Understood Thank you Joe. Thank you for sticking with the basics of S1 Pro as Sphere or Plus is just not worth it but could be as basic Mix/Mastering skills develope. Really appreciate the shorty segments as they are all I watch allowing me to take the Deep-Dive into this ART of Mixing.

First, I appreciate your videos and others. I am a grampa who is new to this world. When I'm duplicating loops on a track, there's constantly a break at each new loop duplication. I think it's called the seem? How do I meld that together to remove the pause and just have my loops continually play on said track.. An example would be a drum beat. Hopefully this question is clear. Thanks for your time, y'all are 👍.

I'm a Grandpa too, but been in and around music on and off, a long time, back in it 2 1/2 yrs ago. Check out some of Joe's Videos on Cross-fading. I think you'll be able to fix your problem with that process. And keep on keeping on, brother! I will also be going Full-Time Music as of July 1st, when I get OUT of the RE Appraisal business! haha That countdown has already begun!

Hi Joe, great video. Is this basically another way to compress the track in a more selective way?

This adjusts the audio level before it even goes to the input trim knob.
A compressor would compress the peaks of the audio, allowing you to add make-up gain which pulls up the quieter sections.
Are these actions the same? No. Clip gain very much will be like pushing up the fader, but within the audio clip itself.

I was going to like this video, then you talked about Presonus Sphere. I can see Presonus really wanting Studio One users to go down subscription road.

I'm with you on the Sphere attitude, and now Presonus is on my DOO-DOO List. I BOUGHT Studio 4 Pro in July 2019, when I got back to songwriting. Recommended by a local music store here in the Phoenix area. THEN, I UPGRADED to Version 5 Pro. SO CASH outlays for both of them. And NOW, these Sphere folks---and not their fault----get EVERYTHING under the sun, and what ticks me off MORE, are all the "Special Videos and programs" Sphere members get that I dont. SO to ME, they slapped every Purchaser like me across the face with Sphere. They should at the LEAST include us in those "specials" they push in my face like a cream pie! I just bought an Allen & Heath ZED 60 mixer board. Will NOT BUY any Presonus hardware as my own Affront toward them on this issue. PS...I serve Jesus too, also on my church worship team!
