake Huron of the 5 Great Lakes are considered hydrologically to be one body of water, and are considered in surface area to be the 2nd largest lake in the world or Lake Superior, depending on how it is measured, and the largest freshwater lake.
well measuring the outside is one thing measuring what makes a lake a lake (the water) baikal is king. but I love hearing about the people who live around those lakes it must be amazing. I love lakes and waters thanks for sharing your perspective where you live 🙏🏻
Lake Baikal is also the deepest lake, by far, at 5387 feet. Next is Tanganyika in Africa at 4823 feet. I was surprised that Lake Superior was way down the list at no. 41, 1332 feet. This is according to Wikipedia.

There are huge amount of different recipes of 'shishlik'. You simply take a pork, slice it add onion and different species for a meat and let it soak in for 4-8 hours. We usually take neck part of pork, because it is contains a lot fat and will be juicy after roasting, however it depends on each person taste. You may prefer pieces with less fat. Some people prefer to add soda or white yogurt in marinade to make the meat softer, but not me. Skewers are nice to have and change the taste a little, but not neccessary. I am lazy and prefer a grille, because it does not require so much time to attach each piece of meat. Here is what I am talking about: www.mosregfermer.ru/upload/iblock/af1/af1e4d03707e52c987d1e3bb3522a70f.jpg You can search on youtube for 'шашлык' (shishlik) and see a lot different techniques. I think youtube can auto translate speach to text and for some videos you can understand everything without translation.

I live near Lake Erie , one of the Great Lakes in the U.S. but not nearly as deep as Lake Baikal or as clean Dan. I’m going to order a Russian style grill from Amazon to cook like you do, food looked delicious!
Russian style grill has its own name -MANGAL ( pronounced mungull)
try to search for it.
It truly is a good purpose grill! Simple to use and it really takes no space! You won't regret cooking in this style!
Raw, these mushrooms can be eaten, provided there is no blackness or dark spots. They must be completely white.
@@allay179 thank you, I’ll do that!

That sounds really nice honestly after how cold our water is LOL thanks for sharing!

@@ta1256 Yes, Lake Baikal is the largest lake with volume of freshwater in the world at 23,610 km3 compared to the 5 Great Lakes at 22,671 km3. @@ta1256 And as you say, Lake Baikal is the oldest lake at 27 million years. And I think Daniel has said over 300 rivers feed into Baikal. It is an amazing place, an UNESCO World Heritage Site. And it is slightly larger than the country of Belgium.

Kudos to you Dan, for untangling the fishing line in the freezing cold water and kudos to Ksenia for all the food, the sacrifice of her skin to the blazing sun, and her beautiful braids; and kudos to dad for his fishing luck. Great video guys. Thanks.
All the water in the video can be drunk as is 🫡 Ksenia really worked on this a lot I felt bad but im glad the burn is long gone now.
I’ll tell you what I thought I lost a finger that’s how cold it was 🤣
There are huge amount of different recipes of 'shishlik'.
Here is what I am talking about: www.mosregfermer.ru/upload/iblock/af1/af1e4d03707e52c987d1e3bb3522a70f.jpg
You can search on youtube for 'шашлык' (shishlik) and see a lot different techniques. I think youtube can auto translate speach to text and for some videos you can understand everything without translation.

sounds very interesting

there’s not a lot of mosquitos around the lake. there’s very few bugs that bother you around the lake because of the fresh air. the tide was going down it seemed like yes
@@Wild-Siberia I had heard that mosquitos (I suppose that other types of bugs too) like to put theirs "eggs" in a warm usually swamp types of water(or in a small warm rivers may be)

I also heard that in Siberia forests mosquitos could be a challenge if you stuck in the forrest with no preparations(like clothes or insect repellent sprays or decent tent) Back in the history(like really back may be 800-1000+ more years ago) I heard in some part of a siberia(or may be not siberia but somewhere in the Northern land) there were execution for a criminals(I guess really bad ones) cruel in any case . So the criminal were tied up naked in the forrest and during the night the mosquitos literally execute them.
