You see, I took the AP WH exam in the first year of high school. Being from a foreign country, my level of understanding and writing historical events in English was limited as a result of it. Since I was in the prep grade and from another country, I had no high hopes whatsoever. However, I need to admit that this channel helped me a lot to get that 5. I would like to thank with this comment.
Hello! I was worried about the ap exam coming up so what level of understanding is necessary? Is it like in depth and diving deep into each event we learn about or like main ideas like the ones listed in the video?
@@j2titanium683 Generally you'll be fine if you just know the main ideas. You don't need to know every single person, technology or event associated with each empire. But the test isn't till the summer and it's fall lol
@@Anagarcia-ld2po Sure! What helped me the most last year for the DBQ was, knowing the content REALLY, REALLY well. There isn't really a point when you can know the content to well as, you don't know what specifically the two essays could be on (Other than the vague parameters they give you)-. Content-wise: Stephanie Gorges, Heimler, Freeman and skimming Amsco topics for any topic within the time period I needed more help on. Simultaneously, familiarize yourself with the format, there never really was a point when I thought the DBQ wasn't difficult. If your class is doing a Mock Exam, I'd definitely recommend that!! Don't stress too much about it, stress tarnished you'd best work. The essays should just kinda flow together without all too much thought. Our DBQ last year was on something like Feminism in Europe, it was something I wasn't very confident in and, I walked out of there thinking I had messed it up with my DBQ; HIPPing the documents well and knowing a good bit of content really came in clutch. Use your time appropriately. The LEQ is really not all that bad (Mine was on the revolutions: French, Haitian, American, etc) if you know the DBQ well than the LEQ should just be natural, I'm not saying to not review the LEQ but, definitely prioritize the DBQ. Don't walk in to the exam nervous or sleep-deprived, do your best, that's more than enough, If worst comes to worst, and you aren't too confident in the topic, then always aim for a couple points. Best of luck!! (It's like really early here so, excuse the bad grammar)
