My second comment on this video. Your video helped me with replacing the first latch. Then my other latch failed. I had a small shop replace the latch this time. The door wouldn’t close properly and the shop said it was like that when it arrived at their shop. I found they had not installed the latch properly. I just used this video again and all is well. Just wanted to thank you again for making this video. After my first use of this video, I subscribed to your channel and enjoy your other videos. Thanks again.

Man i tell you, i really appreciate you guys taking the time to show us how this is done. I am having the same issue with the passenger side of my truck. This video is spot on. I was trying to figure out how those little fasteners that hold the rods come off. I did not know they open up and you slide out the rod. I didn't know how to remove the latch and this video helped. The bottom one you can probably reach and trip it, but I'm not sure about the top one. I'm sorry but that's all I've got. I wish I was there to help you because I'm sure it's doable.

I was just wondering, I fixed both sides of my 2000 F350 7.3l back in 2017 and I guess I was lucky, I just had to replace the latch-lock cable ends with the billet aluminum ones from Ebay so I'm guessing that this was customer request or the cables may have been stretched with age, idk?

    • @tonyscarcare5657

You need to pull on the cables and push on the door at the same time. You may need an extra person. I've found that if the door has been closed for a long time, they stick. I also had one recently that I had to stick a screw driver in the top latch to release it. If you have the new cables and latches, you can look at those to see how and what needs to move.
