      I really appreciate that. I’m hoping for these next coming years to be adventurous for me as a filmmaker. Hoping to get back to my roots in fly fishing and native fish and create some really interesting and educational films :)

    Great documentary....but if you are going to post this public video, but claim the location is a secret, well, that's what the self-anointed do.
    The rest of us just shlep along...without our university educations and attitudes...just a thought. Thanks for listening...

      I made a promise to a friend who gave me this location; it wasn’t mine to publicly announce.

    There are no native trout in the eastern sierras, including the golden trout. They have all been introduced by stocking.

      @@MichaelStout-h2t Come again? You want to mention the Lahontan Cutthroat of the East Walker River Drainage, or the Paiute Cutthroat Trout of Silver King Creek, or the Kern River and Volcano Creek Golden Trout? There’s so many. I’m a fisheries biologist fyi.

    Pro-tip reintroduced fish species are "wild" that were endemic (native) to the area.

    Sorry to say those were not native goldens but wild trout for sure that you caught in the Sierra not the Sierras .

    • @redbandcreative
      @redbandcreative  หลายเดือนก่อน

      We are aware that they aren't native, I'm a fisheries biologist and know the complete native ranges of the Kern River Golden Trout and Volcano Creek Golden Trout, and yes, the correct form of Sierras is Sierra as it is already plural in nature.

  • @elffirrdesign2063

    The Sierra Nevada is a beautiful place. Please don't sully its name by pluralizing Sierra which in Spanish describes a range of mountains with ridge that looks like a saw sticking up in the sky. It's so bush league and irreverent to miss the meaning in this name. Did yah fall asleep in class at SOC? There many sets of mountains with sierra in their name on our globe. Such a beautiful piece of work with a scratch in it. Best of luck at job that many others who have gone before with lesser tools...realize that and we move forward as humans.

      We agree in a way with what you are saying. Remember, we made this film when we weren't even legal to drink yet... Myself, Kaden, am two months from graduating with a BA in Env. Science & Policy; I understand the coliquilisms. Also remember the history behind the Spanish and the genuflection they caused the native people in the 1600's in California... Sierra Nevada is not the true name to the native tribes such as the Paiute or Washoe.
