Hi Tom! Thanks for the video! As always, very informative. We're just wrapping up our transatlantic on Silhouette (Aquaclass). We have to say that the service has been better than our high expecations. Keep up the great work!
Hi Steve! Thank you. Im really glad you are enjoying the videos. It's great to hear your transatlantic trip is going well. I am looking forward to hearing more about it. How is the food in Blu!? I heard some people complain that it went down hill. Is this true?
perspective, the food in Blu met our high expectations for food quality and diversity of choice (and also enjoyed Murano, Lawn Club Grill, Tuscan Grill and Sushi On Five). We appreciate the smaller portions but did note that there was no issue for anyone requesting multiple appetizers or entrees. The ability to order off the main dining room menu also added more interesting choices. The Blu Maitre'D and Director Food and Beverage engaged with us frequently which we enjoyed and we were able to order an off-menu offering of Butter Chicken which was great!
I have deliberately not book a cruise on Celebrity’s new ships because of these verandas which really aren’t verandas but windows. The biggest issue is once you open the window your AC goes off. Might be nice for an Alaskan cruise but no way for a warmer cruise like the Caribbean.
I feel like it wouldn't take too much to really improve the infinite veranda to make it more palatable to more people. Instead of that flimsy looking plastic bi-fold partition, they use an actual full framed/insulated bi-fold door, and let that door control the AC instead of the outer veranda window. It should also have a separate curtain in front of the bi-fold door as well to block the light if one person was sleeping and someone else wanted to enjoy the veranda part of the room without flooding it with light. I was hoping they would have made some improvements to the infinite verandas on the Icon of the Seas. The new Sun Princess looks like they were able to execute their new Cabana Mini-Suite rooms well by having a sliding balcony door separating the room from the Cabana portion, and then having a framed folding door separating the Cabana from the actual balcony. Made it easy to choose that room when deciding to try the Sun Princess out.
I am really looking forward to trying this new configuration on Sun Princess. I am checking out available cruises on that ship as we speak! Thanks for sharing!
Eight cruises in two years? When do you have time to work? 😄 I am a traditional balcony guy, and I don't think I would like the infinite veranda, although I have not tried them.
I've truly enjoyed cruising over the past two years and feel both thankful and fortunate to have had the opportunity. To be honest, I reserve all my vacation days specifically for cruises. I love creating TH-cam videos, and these trips are the only way I can produce a significant number of them. Although I'm technically working during my vacations, it's a labor of love. My ultimate dream is to pursue TH-cam full-time. Currently, that remains just a dream, as I need to maintain my job to support myself. However, I'm hopeful that one day, this dream will become a reality!
"Infinite Veranda" = no veranda. This cabin category should be called something like, "Deluxe Oceanview." You get a window, not a balcony, but it's a nice big window that partially opens. Some people may prefer such an arrangement to get a bit more internal cabin space. It's not difficult to be accurate and honest in descriptions and marketing, so why doesn't Celebrity do it?
I agree. I understand the logic and idea of the infinite veranda, but its execution needs improvement. I am looking forward to my cruise on the Sun Princess next year in a Cabana Mini Suite. It looks like they executed that room type nearly flawlessly from what I've seen.

I’m sitting in my Infinite Veranda on the Apex at this moment. Window down, breeze coming in. Loving it.
I am glad you are enjoying your trip!
Just cruised on the Apex 2 weeks ago. We loved the Infinite Veranda cabin.
I am glad you enjoyed it!

Hi Tom! We debark'd yesterday and are currently enjoying a few days in the Netherlands before rejoining the real world. From our

Agreed! The heat/humidity is a big issue. As soon as you open the window, it gets very hot. All mirrors fog up as well.

This is a very good point. Thank you for sharing your opinion. You are right, it should be called Deluxe Oceanview. That is much more accurate.
Those picture windows ARE NOT worth even a 1/10 of what charge. We hated ours, and "Will Never" get another one. Spent 7 nights on Apex.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the Infinite Verandas.
I won’t use Celebrity because of them. That’s not a balcony.
Valid point. A lot of people agree with you. Your only other options are Sunset/Porthole Veranda or a suite.
