I think George had the kindest eyes I've ever seen---he had many health problems near the end of his life on this old world. He never lost site of what was ahead of him. He just was a very special man of God.
Thank you. So. Much for. This. You. Must. Know. How. Grateful. We are. For. This. Tape. And all the. Songs. And. Memories. Of all. That is. Gone. To. Be. With. Our. Lord. Thank you. Bill always. Thank. You
I thank my precious Lord and Savior for the wonderful music of all you Bill, Gloria and ALL of those I may never get to meet in this life! Thank you for the blessings I have enjoyed by your ministry. THANK YOU a million times over.
I got to stand on stage with the Cathedrals at the age of 14. I was piano player for a young quartet. We did a concert with the Cathedrals in city auditorium in Calhoun, GA. We were just young nobodies, but George and Glen insisted we get on stage with them for the finale. I stood with George's arm around me as his majestic voice rang in ear. That was well over 40 years ago, but it seems like yesterday. George and Glen were the real deal folks. Two of the best men God ever blessed us with.
I have listened to and watched sooo many concerts this year and I love this man and his witness! I love to laugh and have fun but there’s a serious side to life also. I sure miss him.

If you are saved by grace through faith in Christ alone as George was, then you will get to not only meet him someday, but will really know him well. What a great place Heaven is.
Wish I could have know George and JD. They were truly men of God and whatever human frailties they had we love them! I have just recently become interested in Southern gospel but have learned a lot through what I have seen these men do!

George was the sweetest man. Some one that really believed in God and the faith George had in his Lord. This will always be someone I cherish knowing.
There is no words to explain how God uses our Gospel Groups. The Gaither & Signature Sound have always been my favorites.

grande pessoa foi George ...quero te conhecer pessoalmente no céu...
I remember singing this song (at 1:45) in the summer between 7th and 8th grade -- It's called "An Evening Prayer." Writer: BATTERSBY, C M./GABRIEL, CHARLES/ROE, GLORIA
Lyrics © Warner/Chappell Music, Inc., Universal Music Publishing Group
A song that should be sung way more often than we do, for sure!
See you at the house !!!!
If I could get that version sang here (1:45) I'll be the happiest soul
I'm wondering the same thing
Sorry guys my you be blessed
Doing some further research, I noticed that both Mahalia Jackson and Elvis Presley (among others) have done this song ("An Evening Prayer")!
snickpickle beautiful
the song he was singing at 2.15 mark was a song that they all knew as a group I guess I'm not sure
What song is George singing at 2:15?
It's called "If I Have Wounded Any Soul Today". Also called "An Evening Prayer".
Listen to Geroge
I played his song with Jake Hess I will Flay away at his funeral.
No
Not only no but hell no
