Hello Rachael Because of Covid staying at home , I came on your senior exercises and I am 75 in December and I have always exercised in some way and what you are doing for seniors is what I was doing in a warm water pool before lock down ! I love listening to your accent and am doing the senior standing Pilates every other day and rotating them , thank you so much . Charlotte in Ohio
Hello Rachel, I have just tried your video for seniors and I really enjoyed doing it. I will be 71 years old next week and I know I'm not fit and have balance issues. So when I came across your workout I thought I would give it a try. You are very inspiring and encouraging, I'm going to try to do the work out as often as I'm able. Thank you
I have always loved Pilates! But, I was not able to keep up with the classes because of work. If there is one good thing from the Covid Virus, it's being able to follow your classes early in the morning, and go forward with my day. Love your teaching style and knowledge. You have a no nonsense approach but are grateful and calm.
I liked your words so much.. it changed a lot of things inside me.. you changed my mind.. i will enjoy moving to and feeling good..not only to have a perfect body ..
I so appreciate you and your videos. They changed my life. I experienced terrible back pain after my hip replacement surgery. (The hip is great, btw!). I tried many things to improve the back problem. After doing Pilates a few times a week for a couple of months, I have virtually no back pain anymore. It was all due to my weak core. I remain a devoted fan. Ali from Wisconsin, USA
Thanks Rachel; even though I m handicapped I was always a strong ambulant. I hated any form of intentional exercise due to poor coordination . However as I age I’ve noticed balance and walking had become more challenging. I want to maintain my health and mobility for ad long as possible and am being intentional with your videos, doing them almost daily. I can’t say I love doing them but I see benefits already. I also enjoy you and your approach, you’re very easy to follow. So blessings! 🇨🇦
Thank u Rachel ....for the wise words..I am so happy that I found your Pilates at the beginning when covid started and pass it on to my friends...we should embrace our bodies so love your comment
I love your exercise sessions. I have been doing one of your over 60’s range throughout lockdown and I feel so much more agile and stronger. It’s lovely to have such a variety so as not to get bored! Thank you.
During this corvid19 times i have fallen away from regular exercise and I feel it! My wife recommended your class and I found it helpful today. I seem to have suffered from balancing so will work on that. So thank you !
We would love a 15 days pilates session (3-4 times a week), just to not have to shuffle around and look for something new every day. thank you!!! you are great at it!
Hello, I hear you and that's a good idea. I am currently inundated with requests but I will add your request to my list for future filming. Thanks so much for the feedback, really appreciate that. Take care, best wishes, Rachel
Please answer me, i have 3 questions ! 1- can i do pilates 6 times a week ? 2- when should i change my pilates exercises so my body won't get used to it.. do i have to change it every month or what? 3- can i only do pilates to tone up my body? I don't need to do strength workouts right? Thank you in advance
Thanks for the u tube sessions. Really enjoying them as a variety from cardio and weights during lockdown. I am in my early 60's but relatively fit but missing the social side of exercise classes.
I love what you said that it's not about having a bikini body because I am so tired of hearing this as the reason to exercise!!! Exercise is like eating :) we need it to keep moving in some shape or form, whatever age we are, for good physical and mental health. Thanks for these videos :)
Hello Rachel. My wife and I have been spending a great deal of time during this COVID 19 period in relative isolation at our cottage on a lake in Eastern Ontario in Canada. We have adopted your videos for seniorsto do (we are fully qualified !) . After a session with you on youtube we head to the lake for a lovely refreshing swim. Thank-you for your efforts in bring pilates into our lives. Stay healthy. best regards. Andy and Anne
Hi Rachel, I love your videos and you are truly an inspiration and a great motivator! I have been exercising for many years, mainly cardio with some and Pilates. My question is, now that I’m 61 is it ok for me to do your intermediate level workouts as I prefer them to the seniors workouts? Thanks again for your great videos.
Thanks for the advice Rachel. I have been doing your you tube work outs now every week (mostly!) for about 17 months. I try for at least two a week sometimes 3 and I love how they make me feel. Pilates has definitely made my core feel stronger. I am so glad I discovered your channel, being able to fit in a little Pilates when I have spare time is so rewarding 😀
Hello Tina, Thank you for watching. It is wonderful to hear how you have made Pilates part of your lifestyle, well done! You are a shining example of how dedication and commitment really pays off. You have built your core strength, and no doubt improved your posture and overall wellbeing as a result. Keep up the great work and I'll keep going with you! I've just filmed another workout so I'll be editing that and hope to get it online in the next two weeks. Have a great day, Rachel 😊
Hello Deborah, You are doing absolutely the right thing. If your back is playing up, it just means your body and mind need more time to work on placement and technique and the best way to do that is to follow my beginners tutorials 1-4 and then beginners workout. It takes time to build strength and awareness of the movements, that's what makes Pilates different, it's less about doing the hardest exercise possible and more about learning to do each movement correctly for maximum benefit. So I say, well done to you. You're listening to your body and working on learning what works for you. Take care and remember sometimes LESS is MORE! 😊
