I think you gave the best advice on chinese scooters i've seen, and as an owner of an old (2005) scooter thats my only motor transport, i agree.

If you live in Harley land as I do you will find it is not possible to find a scooter dealer. Kymco or SYM dealers are usually hundreds of miles away. And most Honda or Yamaha dealers do not stock scooters for fear of being stuck and unable to sell them. They will only order one if you commit to buying it. At least that is how it is where I live.

I always bought Vietnamese or Taiwanese scooter, they served me pretty well. Now I’ve a top brand Italian keeway c light built in China and it’s super reliable

I'm at my first year riding a Chinese scooter, and i'm stocked... i traveled 2000 km this summer, changed oils (motor & gear) at 300 km then at 1000 km. At 2000 km it's do for an other oils change, witch i will do went i'm winterizing it. I'm not too knowledgeable when it come to the workings of a Chinese scoot, i'm willing to learn and use what is available to me... like these videos that tell it like it is... Thanks I Fix Shet

Hey!! WOW! That is an amazing amount of miles!! Vrroom Vrooom!! lol I ride a 2021 Lance (Sym) Cabo 125cc, which I believe is built in Thailand. I got my scoot from a dealer in Portland, paid $2200 I think....I love riding that thing, and sure wish I lived in Florida so I could ride year round....I got out on a ride yesterday - first time temps have been up in the high 50s for a while.....AMAZING day and ride, but I forgot to bring my DJI to record the ride. I hope to find a trailer to bring it with me on my trip down there, so I can stop and ride all kinds of places, then find some scooter groups while down there, and go on some group rides with the locals who know the good roads to ride....I would love love love to find a Honda HELIX in good condition, but I don't really have tools or work on bikes. I am a gal who has changed my own oil on my van, you know, easy, but....I haven't learned yet to work on the engines, even though I have watched people do these things on the videos, etc. SO, I trust the peeps who know how to do these things if I ever need help! I do change the oil on the regular, I definitely want to keep it running tight!!! WOOOOT I love a good SCOOT!! LOL! Happy riding!!!

Great video on addressing the number one repetitively ultimate Golden Question all subscribers/viewers Ask on Chinese scooter channels are they really worth buy ....? I hear it all the time also and pretty much say the same thing one who buys a Chinese/Taiwanese scooter will have to be willing to tinker and learn how to maintain and fix simple things most importantly oil & gear oil changes ,drive belt changes, tuning of carburetor, adjusting valves to specs , looking over bolts & screws using loctite blue on most bolts that you dont want vibrating loose...🙂 Nice coverage on the topic buddy ...👍

Surprisingly good. Im recently riding a 2016 Peace Sport 150cc with 20k on nothing but reg maint. One new oem exhaust because it sheared pipe 3" from the head & tabs on frame. Twelve hundred when new, still reliable & you park where you want to, in crazy 305.

I do recommend using ethanol free on anything with a carburetor.

  • @dekoldrick

I have an old Chinese scooter from 2008 I just revived. Not sure how long it ago it stopped working for the previous owners but it has a little over 1,600 miles on the odometer which the speedo cable was broken due to the driver in the speedo seizing so it might be higher.

It's always good to hear an honest opinion from a person who has experience with Chinese scooters and knows how to work on them. Great video, thank you.
