I always like the grille on these Merc's. Nice car. Wold be a great restomod with a 302 Ford , upgraded suspension and disc brakes. But it's hard to find these old Mercs so well preserved as an orginal survivor! Thanks for posting!
This is an interesting choice , thanks ! I think the Mercury had around 10 extra horses ( 95 vs 85 ) probably due to higher compression ? Those old Ford products featured an excellent Soy Based black paint . This almost looks original .
My apologies .On checking facts I find that , for the 1946-48 Mercury cars , the engine was identical to Ford ...both delivering around 100 hp .Earlier cars had featured slightly more power and this was to happen again from 1949 .
