UPDATE: I still even missed one lol, I showed that if you press RMB you detach from the wall, but its not only for that. The RMB connects and detaches you from a surface and you see a little white claw in the top right when this happens. ty

You can also use lmb to super jump to a cliff, then push rmb before you reach the cliff to cancel it and just gain speed, the technics were not so hard to understand and look for when devs used the drake. But ty for showing how fo activate the tek saddle

Oh yeah also they released the full ragnorak map for pc. There is a huge underground maze there. Any chance you could take a break from aberration to make a video about it?

Awesome Video! There’s one more control for the rock drake, It toke me days to figure it all out. The R Button Actives Climbing ability when on the ground. Keep a eye on the head movements, if the drake is looking up its ready to climb. No jump start needed. If the head is leveled, you can’t climb. Also there’s a symbol on the top left hand size (Foot print) if the climbing ability is active.

This was extremely interesting, especially how you climbed the walls and glided with your tek rock drake.
I really wish you could use A & D to turn the drake while on the walls/ceiling.
I find the controls while climbing to be pretty clumsy. I don't know how many times my drake climbed up/down and got me into some shit just because my camera angle was ever so slightly tilted one way or the other.
A couple other things I didn't notice you mention:
1) While on the ground, right-click will toggle climbing mode on/off. This will allow you to climb onto a surface without having to jump. Also, when climbing up onto a surface from a wall, the climbing mode doesn't typically disengage automatically. This is important because: A) You don't regenerate stamina in climb mode and B) walking/sprinting while in climb mode is slightly slower than doing so normally. So, whenever you're done climbing for the moment, always make sure you are out of climbing mode so you don't get caught without stamina.
2) When doing the glide dash, you can right-click to cancel out of it - just in case you change your mind about where your heading (I'll sometimes use this as an elevation "boost" to maintain a glide a lot longer than I normally could without landing).
3) You can dive bomb onto enemies like a griffon or target bomb them from a wall/ceiling like a thyla (minus grabbing them afterwards). Both of these do a significant amount of damage to your target.
One more tip I have when stealing eggs with a drake is this:
Never panic when escaping!
It can become very easy to get disoriented on a drake if your on a wall or ceiling while trying to escape from pursuers. Instead of jumping aimlessly, just right-click to drop from the wall and land on the floor, then immediately jump and start gliding away (and dashing when you can). This will help reorient yourself so you can avoid getting cornered by a mob of drakes.

Another tip I didn't see mentioned in the vid is RMB turns on and off the cling ability, you do not have to jump to a wall or look a special way when it's on you can just walk up it.

You can use the boost while activating the climbing in the ground, just wanted to give you this so you might use it :) keep going Steve, love your videos!
You don't have to jump on walls. You can activate climbing mode while on the ground. If you look at the top right of your screen next to your rock drake's stats where it shows symbols like if you are poisoned or not you will see the image of his rock drake's foot while he is climbing or just has the climbing mode activated. For controller you can activate it by clicking left trigger. You won't have to jump on the walls you can just run up to them and just start climbing while climbing mode is activated. The rock drake's head will also point up when climbing mode is activated.

Steve, also if you press the right mouse button I believe that toggles climbing mode so you do not have to jump at all you can just walk up the wall from a floor position.

Nooblets I have a question, what’s your favorite aberration Dino?
Guys i just figured out how to fly and if the flying doesnt works i know what to do! Do this if you have the glitch that makes you unable to fly:1 Find a water source deep enough to swim in with your drake not a pink one!!! :2 go into it : 3 jump and attack at the same time:4 and now you can glide again!! If not work in the first time try again a couple of times toen it should work this works great on ps4!!!
That dash is how I farmed my additional rock drakes, back and forth from nest to nest. Super fast, super disorienting lol.
I did it 4 times in a arrow and got dizzy

Nooblets you can get spec x in Abberation there is a swampy sort of area with plants that look like fly traps not venues fly traps the other one that fills up with water you harvest them and you get spec x but you only get a small amount of it

You didnt talk about the climbing mode and non climbing mode at all.
You see the footprint icon in the top right corner when you climb?
Well, press right mouse button to leave that mode.
You wont climb, but your Drake definitely runs faster. I think stamina also recovers faster, but I didnt mess around with that yet.
Sometimes even on flat ground your stamina wont recover while in climbing mode (maybe standing on a small rock)
I did say right click to drop :P
He means you can just right click on flat ground to angle the drake's head up as an indication that you're in "climb mode" and you can just walk up onto a wall without having to jump onto it.

they'd be super OP if they actually had good DPS. I got lucky on my first egg and had twins pop out, a male and a female interestingly, the one I use for traveling i'm stating mostly stamina, but since I ended up with 2 relatively high level same stat drakes I decided to go straight damage with the other one. at this point I've only put about 20 levels on them but the difference in damage output is fairly significant, at the cost of having to wait more often for stamina to regenerate.
interestingly I found that they get mate boost even though they can't breed. the problem is you'd have to be on multiplayer to actually take advantage of it though since following drakes don't glide or climb.
you can cancel the super jump mid way so you can glide instead of gripping to the wall with right click

That moment you fly over the pit leading to the purple zone and your drake is out of stamina and you get destroyed by other drakes and you say "nooblets should make a video about what you do when that happens"

I wish I had a pc and I could play on your servers :( I’m a console guy and every server is hostile and the last server we tried we got wiped by pricks with no life’s. Seeing you all maxed out with cool stuff and dinos makes me jealous. Oh well keep making videos :)

Official PVE 270 we have a 111% ascendant rock drake saddle BP. Mats are nuts so the price is high.
You don't know about the right Click to toggle climbing stance on or off. When you are on flat Ground, right clicking Makes your drake's head go up or down, when it is up your Drake Will climb on any angle. When it's head is down you won't stick to everything, it is easier to get around on the Ground

Rock drakes are something I really want and are my favorite creatures but my server cluster doesn’t have Abberation
just walking around cloaked without a light the nameless always seem to aggro, reapers dont however... do you know of any good places to farm crystal on aberration?
Spartatan bio luminescent forest, blue crystals are everywhere and they give a ton of crystals and blue gems

Most things, like the Megalo for example, dont aggro to rock drakes. You can sit beside them uncloaked and the will pay you no mind so i dont think cloaking works against wild dinos
Kanerz420 it works, just some dinos dont attack them, same with the giga and reaper kings
I do appreciate that you are trying to help but his video is literally twice as long as required. Something to consider. Drakes are so easy to use, also don't recall if you acknowledged that the shift button is required to fly.

The shift button must be held down to glide otherwise you'll be spending a lot of time falling off of things as it is not mentioned at the 2:28 mark nor elsewhere to my knowledge.
actually there is 2 fly modes holding shift is a slower glide and pressing shift once to activate it is a faster glide with more maneuvrability
Steve there seems to be an alternate flying mode if you press once shift to activate the fly instead of holding it the rock drake gets way more speed when gliding and has more maneuvrability please test it out i've shown this to my friends and they can all agree that it does fly faster and it can steer on a dime

@@godzilla1kaiju well on console it would be the button you hold to keep gliding with the rock drake try pressing that button once to toggle the gliding instead of holding the button
@@maticooli112 there must be a misunderstanding because I don't hold the button I toggle, it's the same button as sprint
@@godzilla1kaiju ah then you're doing it right on pc we can't toggle to sprint while on foot so on the rock drake we can just toggle try holding the button while flying and see how clunky it is to control hahaha
